Do you like her? And do you prefer her as an actress or as a singer? I prefer the singer. :) I have both of her albums "Everything I've Got In My Pocket" and the new one "Seastories". I think she's a very talented pop/jazz/folk singer songwriter, definitely worth checking out. Best tracks: Everything i've got in my pocket, Invisible girl, Wire, Deeper Water, Down, Yellow eyes (from her first album), Stars & Satellites, Beloved, How to be good, King without a queen, Mary, London Skies (from her new album). By the way, "Seastories" is on sale on US itunes, and there is a bonus track version of the album that includes a track called "Complicated Man". However that track is only on sale with the whole album (which I already own on CD)... <_< Does anyone have that song on mp3 since it's not included in the CD?

Single's not doing too good at the moment I'm afraid... Has failed to chart since its release on itunes on June 25th... :( And the physical (which was supposed to be released this Monday, July 9th) has been postponed indefinitely. Or at least it has been postponed and no release date has been confirmed yet, to sound more optimistic... Her official website says "summer single to be released soon".

If you want you can get the Australian release. It will be released as a CD single there at the beginning of July.

Does anybody have an mp3 of this song? (even if low quality). The single is officially out on July 9th, so it seems like a long wait! I can't wait to get it. The b-side will be Richard X's remix of Geek Love. Thanks B)

Thanks for stressing on "indeed" with capital letters. ;) Its weird cos Amazon still has it listed as a pre-order. It could be an import though. I guess I'll just have to wait and see if I ever get the chance to put my hands on this single. :(

Has the CD single for The River been cancelled in the UK? I pre-ordered the item via Amazon UK and it was supposed to be released on May 21st. However I just checked my account and it says that delivery has been delayed until January 2010! (probably a system error or sthg) :wacko: :lol: I checked hmv.co.uk as well and it says the title has been deleted and is therefore unavailable. On itunes UK they have the single available for download coupled with an acoustic version which is quite boring. I was hoping for a physical release with the B-side You're Gone and the version of the River featuring Joel (without M Shadows And Synster Gates). So has the physical release been cancelled?

Words of wisdom mate, seriously! :D This is what I resort to doing, but sometimes it is hard to find rare mixes or b-sides in file sharing networks. This is where itunes comes in handy... Am still waiting for my gift card to arrive before I know whether it works or not.

Yeah, gift cards sounds like a good idea! I will give that a try. You dont have to enter any credit card details or billing address when you purchase songs using a gift card, so that could work. Well they could have released it as a download only single at least, like Nelly did. If they wanted to promote the album instead, I think it's rather silly to do it with the second single. Nelly has done it with her fourth single, and it is working well because of that. Say It Right is a strong single that gives people an incentive to buy the album that has already given her 3 top 5 singles. By the time Fergalicious was released (outside the UK), people only knew London Bridge, which they could buy as a single...

I always wondered why Fergalicious wasnt released as Fergie's second single in the UK as the record company went on to release Glamorous after London Bridge (with a 6 month gap, too). Can anyone shed some light on that? :wacko:

This week I finally decided to give digital downloads a try instead of buying import singles from the UK or OZ (I mainly buy CD albums otherwise). I was surprised to learn that services such as itunes have geographic restrictions for download, ie only people residing in the UK can download tunes from itunes UK, and so on... Unfortunately itunes is not available in the country where I live (I currently live in Dubai), so I cannot download anything. I can just browse and listen to previews... <_< Do you guys know of any digital download services that do not have restrictions and allow downloads from all territories? Any help would be highly appreciated. :D

Hey, How's everyone? I used to buy Australian singles via www.hmv.com.au, which was recently acquired by Sanity. Since Sanity has recently decided to cut their CD single stock to the minimum (and hence is not offering all CD singles available in Australia), I was wondering whether any of you knows a good online Australian retailer that sells CD singles for a good price. I found www.chaos.com which has a wide selection; however they only deliver to certain countries... Could anyone help with some suggestions please? Thanks! ^_^
