I think it would have to heavily drop from here to miss top 40? Like Bebe Rexha for examples been hovering between #41-#50 for weeks now and isn’t this is way higher than that’s been on Spotify (plus there’s ACR on Spotify too right). I use Apple so that’s the chart I track more although I am in NYC so I’m using this thread to track everything 😆

#57 is a lot higher than what Hold my Hand got on UK Spotify?! I think there’s potential for this in terms of Tik Toks and viral ability?!

He’s secured his third #1 album here in the UK! And also the #1 in Ireland too!

I’m gonna potentially be optimistic here and I’ll say top 20?! I think it has viral potential and possibility to climb when we hear it in the context of the film. Top 40 would be great though!

Gaga is on this?! She opens the track and you can hear on the chorus but I think it does sound more like Gaga’s the feature on initial listens. I think within the context of the movie it’s something what could work (and a music video could elevate it). It’s pretty decent but I’m not like blown away?! Also Bruno Mars was involved with this track in terms of production?! I think I can potentially see this getting some TikTok edits though which is good?! I can’t call how it’s going to do as sometimes tracks stans don’t adore go onto become huge hits but this track feels very catered to the gays and theys 😅

Agree with Haus here that when it comes to pop music (and Gaga News in particular) The Sun are pretty accurate. They revealed info about MAYHEM Ball before it was announced and I’m sure they also spoke of The Dead Dance before that was confirmed too (and i remember as well they revealed news about the Chromatica Ball shows where they eventually got rescheduled for the shows what went ahead! Exciting. I think an EP and a collabs EP is actually kinda genius we know on stan twitter she get dragged for collabs but she’s just in demand and seemingly manages to get pretty much all her collab singles to be a hit which is what other artists who have collabed more have failed to do. Also love that it’s pointing towards it being female artists (and besides the Madonna rumour) artists who are at earlier stages of their career! Excited and hyped as always!

I think Shape of a Woman exists (and was recorded first…) but it seems like this track is to be the one that’s getting the push?!

Unsure on this but now the rumour seems to be that she’s releasing a Greatest Hits type album of 28 tracks to streaming (this would be like The Weeknds The Highlights and would give her so many extra weeks on the chart if so… 😆) But I’m equally seeing the same rumours for AG8 being a thing?! We definitely know Ariana works fast like thank u, next and eternal sunshine the albums were both recorded within quite a fast time frame right?! I’m so hyped for whatever is to come though so bring it on!

It has a real anthem feel to it! He’s so underrated in a sense but I love his voice and his way of emoting the lyrics in his music and I don’t normally like his style but maybe he’s my exception 😅

She really does work so fast! I’m very much here for new Ariana music though! (And this makes that setlist even harder to predict now unless she just gags us with a 4 hour show to fit her hits in too 😅)

Happy anniversary to two definitive albums of the 00s! I actually feel inclined to listen to her debut with fresh ears because I always claim it’s not for me but I adore Most Girls and There You Go. I’m not Dead is probably the most important album of her career though and the album what gave her the icon status and cemented her in the A List category! I feel like she went into that era all guns blazing and it just paid off.

A week on and I feel like this is one of those albums what people are either going to fully appreciate or not. It’s something what only really works as an album when you hear it in order as a whole album as just hearing a handful of tracks or playing the album on shuffle you don’t get what she’s trying to do. I’m in the category of I personally love this and get what she’s doing but I equally see why some people aren’t keen. Lifeboat, I Know You’re Hurting and Goodbye Henry are my absolute standouts but nothing bar FIN doesn’t have replay value.

My favourite album from him so far and I’d say the top male album of the year so far too. A really great listen. Turnstile was probably my top highlight but I really liked this and hope it can be another #1 album for him on our charts.

Smash! Didn’t actually realise this was streaming as well as it is but It’s my favourite track from her debut album and I always preferred it to Pon De Replay.

#10 is such a good result when I seen the Wednesday midweeks i thought she was going to end up with another #11! Happy for her! Pretty wild it’s taken her like two decades to finally get that overdue top 10 but the signings paid off it seems!

I absolutely love this! I fully need this to smash on our charts although it has been quite the sleeper hit! Hope it sticks around a good while yet ❣️

Her first long album title! I’m ready to see where she goes from here though. Her first two albums have had absolutely insane longevity on our charts so I’m expecting big things here.

This album really has so much to it that I’m still kind of processing it! I will aim to post a review but there’s still so much to unpack and I’m discovering new things on repeated listens! What I will say is I’m so glad that RAYE is where she is. I have to say I almost underestimated what she was capable of when she was more of a features artist but she’s one hell of a talent and I just wish she was able to do all this sooner (although on the flip side her struggles and what she’s experienced in the industry have given her a fire what may have led to her writing and crafting even better..). Hoping this does give her that albums #1!

Official charts have posted that she’s #4!!! In the midweeks. Top 10 potentially likely?!?! 🫨 Is there more signings / UK promo this week to help keep her there?

Robyn’s one of those artists where you kind of know what to expect before going onto the whole project but what she does she really does well and she excels at it. There’s only track I’m not really keen on is the title track but everything else I think is like what she does well. I don’t think it’s a career highlight but it’s a nice concise album and one of those albums where a short album is nice enough and I don’t necessarily want more. I hope she can get herself a top 10 album here with the signings she’s had.

RAYE for #1 ❣️ an absolute wild ride of an album and so much to take in! I hope she has great sales too hard to really predict but I think she’s grown a solid fanbase since her debut and I’ve seen a lot of hype for this + streams look promising (I think 50k is doable). Robyn’s been overdue a top 10 album for years so I’d love to see her finally get one especially this stage into her career too! I hope Loreen at least charts top 100 too.
