Not sure re physicals yet as I don’t think mines shipped. Definitely downloads impact though. I really think this could climb as the week goes on though so I don’t think an official top 10 placing is that much of a reach (although I can see it being a climber. Has any other UK posters here had any form of shipping notification about the single? Hopefully they get it sorted for this week if top ten looks achievable.

An interesting point re Gaga’s UK number ones is that only Rain On Me actually debuted there! Even in the sales era she was the sort who used to tend to climb as we had many midweek releases (and I don’t think she ever did a held back release here even then it was always pretty much on air on sale for her here).

From Monday onwards I think the UK will wake up a little and we’ll see some increases here. The actual drop wasn’t too bad though. I think this may be quite the hit though, I wouldn’t be surprised if it climbed after week one in terms of official chart positions.

Sweetener :heart: :heart: Always had a real love for this. I still think it’s my favourite from her as a whole album (definitely her best visually and singles wise though). A real moment for her though.

My worry about LG7 coming this year is that Joker would completely dominate the promotion and would get the attention over the album. The general public will likely be a lot more aware that Joker is coming as opposed to the album (obviously the hype is there for the album but Joker is hotly anticipated). I’d much rather wait until 2025 if it means a full campaign or more of a promotional push. Joker is bound to be huge so let that have its moment then get the album out there once her profiles even further raised / boosted.

Hold my Hand wasn’t supported very well at all on Spotify. I think Apple and downloads boosted it better but its Spotify performance wasn’t that great. I don’t think it had much if any playlist push

Where did Hold my Hand peak at on streaming in the UK just to get a compare? Hold my Hand peaked around a month after its release UK wise which I think timed with film release right?

I can really see this Gaga / Bruno track doing well in the long run. Streaming wise based on their own debuts and not looking into 2024 as a whole I think it’s done well enough. Bruno’s biggest debut and Gaga’s second biggest. I think the general public will be kinda here for this though (I may be a Gaga stan but I can definitely see this taking off once it reaches a wider audience). Let’s see what happens post debut but I’m not too worried about those debut numbers when I look at it from her debuts and not the market as a whole.

I think that this may well climb / grow however even if we did think more regarding the first day. We still have YouTube views and downloads and the physical CD to help out as well. I feel like from Monday onwards though we might get some good updates though and from that point it may stabilise / climb. (For the UK too we also missed some hours which may well have been wheen most will have been asleep but still!)

I also think the album itself would’ve done better (Million Reasons might’ve become a UK top 10 as well as that actually did really well despite its misleading peak). However with Joanne I think even in 2016 the album would’ve done a lot better had we got a different lead single!

The versatility that she is still kinda blows my mind when I think about her releases. I’m so glad that 14 year old me seen something in the Just Dance girlie who would go onto become my number one person in entertainment. I think even then I kinda just seen something that I couldn’t particularly describe but whatever IT is she has IT.

Duas album campaigns prior to this were both long lasting and had re releases and collaborations tagged onto the albums on streaming. I feel this could still get that or we might get a whole new album sooner this time around. DL1 jumped ahead of this in the UK this week. I do still think as far as albums go this has been a success though and I don’t think the era is done just yet. I think we’ll get perhaps one more video / single from the standard version of the album before we get something as of yet unconnected to the campaign.

Interesting post! ARTPOPs performance was perhaps the beginning of the Gaga Revamp and the introduction of the more “Lady” side of her persona I’d say. She’s definitely lucky that she’s a vocalist and a musician and versatile enough to go down a new avenue as we’ve seen with other females that once they have that underperformance it can be hard to come back from especially when it’s as ARTPOP was. But yeah I do think she’s now won a new audience over and gained the general public’s respect as a performer and vocalist. There’s still a lot to come from her still which all will appeal to different audiences with Joker coming and LG7. I can definitely see the general public lapping this up though, it definitely has that kind of sound to it. Intrigued to look at the streaming numbers of this!

I really like it!! Their voices do sound great together as well. About to now watch the live performance they did! Really like the music video and the energy they have as well. The styling does kind of match the song now. And it’s not necessarily as ballad esque as I was perhaps led to believe, it actually wouldn’t have sounded too out of place on a Star is Born (which isn’t a bad thing for the general public).

Just from her store the release date says August 16th but I don’t know re shipping date. Going off Twitter however some people have had their orders shipped but that may be US fans! I’m factoring in the Bruno stans here though as I think he does have a solid following himself and the CD can be purchased on his store as well as hers and downloads might do well for this as well as they’re both solid acts with that kind of actual physical sales presence as they both debuted in the pre streams era.

I’m thinking a bit higher than that! I don’t wanna go too bold here but I’m genuinely not ruling out top 10! Physical CDs will really help here (and would’ve really helped Hold my Hand too) and it looks like this has a bit better streaming support as of now but the Bruno addition as well I think will really help and I think radio play will be strong as well. I can genuinely see a top 10 here though!

I feel like the general public might kinda lap this up but the stans (Gaga stans) might be sort of on the fence. Not long to go though! And just here to enjoy a whole new Gaga release (however I will say this must be kinda special because besides The Cure it’s pretty rare for Gaga to release something that’s not tied to a project of sorts) so she must’ve been pretty invested in this and I guess Bruno too must’ve been invested in this to delay his own lead single for his era for this. I think we can assume that there’s going to be a big push for this too.

She was method acting her character for the video I think! So ready for some whole new Gaga music though. Single and Video coming on release day is quite a good move. So this is just a collaboration but not tied to either of their projects (and not Joker related)?
