  1. Loud is definitely my favourite as an album from those two! Good Girl Gone Bad did have an iconic set of singles though but Louds definitely the stronger as a whole album.
  2. I just hope it remains top ten even if it’s at #10! Next week should perhaps see a climb maybes? I think Billie goes to ACR next week (providing she does decline this week) and I think Oasis impact will die down from around Wednesday onwards too. I’m definitely thankful for the three track rule here! I still think it could reach a new peak at some point though the support is still strong across all platforms it’s showing signs of being a real HIT and not just a high charting off major names alone what drops sharply after initial interest.
  3. Every snippet I’m hearing is just not filling me with much hope of me enjoying this era. It’s quite frustrating because she has had instances in the past where she’s struck gold but there’s just a distinct lack of growth for me to really invest in her. I’ve mentioned this previously but during the mid to late 00s we really struck lucky with the pop females who were up and coming / those who were the main females at the time and when you compare her to likes of say Taylor or Gaga who I’d say were her main contemporaries there’s just no comparison to the versatility and artistry and how theyve adapted and switched genres etc, like the likes of Miley too and Beyoncé have also had that continual freshen up of their sounds (and Rihanna always did this too when she was more active). Katy’s really just stuck and at a point in her life where she’s now a mother this could’ve been a real moment artistically (I mean I wasn’t expecting a Ray of Light) but even as someone who’s not necessarily a major fan of hers I did expect Katy to at least provide a catchy enough chorus but what we’ve had haven’t even had that.
  4. Nice increase this week! Hopefully another week in the top ten incoming. Hopefully Oasis slightly die down across the week and she can overtake some of their tracks.
  5. I’m still thinking we may get top 5 in the UK at some point (when do Billie and Chappell move to ACR hopefully that’s soon as they’ve both been monster hits now). Happy to see it remain inside the top ten though  We should see Apple increases in the UK now hopefully too!
  6. Track 1 now on Apple Musics Todays Hits playlist and the cover (although the cigarette is edited out the image) Hopefully this has enough impact to see a rise on there! UK wise She’s currently at #20 but there’s five Sabrina tracks ahead and 6 Oasis tracks.
  7. It’s hated by the stans in general but i genuinely feel like Jewels N Drugs isn’t that bad but I don’t think she’d ever record anything like it again these days. It probably would’ve had better success than GUY had it gotten a push.
  8. So happy with those worldwide numbers! Really hope the UK can see a rise though but obviously we’ve had a Sabrina takeover and now Oasis! But I’m still happy with the numbers and I still feel it could be still to peak here  A definite HIT though! And this is just with the one version now as well. I wonder if at some point if it looks close for US #1 which could happen we might get some more versions / a live version on streaming or some form of remixes. Definitely here for a VMAs slot too which if uploaded to YouTube could help streams too.

  10. Hopefully it can end up going top 5 at some point in the UK. Get that promo or push from somewhere  A non mover at #7 would still be nice enough though. I can see it sticking around in the top ten for the next few weeks at least though so it’s done pretty well. Sabrina’s third charting track this week may be the decider of if it can perhaps manage #6 this week or not?
  11. I think we might get some collaborations and singles not tied to a campaign but just like odd releases here and there. I’m less sure of a full album though and I wouldn’t at all blame her if she didn’t want to do another full release again
  12. I think from a charts point of view this has perhaps been my favourite year since 2020. (It kind of helps I guess as well that female solo acts have done really well this year so far and albums wise when looking at studio albums what have come out this year the females are really smashing here). Billie has my album of the year so far
  13. I do think with Die With A Smile perhaps doing bigger numbers than what may have been anticipated they could be holding back. Maybe we could get lead single this year? But maybe dropping new music early January could be what’s best. It’s looking promising that the bulk of the album is done (or maybe even the whole thing?!). With Joker also having music attached though I do think we’re getting that first. The UKs 3 track rule to be lifted just for Gaga x
  14. The chart stan in me really wants Die With A Smile and Joker to have their moments first. They’re both gonna be big projects and Die With A Smile is smashing on streams right now that I don’t know if a new release would be wise now let that fully take off have its moment, get the Joker era underway let that get its promo and flowers and then drop the album is my hope. I like the way she’s teasing us though! We are almost there :cheer:
  15. What are we thinking for this album re first week chart position?! Surely she’s at least looking at top ten if not top 5 for week one right?
  16. Pop up stores for this as well in some major cities?! Wonder how much sales that will help the track pick up? Anyone in any of the locations have any idea? @1827023749234995658
  17. Interesting re this week! 01 49,017 Chase & Status & Stormzy - BACKBONE [1,880 downloads, 47,137 streaming] 02 43,007 Chappell Roan - Good Luck, Babe! 03 41,488 Billie Eilish - BIRDS OF A FEATHER 04 31,799 Charli xcx & Billie Eilish - Guess 05 29,561 BL3SS & CamrinWatsin feat. bbyclose - Kisses 06 28,600 Dasha - Austin (Boots Stop Workin') 07 27,333 Lady Gaga & Bruno Mars - Die With a Smile [997 CDs] 08 22,949 Jordan Adetunji - KEHLANI So without CDs they’d have still comfortably been at #7. Hopefully there’s more CDs to come / more of a push though as we were actually so close to #4! The streaming sales will hopefully pick up more next week though.
  18. I wonder how far away from 3x plat Rated R is. I know Unapologetic has its haters on here but I’ve always liked it  to me at least it was a step up from Talk that Talk.
  19. Wooo!! Getting to my hotel to see they managed top 10 :cheer: UK Spotify really jumped up on Thursday which is typical for chart purposes but expecting a rise next week. But yes at her managing her 15th top ten track over here.
  20. So for me it’s showing as #6 in London #10 in Manchester #12 in Birmingham #5 in Liverpool #7 in Glasgow Hopefully one day Apple give us some figures so we can work out how close it is! But yeah it’s confusing looking at its position on the main UK chart when it’s higher in what I presume are major cities / most streamed cities in the UK?
  21. The UK Apple chart is an odd one as it shows charts of individual cities within the UK and it’s higher than #14 in each of those cities  I still think it’s due to peak here though and it’ll eventually get into that top 10 on both Apple and Spotify.
  22. UK come on!!! At least it’s consistently rising though. Should be looking at another top 10 tomorrow! I’ll be frantically checking its debut position between catching flights to Munich for Adele.
  23. Hard to tell re the VMAs it’s not quite as impactful as it was in the 00s / 10s where we would see an impact. It’s not quite as seen as iconic as previous years though. I can’t really remember the last major iconic performance (besides Gaga in 2020). It also depends on the performance too. With her getting the vanguard if she’s doing a career esque performance then the Teenage Dream hits might takeaway from the actual new era she’s promoting. This era does just feel a bit like it’s gonna be a struggle to get anything to take off. The music itself is just not strong (her team as well haven’t been great here either right?) not very much streaming pushes here. What was the Smile era like on streams was that also similar as I don’t necessarily closely follow Katy.

U2 were one I really should’ve included in hindsight but somehow missed them! It’s funny when I do these lists I always seem to miss pretty big acts off and then remember when the results come in.
  25. Christmas Tree and 3 Way were quite easy picks here. The third pick I hesitated slightly towards but went for Sweet Sounds of Heaven.
