  1. A little bump on this for more votes (and to convince people to not choose Rated R  )
  2. @1814060428709773799 I know it’s the daily mail of all sources but this is one time they kind of write something that’s kind of valid here. Interesting read.
  3. Glory Days in at #24 on this list with Get Weird at #34 @1814295151218487354 Glory Days really had one of the best album campaigns of the 2010s decade when I think back (UK wise at least).
  4. Anyone who’s from Shields will love the Colmans Fish and Chips promo right at the start  she’s still so proud of her hometown which is lovely to see (at least one member is -_- ). The South Shields FC scarf too. Love the video though, a bit bonkers but very her. I did love how it looked like past Jade was singing the song as well really clever editing. This is such a strong whole package. It seems Jades hit the clearest idea of who she is as Jade. I’ll also watch later to see if I can divulge things and work out certain meanings but this is like a genuinely very strong, smart debut from her.
  5. She’s delivered!!! I knew she would but yeah this is by far the best solo release so far. It’s full of personality and the track itself is genuinely strong. The structure and the verses are kind of Girls Aloud esque (like how you’d think they’d sound in 2024 almost) and it kind of sounds nostalgic in its sound but not in a way where it sounds dated. Genius move to project this on Angel of The North (I love how she’s still so proud / happy to be from the North East she’s really never forgetten her roots and being from the same town as her I can say the support for her in South Shields is pretty huge she’s thought of so fondly here). I can honestly say now I won’t be surprised if this becomes the best peaking solo LM release as well (and I’m counting Boyz here as well)

Any idea on sales for this album yet? @1813521297139175691 Appears at #68 on this list of the streaming era so far but Beauty Behind The Madness is still just ahead as that’s at #67. I guess soon this will overtake to be his best selling studio album (The Highlights) is also on there at #30. This is his studio album what seems to get the best catalogue streams and its chart run has been rather impressive.
  7. There’s also an albums list. Any idea on where the sales period is for #100? @1813521297139175691
  8. Jordanlee1402 posted a post in a topic in P!nk's P!nk
No figures here so unsure what the sales cut off here is BUT P!nk has charted two albums on this list (this is from when streaming took over the charts) Greatest Hits So Far is at #98 Beautiful Trauma is at #100 @1813521297139175691
  9. This clip resurfacing as well. @1689654213461323776 I do genuinely feel in some way she perhaps really felt like this was going to be quite the big comeback for her though and I imagine at the minute she’s feeling a little shocked / taken a back by the backlash she’s received. I almost want some sort of interview where she mentions the process and mentions why she worked with who she’s worked with. Her and her team must be having or about to have some pretty major talks though on how the roll out is going to go.
  10. How are we expecting the rest of this era to go? Is there a way she can turn things around? If so how do people feel she can approach this. I’ve been thinking re this album today and what a combination of what not to do in the lead up to a release that’s ended up happening. Supposedly she’s said that the album is in three parts. @1813583410884911555 This kind of makes me think of a post I’d made at the weekend though about the lack of vision / growth that she seems to have had. It all feels quite stuck. I wish she’d went down a new lane and done something exciting / reinvented. Ill reserve judgement of the rest of the album until I hear it but I don’t think this fills me with a lot of hope and I was willing to get on board if the music was worthy of that. (Also a bit early for this but how are people expecting this to do in terms of its chart life)
  11. Rated R is my favourite of hers  it did win last time around but could be a different result here. I’ve went for Good Girl Gone Bad here which was definitely a major step up from her first two albums but I think Rated R and Loud are both way above it as a whole album listen.
  12. Hello all in the Rihanna forum. We’re now at the business end of the survivor for 2024. 3 albums remain! And all released during an imperial phase within the career of our Ri Ri. Most recent album, ANTI exits in fourth place this time around. An Album what’s amongst the longest charting ever over in the states and was her first ever release with quite the gap between that and the previous album, I have to say this is one of the biggest growers of an album for me. I now listen to this regularly as a whole but it did take a while for it to really click into place. UK wise its performance felt more muted at the time a #7 debut and peak was a bit of a crash following three huge #1s in a row but again it did manage strong longevity and streaming figures. Having said that I did expect this to make the top 3 here the Good Girl Gone Bad love has surprised a little. We now have 3 albums left! As always just choose your least favourite of the three and then we’ll have our finalists. Results so far 8th Place: Round 1: Music of The Sun (15/21 votes) 7th Place: Round 2: A Girl Like Me (12/19 votes) 6th Place: Round 3: Unapologetic (8/17 votes) 5th Place: Round 4 Talk that Talk (7/15 votes) 4th Place: Round 5: ANTI (8/17 votes)
  13. Still easily within her overall top 5 for me and I don’t think she’s ever released a stronger music video since.
  14. For chart purposes I am quite relieved we didn’t secure the win as I can’t bare that song or at least that version of it. It’s very much in need of an update
  15. Dr Luke’s involvement is definitely a big talking point but I don’t think it’s like a common knowledge thing unless you follow forums like this or chart accounts / music stats accounts on social media so your average person who’s just a music listener with a streaming account or who’s got the radio on at home or when driving to work etc will have just heard this as being a new single from Katy Perry and i honestly think the song itself is just too stale and too dated for it to have been a hit regardless of who’d produced it. Another thing here though is surely her team would’ve advised in some way against this. Even someone who doesn’t follow the charts could’ve seen this video and song combination was a pretty poor idea. I genuinely can’t work out if Katy herself has just pretty much dictated behind the scenes what’s going on (I mean I do think she’s wanted bigger commercial success this time around and tried to go out and chase a big hit) but it’s not really worked here and I don’t think she’s anywhere near as clued up as she was a decade ago with the choices that she’s making but are her team as clueless as her here? They must’ve checked socials prior to this and seen for weeks and weeks now that there wasn’t an awful lot of positivity regarding that song and his work. Very interested to now see what happens with the rest of the campaign and if anything can be salvaged here but I think she’s thrown away quite a chunk of goodwill here which might be tricky to get back. Katy always had a pretty big casual fanbase back at her peak that’s who gave her the success that she’s had but with a sound like this now in 2024 I don’t think many will be as interested.
  16. Out of interest where did Daises enter at on Spotify? I guess that’s her best release to compare this too as Never Really Over although featured on smile came out over a year before its eventual release.
  17. Eminem’s longevity has to be admired in a sense. He pretty much always manages smashes and a #1 with almost every era of his.
  18. The Dr Luke situation as well was always going to be questioned more with Katy because of how high her profile is and just because of the way like others have said she has the star power and influence to pick and choose who she works with. I don’t imagine she’s short of offers but I feel like she’s kind of sold herself short here and tried to chase a big hit rather than making something what has genuine impact. Acts like Kim for instance who work with Luke just don’t sell stories or create click bait the way Katy does she’s a household name and amongst the hit makers of the millennium. A side note and I know not everything has to be a statement or show some kind of huge leap sometimes things can just be fun but it feels like that’s almost only what Katy can do successfully. Compared to her peers she really does lack that growth artistically and hasn’t ever really made that transition successfully in a way a lot of her peers have and for someone 39 and who’s been in the industry for quite a while now her debut album is soon to be 16 this just feels quite flat and not like a step forward. I do think there could be better tracks on the album but I feel like this is kind of the single most crucial to the campaign.
  19. Agree so much on evermore. It’s such a gorgeous album. I think if it had dropped say a year or so later it could’ve been more appreciated (I mean it’s managed brilliant chart longevity but it’s debut felt sparse by her standards) but it has some of my favourite ever Taylor tracks on there. Your ranking is the closest to mine so we obviously appreciate similar aspects of Taylor
  20. This is hard and my rankings within the middle often change but here goes Clear top 2 here. Gorgeous writing here and some great vocal moments 1. folklore 2. evermore All great albums as a whole 3. 1989 (pop perfection) 4. Red 5. Tortured Poets (underrated by the fans I think but some genuine career highs here and the Anthology in parts eclipsing the main album. In general this is the most like folklore and evermore so I think that’s why I rate this high and may have ranked higher but 31 tracks is excessive) 6. reputation (this has really really grown) Some great moments 7. Speak Now 8. Midnights (some great moments but downweigted by some poorer moments. The more sombre / folklore esque tracks I love but the poppier moments such as Karma I’m less sold on. ) 9. Fearless Not bad but she can do better 10. Lover (easily my least favourite of her pop albums but some great moments on here but it’s kinda downweighted by the likes of London Boy) also some poor choices of singles. I’ve always hated You Need to Calm Down but I will stand by ME being harmless fun. 11. Taylor Swift - where it all began but she only got better 1989 aside I tend to prefer her when she’s less in your face pop and she goes down the more introspective route. That’s where she kinda shines. I’d love a new country album as a whole new studio album with her developed writing
  21. Amongst female groups Is this now a record amongst studio albums? Pretty impressive stuff there that they’ve managed this
  22. To my ears at least there doesn’t seem to be much difference in that insta snippet what some stans swore blind wasn’t the real song to the actual official version. Wasn’t there also some rumour of it sampling something as well (or was that another track on the album they were referring too). Meh it’s alright. She’s capable of better but I think both the song and video feel dated. The video itself feels like there was more money thrown at it than what she’s had for a good few years definitely more than the whole Smile era but this just doesn’t scream major comeback hit to me.
  23. I voted top 20 on both options here but now I’m having second thoughts. I’ll stick with that prediction but I feel like she’s likely going to be more focused on the US charts where I think the numbers will be a bit stronger. I believe she does have physicals for the UK though which should help her for whenever it is they ship.
  24. Bumping this. Keep votes coming!
  25. Thank you for sorting this! Very happy to be back
