I've heard a couple of covers: Belle & Sebastian, Muse, Deftones and killers and Reel big Fish (i think both of them songs of morrissey) I want to download the Peel's Sessions, tomorow maybe. Have you heard them?

I have never heard them. Well, I might have heard them on the tv or on the radio but not by self.. something (my english is not perfect, you know?)

I know all the lyrics already :) Yeah, I have to star downloading different versions of the songs, but it's not the same...

I don't know if you know every Smiths song ever made, I do and I'm sad about it. I "recently" downloaded 3 that I didn't had listen to yet because they are not in any albuns or compilations: Jeane (the most known), Wonderful Women and Work is a Four-Letter Word. I nearly cried while listening to them. :cry: Now, there are no more new songs to listen to. :( I still have a lot of songs of Morrissey's solo carreer but that's not the same for me. :(

It's funny to see that Morrissey is the only one who says "questinable". This is a stupid list. More than half are not gay.

I think that when she first showed up she was not prepared to become so famous. If you compare her first video and then one of her last videos you will notice a big difference, and it's not on the way she sounds. Now, she just shows her body. She might have cared about music but she doesn't anymore. For example, when she came to Portugal to a festival she did playback (I´m not sure if it was all the show or if it was only part of it, but she did pretend to play piano). Do you think this is an attitude of someone who cares about music? I pity the ones who paid to see her that day. Really, really annoying. I understand what you are saying, but what morrissey says is that he thinks "it's such a shame that she became so influential to very small children." he doesn't say it's her fault, he doesn´t say it's anybody's fault, just that it shouldn't be like this. And I agree with him. ;)

Impressive, to say the least. But, I do think Paul McCartney is a bigger icon than Morrissey, should have won. Morrissey would still come 2nd.

Oasis, Deftones, Muse and Coldplay, all of them were influenced by The Smiths and are important bands, whether you like them or not.

As I said in another topic Jeff Buckley was very much influenced by The Smiths, he once said: "The Smiths hasn't been equalled. That goes for the composition of the songs, the lyrics and the performance. What Johnny Marr and he (Morrissey) did was fabulous, nobody can beat that. If I'd ever start a rock band, I'd want to approximate that level." I'm surprised he isn't on the list.

For me he is asexual because he doesn't feel a sexual atraction for either women or men. On the other hand, i believe he is bisexual too because he can love women and men. Morrissey is unique. :) A lot fans invade his privacy too, not only paparazzi. Morrissey has a lot of crazy fans.
