I'm 16 so a bit of a new fan. I was watching vh2 last summer and 'there is a light that never goes out' came on and I instantly fell in love with it so I went and bought most of their songs on itunes, so that's how my smiths fandom started. I'd always been told they were dreary, depressing and miserable so I was suprised to find them witty, original and melodic.
