  1. The news was inevitable. As has been said, it may be a blessing in disguise for the show to have a breather for a year. Plus with Caroline's death I think now is probably the most appropriate time to hold off for a while. I actually think the show could benefit in the long term once it's gone long enough for viewers to miss it.

    I agree with this.

Hopefully in 2021 they’ll scrap winter series and just have summer series so it’ll be an almost 18 month break when it returns

  2. Love her debut album

Borderline is also my favourite but this is such a fun pleasant album!

I really wish I was alive during Madonna’s early albums tbh so I could witness her impact through the 80s.

But even in her debut era you can she’s special and a true force!

Just started s2 of this and I love it.

Such a funny show! Anyone else a fan.

(Summary of what the show is about without spoilers of plots etc. )

Brassic follows the lives of Vinnie and his five friends as they live their lives in the fictional northern English town of Hawley. The working class group commit various crimes to keep money in their pockets, but as they get older some of them start to wonder if there's more to life away from the town

It’s sort of like Shameless for those who watched that. I’m watching on Sky as a box set but seen it’s also on NOW TV.

  4. With 35 weeks in the UK top 40 this has now spent longer in the top 40 than what Reputation did!

Eras so far in order of weeks spent in top 40 albums.

    0 - Taylor Swift (peaked at #81)

    3 - Speak Now

    17 - Fearless

    34 - Reputation

    35 (so far) Lover

    44 - Red

    88 - 1989

Lover i feel could potentially become her second longest runner and could overtake Red but 1989 is way ahead unsurprisingly! Such a shame Glasto is cancelled this year though because she could’ve challenged for a repeak at #1 following her slot or at the least returned to the top 10 and seen some of her other albums get huge boosts too.

  5. Both Applause and You And I are favourites of mine. I always really liked Applause and was a bit sad at the time that a lot of people thought it was her worst song / a comedown I think it’s pure Gaga and something only she could’ve done and the VMA performance and music video are so good as well!

You and I is stunning as well. Her best Born This Way visual and such a lush song. Again like I said about The Queen the other day this sort of paved the way for the sound she’d eventually go down later in her career with Joanne / ASIB. And I kinda feel it’s not as appreciated because it’s on a pure pop album and it may have fared better in the UK had it been on a later era it’s the sort of thing I can imagine Ally singing to Jack obv with some lyric changes in places. I love it though.

Highway Unicorn is another fave

Perfect Illusion however is one I kinda really like but I really don’t think it ever should’ve been a single full stop let alone a lead single. There’s better on Joanne for sure! I love how manic it is though but with Perfect Illusion I do kinda see why some people weren’t keen on it and I do get what you meant as well Jade by the video! It can make your eyes a bit sore when you watch it late at night

I’m happy Stupid Love has featured kinda funny seeing three leads feature rather closely together! Stupid Love to me lyrically I feel fits The Fame era yet production wise is sort of like a better ARTPOP era track. I like the production and I think whilst it’s simple it was a good way for her to comeback and get another top 5 hit without a featured artist and to sort of play safe too and comeback with something what was just pure pop and what wouldn’t be classed as polarising the way the last leads of her solo albums were. She often has better follow ups though (like Poker Face, Edge of Glory, Million Reasons) so I feel something unheard yet may end up overtaking Stupid Love the next time you do a list.

  6. Paper Gangsta is one of my favourite non singles from The Fame alongside... Summerboy  so I definitely am glad to see that feature in your list.

I need to re read the rest from when I last commented to go into some more detail

    Results so far.

Music Of The Sun was eliminated in round 1 with 35% of the vote (7/20 votes)

Poor Music Of The Sun, her debut era out first again! For me it actually wasn’t her worst cover overall but wasn’t too shocked to see it leave first either.

A Girl Like Me was eliminated in round 2 50% of the vote (8/16 votes). Very surprising decision for me as it’s not amongst her worst artworks at all!

Round 3 seen TTT (standard eliminated) with 33.33% of votes (4/12 votes). My favourite of the two covers and the one I feel fitted they albums theme better.

Round 4 seen Unapologetic eliminated with 35.71% of votes (5/14 votes). I seen this one coming. I like the image but there’s slightly too much font going on and it should’ve really just had the cover on rather than all that font going on! I’d have eliminated this one before all the ones what are out so far!

TTT deluxe is the image on its own.

Please vote for your least favourite artwork of what’s remaining!

Round 5 is now open. Remember purely based on artwork alone!

    Closing Monday at 11:59 pm.

(Cannabis leaf is not an album cover!)

TTT deluxe is the image on its own.

    Rihanna - SOS

    Rita Ora - Your Song

Little Mix just missed out there! A really strong choice of lead singles there.

  9. 181 weeks in the UK top 100 for this after its return today at #98

We’ve now managed to get this to chart for 6 weeks (non consecutive) so far in 2020!

I wonder how high we can get this on Chromaticas release week. Realistically speaking I think we can push for a top 75 return that week.
