finally caught up with this, and omg Jessica did so much better than I expected Thank you to everyone who voted for Jessica, especially those 12's from @Calum and @Herbs <3 Jessica was really an underrated star in late 90's/early 00's. Her whole debut album could have really been Britney's debut album . For me 'I Do' has the same quality production of Britney's 'Born To Make You Happy' and Celine's 'Just The Way It Is' ...Max Martin production at finest!!!

INJI was on my radar as well, and definitely thought it was going to be a hit!!! That was my 8 pointer if I had voted, but now I see that still it wouldn’t be enough to put it through the Q threshold!!! My other two voters were Summericia 6 points and Altyr 3 points :o

and @Michael Bubré, I am truly sorry that the whole bombshell news happen to be right at when your song was playing...I don't think I've even thought about the aspects of the impact that could have created...all I was thinking at that moment is that I need to step off the contest ASAP, and I know I wasn't feeling great about continuing with AY YOLA the more I was reading about it!!! So my apologies!!! And I know this is already closed chapter but I've actually done a research of the band sometimes in the summer when I discovered them first and I know there was nothing really news worthy at that time!!! Also my Spotify Wrapped tells me that Homay ended in #57 spot on my Top Songs of 2025. Ouch!!!

I've actually did rankings as well (just for my own sake) and I don't know how it would have all played if I was still competing, but 3 of the DNQ's from semi 2 are in my votes ...8 pointer, 6 pointer and 3 pointer!!!

Hello everyone, I have a very important information to share regarding the participation in BJSC180!!! After further review and new information that has come to my attention, I have made the decision to withdraw AY YOLA “Homay” from the current BJSC edition. It was recently discovered that the band publicly supports Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. As this directly contradicts my values and the values I want Bøtanikkä to represent, therefore I cannot continue to participate with an entry tied to that stance. I apologise for the disruption mid-contest, but I believe it’s the right thing to do. Thank you to everyone who listened, supported, and your understanding is truly appreciated. A replacement entry will not be submitted, and Bøtanikkä will sit out the remainder of this edition, but will be back if we're allowed in BJSC181. — Addy!
