Nicole Kidman, Naomi Watts and Melissa George
Brides of Christ and other CLASSY TV SERIES ( a lot different to soaps) attracted the best of our actors and actresses. Nicole was also in a min-series called BANGKOK HILTON which if you can find on DVD try and get as you will see why at that point in time, that Nicole was rated as highly as she was here. Here is a youtube snippet.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-_AOi1G_KA Naomi did a few commercials for tv .... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jB_ZCX971aU Naomi and Nicole also co-starred together in an early indie movie called FLIRTING. I think Naomi is lovely and down to earth. I met her once years ago in a shopping queue!! We had a bit of a chat while waiting to have our groceries checked and she just was so nice.

Should fireworks be banned from sale to the public?
We had fireworks banned from public sale nearly 2 decades ago here in Oz. We can still buy them for special occasions but we have to drive to the capital Canberra to buy them. There is a bit more control as we have to leave our details and show ID to purchase them. And be over 18 years old or no sale. We no longer have those incidents of cats getting their heads blown off by psychos who used to think it was funny to stick fireworks in animals ears which used to be a regular occurance. For local organised bonfires on special occasions, we apply to our local council for permission to stage it. But you just can't go to Canberra, buy fireworks and stage your own display without permission from your local council. Of course, to get permission there are a variety of conditions that have to be met. I'd say it's a better and safer way to enjoy fireworks.

Down spiral of love for britney
I agree. It's not the WORST album cover I have ever seen, not by far.

Gimme More Directors Cut Video Inside!
^^ hehe!! Gimme was on an overnight music show here in Oz called Rage. They played the censored version. So if Rage, which is quite liberal in what they show, don't show this new version, I doubt it will be shown on any of the other more conservative music shows here then.

Britney Preparing for Possible Comeback Tour
I'm sure Britney could do a tour. Maybe not a full on one with multiple dates, but a tour like the Spice Girls with special selected cities.

The worst handled project...
I'll be buying the album when it comes out as I don't really like singles these days. I really couldn't care less what happens in her private life, that is her business. She's delivering the goods, this album, and I really don't care if she does any promo or not. From what I've heard so far, it sounds like a stomping album and the fact that she recorded it in such dire circumstances just makes it all the more special. She may be a lot of things, but in the recording studio this chick rocks.

I'd buy a perfume that smells like Money. If you can't have enough of it, smelling like it would be a consolation. lol

Madonna is overvalued, Bank Of America warns
^^ I heard that it's her next studio album followed by a greatest hits compilation and that will end her contract.

The day the music industry died
It was interesting to read this week that Madonna has signed a 10 year contract with LiveNation for 60M pounds for a percentage of concert takings and merchandise and they will also be releasing her albums after her Warners contract expires in 2 years. It seems artists money now comes from touring and fobbing off inferior tour souvenirs for inflated prices. I can see the price of concert tickets absolutely going through the roof when a lot of other top line artists follow Madonnas lead. The reason why music is in the state it is in is because there is so much RUBBISH being released. The best music is RETRO in my personal opinion. They must be making heaps off old back catalogues.

Kelvin MacKenzie rant riles the Scots
On a smaller scale, my grandfather was a Scot and was a very thrifty man. He ran a corumbin mine in South Africa and made his own beer (legal not moonshine) when he came to Australia in the 1940s. I'm sure most of us know Scots who are VERY entrepeneurial. (sorry for the mispelling) That was a very sweeping statement that McKenzie made. Obvioulsy a flop attempt at being controversial.

video games and violence?
My nephew started playing them at around 12 years of age. The only time I noticed any violence from him was when he'd chuck the handpiece on the floor through frustration until he learnt to play the game competently. He plays with his friends most of the time, so it is a kind of social thing despite what some people say. I much prefer him and his friends to be battling their daily frustrations out in a game than in real life on each other. :D

Muslim medical students get picky
No wonder the Middle East has some of the worst health outcome statistics. The average age of death in Afghanistan according to the CIA website is 44 years old. That's incredibly young. It can only be compounded by these ridiculous attitudes of muslim doctors. Maybe they should be awarded LIMITED medical degrees if they are only willing to do LIMITED medical tests and procedures then?? I really feel sorry for you guys once these guys become doctors in your health system.

national dna database
Well they should make it VOLUNTARY so good citizens like you can give your DNA freely while those of us who are dead set against can opt out. I'd prefer to give my fingerprints than my whole individual genetic code to some keystone cops thanks. I wouldn't even give this highly personal information to my BEST FRIEND let alone to some agency to do god knows what with it.
