The boys gave us a third Top 10 hit of this year <3 and finished 4th (only the second time in Bøtanikkä's book, joining Stanga <3). Now for BJSC185 we're (trying) to go To France by Mike Oldfield & Maggie Reilly <3 released in 1984 (I was 1 year old :D). The song was a hit in mainland Europe, but for some reasons didn't really took off in UK, and peaked only #48. Personally what makes this song so special for me is the history behind the story of Mary, Queen of Scots when she returned to Scotland and got imprisoned by Queen Elizabeth. She was always hoping one day she would be released from prison, and she would be able to escape to France, but that never happened. You all know the rest of history what happened to her after being imprisoned for 18 years. That was the sad life of Mary Stuart, the last queen of Scotland and that she never made it To France </3. I just think that the UK always sends a decent songs (bar Spaceman which was amazing), and if you're not in any individuals Top 5, then it usually translates to no votes! You definitely have to meet that threshold to get some points!!!
