Wondering if Drake can dethrone Sam / Olivia with the album drop this coming Friday?or if it’s all down to the Ariana lead. I’ve actually always loved the song but didn’t at all expect it to be a one week number one never mind 10+ weeks! Still hoping Human Nature can be one of the Michael top 40 tracks at some point too!
  2. LoveGame is my actual least favourite but I’ve went for Bloody Mary tactically to save Applause. This has not went my way so far 😅
  3. Anyone seen the tour film yet from this era?! I may give it a watch. I think my show was one of the ones filmed as I went to Manchester to see her and the show was great. I still think this is her best solo album to date and amongst the best albums of the decade so far! also worth noting that this crossed the 100 weeks top 100 mark a few weeks ago so Billie’s first four projects have all spent at least 100 weeks on the UK Top 100 that’s crazy longevity! and I’m racking brains thinking of people who’ve done this with their first four projects. don’t smile at me -(247 weeks) WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP - WHERE DO WE GO? - 267 weeks (also charted this week) Happier Than Ever - 166 weeks HIT ME HARD AND SOFT - 103 weeks (so far)
  4. Not this out streaming tracks released a week ago 😅 Iconic smash!
  5. I hope Human Nature can become one of the charting Michael tracks! IIRC I don’t think it got a UK release during thrillers release did it so it’s never made the top 40 as of yet unless im thinking of something else?!
  6. It’s funny these rates looking back just how many of those cash in for charity esque covers we were subjected too what made their way to #1! Besides LadBaby in the 2020s what thankfully I think we’re now free of we seem to be free from things like that now from actually making the top spot! Again though nothing so far feels like a major loss!
  7. I love Mileys the climb and still listen regularly. Not heard Joes version for some time now (tbf every song so far is one I’ve not heard for absolutely ages). The JLS track happens to be one I don’t necessarily dislike because as terrible as it is there’s a genuine campness to it and it’s so of it’s time. I think even the fanbase weren’t major fans of the song and the 1-7 fall from #1 at the time was quite a steep drop from the top spot!
  8. This is the worst thing she’s ever put out for me ☠️ I’m torn on Charli these days as pre BRAT I always liked her (never stanned her) but I appreciated that she was pretty quirky and had something about her and was rooting for her to have that moment then BRAT gave her that but i personally preferred her material pre that era!
  9. #50 this week! Still staying strong inside the top 75 - 325 weeks on the chart overall for this now too!
  10. Spends another week at #36 this week with the album re-entering the chart! First time since So Good she’s managed a second week top 40 though so that’s something at least!
  11. 2 weeks until 300 weeks top 75 too! Eternally relevant smash album! Here for the 400 week mark incoming ❣️
  12. One of her tracks that stood the test of time quite well! Streaming giant and I think it’s aged pretty good too I wasn’t a fan back in 2016 and I’ll admit this but these days I like it a lot more! Another 3X platinum cert!
  13. Thanks for the responses to my query! I was thinking it was along those lines I had a look at the week celebration was in the charts but Man in the mirror was in the lower top 100 by then! The king and queen together again!
  14. Apologies if this has been covered but when was the last the singles chart top 40 contained both a Madonna track and Michael Jackson track?!
  15. Back inside the UK top 100 this week (at #98). 96th week on the top 100! We might reach the 100 weeks milestone with the tour and a new era upon us!
  16. Happy for Zara! Midnight Sun deserved a top ten position from the off possibly her best song for me! For a time it didn’t even look like it would even enter the top 100 here what a ride!
  17. We were just discussing if we were gonna get a lead! I’m glad that we are! Everything about this era has a little mystery so far like album title, single title, the photoshoot. I’m almost expecting her to break tradition here and give us a ballad lead?! Not long to go though! Ilya and Max Martin are the co-collabs on this with Ariana also on the lyrics and production side as always!
  18. Bal you beat me to it I just made this thread in the pop forum unaware you’d created this (if a mod can delete it😆). I’m still re-listening to his albums so I won’t vote just yet but I’m genuinely floored by how hit stacked and good his albums from Off The Wall onwards are! Off The Wall was like his debut in the sense of when he become the king of pop! Very excited to rehear my final selection of his albums and picking a favourite could actually be quite tricky!
  19. I Feel so Free is far more Confessions esque and much more Madonna I’d say too! I’d say I prefer that of the two. Bring your Love is fine as it is but I hope it’s not reflective of the album (would’ve fitted into Hard Candy or MDNA fine but under the confessions tag it doesn’t quite live up)
  20. Hoping for some mini playlist support what could push her to 100M again. Runway seems to be getting Shazam impact so hopefully that translates to streams.
  21. UK Midweeks #54 Die With A Smile is still ahead 😅 but happy to see that the film release has had some impact it was #84 on the chart update last week!

I’m quite happy The Essential is the one for the chart as far as streaming goes (if that’s the case!) as it does contain more material and it’s the one I’d listen too! What surprised me was how well the studio albums of Thriller and Bad are also doing (and Off The Wall too!).
  23. Happy to see Gaga at #1! What a year 2009 was for her and one of my favourite chart years for following the charts and for number ones! Meet me Halfway is my favourite Black Eyed Peas from their #1s of 2009 now although at the time the Leona stan in me was gutted she was blocked from another #1 a case of the X factor guest acts battling for the top spot! Leona could’ve done it had they performed on another show but we’ll never know?! Always enjoyed The Fear as well but it’s a bit of a fluke for me as far as Lily goes as there isn’t much else from her that does anything for me. Killing In The Name was a very different Christmas #1 I’ll give it that but not a track I’d opt to go for just for personal tastes more than anything. It was quite ironic how much X Factor helped to dominated singles #1s in Q4 but then the winner missed out on the Christmas #1 (I mean at least Joe got there In the end I remember that final live very well as I’m a South Shields boy and everywhere that was everywhere was live streaming that particular final and it was electric when Joe won… obviously Olly went onto much greater things as we’ll see In the coming years #1 rates)
  24. This is growing on me I must say. For what it is, I think it’s pretty catchy enough and the music video is great!
  25. This is my personal favourite Taylor album so a deserved record!
