Wow!!! This always does pretty well on NYE and on party playlists but that’s some brilliant streams there! An enduring, career defining, cross generational smash.

Love it to re-enter the UK charts but it’s too late in the week isn’t it. Massive update though more than i expected!

I feel like we may get some music this year but my gut is telling me the album isn’t coming this year. I do for some reason feel like another Breakin Dishes esque album track from the past will have a moment though (prays it’s Complicated!!)

2026 predictions (26 of them!) Madonna’s Confessions esque album gives her a top 40 single and the album itself goes to #1 in the UK. Gaga has another big year. We get new music what’s tied as a complete edition to MAYHEM. She doesn’t win album of the year at Grammys but wins 4 awards on the night . We get another top ten single in the UK with as as of now unheard track. Gaga also gets a track what wasn’t a single from the past have a Bloody Mary moment thanks to a pop culture / viral Tik Tok.a Harry Styles has a massive year. Year end #1 album big lead single and even bigger follow up single. Beyonces album is critically successful. It’s doesn’t have a major long lasting hit but it goes to #1 on the albums chart. Ed Sheeran makes another bid for Christmas number one with a new original track. Lewis Capaldi gets another number one single and album but not to the success he had with his debut album. Ariana’s tour sees multiple albums re-enter the UK Top 40. We also get new music what’s not tied to eternal sunshine and another UK Top 5 single. Rihanna doesn’t release the album. But another song from her discography gets a Breakin Dishes moment. Taylor doesn’t release a new studio album but she does something to mark 20 years of her debut album which finally gets UK #1 status. Olivia Rodrigo experiments in sound with her third album. It still goes to #1 in the UK. No new music from Adele! Sam Fender wins album of the year at the BRITs. Amy Winehouses Back to Black returns to the UK Top 10 on the albums chart to mark the 20th anniversary. The Weeknd doesn’t release a new album but scores a major hit (with Lady Gaga!!) the highlights continues to chart highly each week in the UK. Christina Aguilera releases an English language album! K Pop Music continues to perform strongly! Sugababes finally release a studio album! It goes top 5 in the UK. Sienna Spiro gets the Brits critics choice award and a #1 album. Olivia Dean gets another number one single later in the year when she releases an extended / deluxe of the current album. Bruno Mars finally releases an album towards end of the year. Another massive solo single from him and a UK #1 album! Leigh Anne goes top 5 with her album but doesn’t get a hit from it. JADE scores another hit later in the year what’s a collaboration with another British artist. Katy Perry releases music what’s better than 143 but it still doesn’t do anything. No new album but at least one new single. Dua teases music throughout the later part of the year. No new album but lead single arrives later in the year and is a hit! RAYE gets a big album debut and another major hit! Extra prediction!! Greatest Hits albums continue to chart highly week on week on the albums chart what prompts the OCC to act and introduce a rule change what takes into account at some point into 2027.

Happy New Year!!! Now we are in a new calendar year I thought id kick off with a new thread. What do you think Rihanna has in store for us in 2026? Purely a predictions and chat thread 🙂

It really is very close?! (Where do we see the charts from 101-200 i presume?) Hopefully we can get it there. The Christmas albums are dropping pretty fast (Buble will likely still be there this chart week) but hoping it gets there with a decent NYE?! This could’ve genuinely been her longest charting era since The Fame if we had a summer single?!

#71 on the albums chart update this week in the UK?! Should be safe for another week too 75.

UK Midweeks are out and it’s not currently top 100 at mids stage (again ) BUT I do think there’s potential for it to re-enter again! Christmas albums are dropping on streaming now and I imagine units are tight. Hopefully we get some extra weeks to kick 2026 off right.

Not currently top 100 on the chart today in the UK! Here’s hoping it returns next week but if not next week I’m hopeful the week after could be a good shot when everyone’s fully out of the Christmas era?! I still think it must be close to charting and hopefully streams increase for NYE?!

Album is at #62 in the UK this week a climb!! 211 weeks top 75 | 306 weeks top 100! Such a consistent album within the charts now ❣️!! Intrigued to see how it fares in 2026 but it’s had an incredible 2025 on the charts!

Interesting you say this as I noticed Back to Black and Born To Die had both climbed quite significantly the last few weeks and I’d wondered on the reason. The Fame usually does well weekly anyways though. Ready for its top 75 return come January if not this week as it’s there at the midweek point.

Not top 100 on today’s chart update! Still hopeful it’ll reenter in 2026! But I imagine it’s not too far outside the top 100 and that units are pretty tight. Stream the album of the year to get it to 34 weeks!

JADEs signed CD is sold out on her store too! Hope it gets a restock but should at the least see a return to the top 40 if not top 20!

What a time to be a stan!!! She feels so much like 2008-2012 Gaga here in the sense that she just feels so hungry and determined and sure of herself but in a good way! I’m not anticipating a full length album by any means but I do feel like we might get some new material which will be great! If she does release music as droplets it’ll be great way of retaining and getting streams until LG8 comes along. I wonder as well if we’ll also get collaborations but with her as the feature I strongly feel like the Abel/Weeknd collaboration is going to happen now (if it’s not been recorded already).

Hopefully a return to form once the festive period is over. The album usually does well for NYE / NYD parties! Hopefully it sneaks just a single place climb on next weeks chart. Good to see it’s still top 100 though! And not long until the 400 weeks milestone 🫶🏽 (I actually still remember the 200 weeks milestone feeling pretty recent?!).

What a moment for the ages. A UK #1 SINGLE! Kylie really genuinely is unstoppable now in the UK. What an achievement I’m made up for her. It’s a win for pop music! Didn’t ever think we’d see a pop female get the festive #1 again!!

I’m hopeful It’s going to return in 2026! 33 weeks is still impressive enough for 2025 Gaga though (3rd highest weeks for a solo era) on the Apple Music albums chart it’s still as high as #49 including Christmas releases.

Kylie getting it though makes me hopeful other names might try and an original release (not just Amazon exclusive…) but another original track from someone like Ariana who streams well (or wishful thinking here but a Gaga OG Christmas track!! *whats not Christmas tree*. UK wise I can see someone like JADE potentially doing one next year?! But it’s good to see a new Christmas track be in the running for the festive #1 and one what’s actually decent too!

Kylie getting it would honestly be such a moment but since Golden onwards her UK fanbase has been so good on release weeks and she’s still achieving chart peaks!! Rooting for her to do it!
