BJSC wasn't prepared about the slayage that was going to happen right after you joined!!!

Another fun fact from BJSC43, only 14 countries are still competing 14+ years later (with Numayania on and off), and those are: FSR Rontvia D'Áskorza Bøtanikkä Elëdan Persephonia Numayania Hendinia Kluminican Republic Fljótavík Seyetana Terra Avium Danævia Greenfroze Ojnoj

While you're struggling in that small plane sitting in the middle seats until next Monday, don't forget that you have entertainment system where you'll find some trivia and historical facts through the times we have hosted contests in BJSC!!! BJSC43 hosted in March/April 2012 After Bøtanikkä secured their first win with Emma Hewitt - Colors it was our time to host the very first BJSC. Back then hosting was much simpler, but yet it attracted a lot of traffic and conversation throughout the threads, whether that be semi-finals thread or odds thread etc. etc. Quite fun!!! BJSC43 Finale: Did you know that the very first BJSC hosted by Bøtanikkä produced one of the most dramatic finishes in contest history? When the final votes had been counted (I held the power to break the tie but apparently ended not voting for either of them, ooopsie ), two countries finished on exactly the same number of points. That was Numayania and Elëdan (and what a coincidence that Numayania actually returns in the contest I am hosting ). Both countries finished with 180 points, and the title was ultimately decided on the tiebreak rule, with Numayania being crowned the winner after receiving points from a greater number of countries 26 vs 24. Now, 143 editions later, history has brought them back together. Both Numayania and Elëdan are competing in BJSC 186, once again sharing the same stage!!! Will Numayania add another chapter to its legacy? Will Elëdan finally rewrite history? We shall find out soon!!! Thanks for reading <3 Numayania - Dragonette - Let It Go vs Elëdan - iamamiwhoami - Play

You want my glasses?

Just purchased a copy of digital album for 7.99 USD!!! And I am streaming the whole album as we speak <3

ok let me do my part in the US!!! 100,001 copy here I come!!!

no seat swapping allowed!!! soz.

BJSC186 AQ - Little Sis Nora - Cool Like That After unexpectedly bringing the trophy home with To France, Bøtanikkä isn't feeling the pressure at all!!! As this edition's AQ, we're swapping prestige for personality and bringing three minutes of unapologetic fun. Little Sis Nora has built a reputation for turning tongue-in-cheek confidence into irresistible fast dance-pop, and Cool Like That is exactly the kind of track that reminds us not to take ourselves too seriously. It's playful, catchy, self-aware, and impossible to sit still through. Enjoy it <3

1h 47 mins V 1h 54 mins (exl. AQ's) is split pretty equally, considering both 16 minutes and 9 minutes songs ended up in Semi 2!!!

how nice that all the songs are available on Spotify...yes even Elëdan

sorry the national flags won't have that big of a role in terms of BJSC this time, but thanks to all of you for submitting them...I still wanted to add them into the seat map and will do the same for the finals etc. etc.

ugh I expected the quality of the airplane seat map would be much higher lmao. sorry if your eyes are hurting!!!

BJSC186 – Semi FinalsHello my favorite people and welcome aboard Bøtanikkä Airways. Today, our departure consists of Airbus A320 flight to the Grand Finale. Aircraft left is operating Semi Final 1. Aircraft right is operating Semi Final 2. Please locate your assigned seat and make yourselves comfortable. Your seat has been carefully allocated by the Contest Operations Team and must not be changed during boarding. But before we depart, the captain Assy! has a few important announcements: Please remain in your assigned cabin. A privacy curtain separates our aircraft from the exclusive Business Class, where our Auto Qualifiers are enjoying complimentary champagne and pretending not to be nervous. At this time, Bøtanikkä and Hendinia are relaxing behind the curtain and they are not accepting visitors, selfies, lobbying attempts, bribes, and/or campaign speeches...anyone attempting to cross the curtain will be politely escorted back to Economy by cabin crew!!! Also do not occupy blocked seats. You may notice a few empty seats on the rear aircraft throughout the cabin, but please do not move into these seats, no matter how tempting the extra legroom may look. These are intentionally unavailable and have been blocked for weight and balance purposes. We don't want one semi outweigh the other semi, as we will only accept 20 countries from each sides of the aircraft to the finals. Also please be aware of your surroundings and refrain from excessive campaigning. Repeatedly telling your neighbors that your entry is "a guaranteed qualifier" may result in your headphones being replaced with an endless loop of the last-place entry from BJSC history or 11 minutes of melody-free vocals over a repetitive unchanging dance beats. Your choice!!! Cabin crew will soon begin boarding announcements as we reveal every nation taking part in today's flights. When boarding is complete you will receive an immigration form that need to be filled and ranked with your favorite 10 countries ranked in 12, 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 order, and send it to Captain Assy! via PM, and eventually after 7 days of flying (deadline Monday 23:59PM BST) will discover who will be receiving the upgrade to the Business Class in Grand Final. Welcome aboard, and good luck to everyone <3. Ok I PM'ed @Henessy Lake and @nine¾ to send me their national flags while I am working the rest. I think I have everyone elses flags (🤞 )

Does Freidland have a national flag?

Yes we are starting tonight...reconciling the final manifest for bag check, weight and balance etc. etc.

</3 Sorry to those who are affected, but if you could please submit/edit your new entries via the same link, it would be truly appreciated.

Thank you Rob <3 In all honesty I’m fine with the delay, I got work assignment (unplanned), so no rushing from me!!!

I don’t think it should be any trouble accepting you, considering I haven’t heard nothing yet from the mods! Also I would love to have Hendinia sitting with me in Business Class (AQ), so I don’t feel alone in the cabin during the whole semi’s shenanigans…we can both watch ya’ll struggling in economy middle seats while we sip champagne!!!
