Dua Lipa • Debut Album
Back inside the UK top 40 this week at #34!
-
Good Girl Gone Bad: Reloaded // 3rd album re-release
#65 this week. 280 weeks on the UK albums top 100 now!
-
Lorde - Virgin
I found this very strong on first listen! A massive return to form for her.

Mayhem ● chart topic
#100 on streaming in UK this week and #35 on sales! Not holding much hope for anything single related but hoping it can scrape the top 100 this week and it doesn’t drop out altogether.

Mayhem ● chart topic
MAYHEM at #76 in UK this week and now matches what ARTPOP spent in the top 100 with 16 weeks! Next week being Glastonbury week I do hope it can hang in there! I’m suspecting some climbers from the performers and the surprise acts and of course the regular new entries too.

Lewis Capaldi - Survive
Appreciate that he’s a writer but there’s absolutely no variety to him Is there 😆 could’ve been on either of his previous albums without sounding out of place. It’s alright enough but he’s just one of those where 90% of his material is hard to distinguish as an individual track as they just all sound the same. Can see it doing well though as there’s always good will around him when it comes to him! Hold Me While You Wait remains his best by a long way for me!

EastEnders
Nicola tearing down a Christmas tree (in June) about to begin a violent outburst one episode to her playing family games the next 😆 she's the campest character in soap right now!

twilight zone • 4th single
Ok this is really hitting me now! Some of the other deluxe tracks like dandelion especially I was hammering during the deluxe release but now I’ve let the hype settle and I’m going back to the era I really get this one now! At the time it felt quite close to home but I think it’s one that I’m going to appreciate a lot more across time!
-
Lewis Capaldi - Survive
Lewis is pretty chart savvy so I suspect there may be some tactics to push for #1 when if it ends up like Pointless. But he is one of those who has goodwill in his favour and Glastonbury could be a big way of commencing a new era.

Zara Larsson - Midnight Sun
Midnight Sun sounds sounds so familiar! Seeing a lot of love for it across my X account today. Probably the most I’ve liked of any of Zara’s material too for some time. She’s one of those acts that’s has crazy potential, can perform, can be a vocalist but the material itself has been what’s holding her back! Hoping to see her get some decent material what’s deserving of her.

Rihanna - US Number One Singles Survivor - 2025- Round 5
Round 5 is now open and we’re looking for you to choose your least favourite of what’s remaining. 6 songs now remain! Last round we lost Rude Boy the major hit from her (imo) Magnum opus Rated R and SOS her very first chart topper over in the US and at the time one of her biggest releases here in the UK too! Both tracks had to settle for the #2 spot! Results so far 13th - Work 5/12 Votes - Round 1 13th - The Monster 5/12 Votes - Round 1 12th - S&M Remix 9/11 Votes - Round 2 11th - Live Your Life 6/11 Votes - Round 2 10th - Take A Bow - 8/14 Votes - Round 3 9th - Love The Way You Lie - 6/14 Votes - Round 3 8th - Rude Boy 5/12 votes - Round 4 7th - SOS 4/12 votes - Round 4

Australian (ARIA) Charts get massive overhaul
This would be a great change for the singles chart here (especially in December!...) It's a good move not that I closely follow the ARIA chart too much these days, I imagine a similar rule here could perhaps benefit UK based artists too who haven't quite got the pull as acts like say Dua who are global. I'd be here for something like that in the UK but say maybe 5 years as opposed to 2! As for the album charts though I really feel like they should just move Greatest Hits to the compilation or have a separate chart for those it's those kind of albums that bother me more so than studio albums what are years old but still genuinely popular. Hits albums have always had appeal but not to the extent of today!

Cardi B - AM I THE DRAMA?
Didn’t ever know if we’d see the day of a whole new Cardi album! Long overdue but I’m glad it’s finally seeing the light of day. She feels like someone who’s about to embark on like her 5th album now 😆. Hoping there’s some strong tracks on there what we are yet to here but including UP and WAP will be good for streaming points and the chart run!

Mayhem ● chart topic
Glastonbury will have a big impact next week! Here’s hoping this can get a good run here in the UK though!
-
Radical Optimism • Third Album
#44 in the UK midweeks chart! Good to see the stadium shows in the UK have given this album a boost.
-
Mayhem ● chart topic
MAYHEM at #82 in the UK update! I just hope it doesn’t leave the top 100 altogether in the next few weeks! If it’s at #100 or higher than that Friday though it’ll at least match what ARTPOP spent inside the top 100 here! That spent 16 weeks top 100! Hopefully something can happen where this begins to overtake The Fame on the UK chart!

JADE - THAT'S SHOWBIZ BABY! • 1st Album
I really honestly feel like she can achieve a #2 debut with this off the back of her physical sales and the multi formats. I can imagine her going quite hard on the promo for week 1 too. It’s absolutely typical that Ed is releasing the same week but what can we do there. I think an act like JADE the support will be there more with a complete body of work like the album than it would be with singles though and she does have a dedicated fanbase and a lot of goodwill. I was looking what Addison sold last week and I think JADE may shift more physical sales than her but obviously streaming might not be as high!

Mayhem ● 7th album
I think we’re getting a Zombieboy push in August but nothing else till then! Hopefully the tour has some moments what go viral but how often do tours impact the UK charts until they’re actually in the UK (Taylor aside). A total waste on Bobby’s part I think! Streaming push and a lyric video for How Bad Do U Want Me could’ve really helped it out. It’s doing really well on radio in other territories like Australia but in the UK its not had anything as of yet! The Fame is now ahead of MAYHEM in the UK too! #69 this week. Next week it’ll at least match what ARTPOP spent in the top 100 too here in the UK.

Rihanna - US Number One Singles Survivor 2025 - Round 4
Keep votes coming and I’ll close this at the weekend possibly :)

Least favourite Lady Gaga 3rd single ● ROUND 1
G.U.Y with ease for me! I’ve always loved Joanne the song although the album version in its more raw form actually hits more. Looking at the tracks though this is actually hard! Some career bests and they’re all pretty much amongst the best tracks from their respective eras too.
-
eternal sunshine • 7th album
61 weeks now inside UK top 100! It’ll match sweetener if it’s at #100 or higher on Friday (and it should be with ease!). Can see it outlasting Sweetener by quite a few weeks tbf! Dangerous Woman is her longest runner by weeks inside the top 100 here in the UK, although thank u, next had more weeks at #1, top 10 and top 40 than any of her eras to date and My Everything currently leads on overall sales 😆. One thing about Ari is she’s had pretty consistent success since the My Everything era and even Yours Truly did alright over the years as she gained more exposure.
-
Mayhem ● 7th album
Hoping the actual sales are still at a similar level! Hoping this isn’t a sign of it being soon to exit the top 100 though 🫠

f - Lady Gaga General Discussion (Part 2)
It does feel frustrating. She’s been super busy and she’s actively promoted this era a lot too! I can see that she may have been too busy to film a music video but these days they don’t make a difference. Her team just need to put something on playlists and get a lyric video out there or push something to radio! The chart units are so tight that a few hundred extra sales could push her up about 15 positions on the chart! Insiders (if they’re to be trusted) did say June so I guess we wait! I guess her focus on this era so far after Coachella was on doing things for fans who’ve waited like a decade if not longer to see her, in a way she’s always fed the UK and she’s coming here in October too (prays her team somehow manage to get a “audience with” esque show filmed whilst she’s here tour - I think something like that could be great promotion.
-
Miley Cyrus - Something Beautiful
UK #76 for week 2!
-
MARINA - PRINCESS OF POWER
I’d also say that #7 is a good result for her. A shame the last era ruined her top 10 streak but this is definitely stronger than that was for me. Everybody Knows I’m Sad I think being my overall favourite.
