    Michelle was the only one tongiht who *really* impressed me, I thought most people were a bit below what they're capable of. Alex was great too but I think they overmarked due having Kevin learn it last minute. She was a bit laboured, you could see her really thinking about the next move at all times and that affected the flow and the way it looked for me.

     

    Karim's Paso I thought was quite bad, technically yes good but I can't stand how he puts in all the spins and twists and stuff like that, just because he can do them doesn't mean it needs to be done every routine. It just doesn't fit in a Paso and that shows in his score, sometimes it embellishes the routine but other times it takes away from the feel and technique.

     

    Mike was absolutely terrible and I thought even the 6s were really pushing it. When you look at Craig giving that a point higher than Emma Barton's Tango!!

     

     

    What the actual f*** at that spoiler.... She had so much more to give and whilst she did have the worse score, they totally overmarked Mike to a ridiculous degree so really it should have been the opposite.

     

    Emma Barton is often underrmarked tbh.

     

    She deserves better in general tbh although I guess out of everyone she has the biggest commitment outside of strictly so she probably is the least rehearsed contestant. With Michelle drag race has already been filmed in full hasn’t it? Asides from Mike and Karim who have day jobs on BBC Strictly is everyone else’s main project currently isn’t it.

    Motsi and Bruno saved Catherine, Craig and Head Disgrace Shirley saved Mike - I mean WTF

     

     

    So the first time this series there’s been a difference of opinion between the judges.

     

    I always wish when it’s 2-2 it should go to who won the public vote rather than what one judge thinks but meh.

     

    Catherine just had a naff night tonight. I was just about to say I expected she may have done better on the public vote yet someone on DS stated she could’ve actually come second and still been in the dance off.

     

    It’s obv her on screen sisters cursing her they should’ve stayed away 😭😭.

     

    Gah I’ll really miss Catherine she had so much more to give.

     

    Alex is the journey female of the series now though.

    I usually love Halloween week but tonight was very blah.

     

    Strange song choices and dances what didnt match at all to the music.

     

    Probably the weakest week so far for me.

     

    I did however give all my votes to Catherine tonight she really needs them so I hope she manages to avoid the dance off.

     

    But I feel tonight’s dance off could be unpredictable I’m expecting a bit of a surprise.

    Im not surprised Olivia was bottom 3 she doesn’t have a large profile and whilst V5 aren’t too known either here I’m guessing they have a social media presence what’s stronger than what Olivias was.

     

    She also seemed very very shocked as well to leave. Almost like she imagined she was going to do a lot better.

     

    Had they actually sang again it may have been different but I think what Simon said was sort of true like... the GBP probably would rather watch Martin Bashir sing again.

     

    Megan and Victoria were the best tonight though.

     

    I also feel everyone who got a chair would’ve probably made it through on the public vote tbh.

     

    Ricki deserved to go as well but I kinda thought Kevin might’ve been the other person in the bottom 3 rather than Martin.

    I really enjoyed my show at Newcastle.

     

    It was really well put together and they did some really good routines.

     

    I was also definitely impressed with the vocals particularly on the slower numbers on the setlist. Secret Love Song was amazing, they also had some pretty fire outfits. Overall such a good night.

     

    Only real miss on the setlist for me was DNA and I do wish we got Black Magic in full as it is among their signature songs but the mix of old and new was really great.

    To think I wasn’t even born when that episode aired but I still remember it from watching clips back!

     

     

    As for Janine returning I’d be here for it. Also if she’s bringing down the slaters is there a chance that could be one of the scenes Lacey filmed just after she gave birth. I remember reading something saying she filmed something and then went back on maternity leave. I think Stacey is the main slater what Janine would have issues with.

     

    Also.. latest nights episode definitely seemed to confirm to me we are getting an eating disorder storyline with Honey.

    I feel for the fans for it being post poned to then cancelled.

     

    But if they really are recording then that’s pretty good news.

     

    Really hope they come back with a smash!!

    I’m getting slight Madonna vibes.

     

    That clip sounds like part of God Control after the choir opening.

     

    In terms of sound though it’ll probably be more like a Confessions era.

     

    Really like the sound of it though. I know she had so much potential / a star quality esque feel about her

    Series 5 was a definite improvement on Series 4 in my opinion.

     

    It was a more enjoyable watch when there wasn’t an obvious winner.

     

    But I still think S2 was the best.

     

    As the shows got more popular it’s a bit more PC / Tame I’d say.

     

    Excited for a new one but idk if two series a year may be a bit too much.

     

    I think it should just air once a year personally.

    I gave this a full listen today and so much potential on here.

     

    Strip, Wasbai, Monster In Me, The Cure and American Boy are all fire and Motivate Me, More Than Words and Notice all sounded really good today too.

     

    Not pushing The Cure as a winter single was a big mistake imo. It would’ve really pushed album sales even further in Q4 and into Q1 2020.

     

    Think About Us shouldn’t have been a single as good as it is.

     

    The Cure and Wasabi should’ve been the post album singies in my opinion.

     

    Wasabi had potential as being the Power of LM5.

     

    It doesn’t have the high highs of Glory Days but I’d say its a lot more consistent throughout and given it’s an 18 track album it didn’t really drag on or feel like it was a chore to listen too.

     

    The only real dud on the album for me is actually Woman Like Me :lol:

    I feel like it’s Mike or Chris going this week.

     

    There’s a chance Mike could get a boost from being in dance off last week though.

     

    Can see Alex continuing her streak though with that dance.

     

    Wonder what the running order will be.

     

    Catherine and Chris’s tracks feel very opening routine like as they’re the biggest party starter like tracks on there.

     

    Kelvin opening last week should mean he’s on towards the end this week.

     

     

    I’d say Jonny has the best shot to win the whole thing tbh.

     

    Vinnie I could see reaching third perhaps.

     

    Megan will probably finish top 5 too but I can’t see her winning :(

     

    Victoria will be the what we call shock exit.

    I think Megan probably has the best chance of anyone to do well out of this tbh, maybe just in a Radio 2 esque album kind of way but still. That's better than you'd get off the main show in most cases :lol: I think a good bunch of them have commercial potential and whilst the show isn't the juggernaut it once was, and I don't expect they will find a star on the level of Little Mix, 1D or Leona (I mean Dalton hasn't even RELEASED yet), I can't see why it's impossible that they will do anything. Just two years ago Rak-Su got a big hit with Dimelo off the back of the show, and I know Megan had some tantrums on CBB but people have come back from so much worse.

     

    I think this strikes the balance just right, all of them seem to be there to either take music seriously or at least have a go and explore that side of things to see what happens, but it's not taking itself TOO seriously. I like the little bits and pieces of them talking and the VTs are just enough to get to know everyone without making everything a sob story or dragging them out with their entire life story. I feel like if it was for charity, it'd veer more into embarrassing as I think bigger names would do it, but at the expense of talent, so it'd just end up like the infamous first celebrity series.

     

    People have come back from much worse than Megan but the awful thing is she’s a young woman.

     

    Had she been a male reality star whod been violent or someone like Ben whod cheated on his wife nobody would bat an eyelid though but girls always have it harder to come back from things for some reason.

     

    I mean look at the main chart people like Chris Brown can score hits pretty easily after what he did but Jessie Js commercial career died and she did much less controversial things.

    Anyone else scream at Cain doing that impression though “Cain please” :lol: :lol:

    Those are amazing odds for Will tbh if you betted that now.

     

    Nobody considers him as a threat but if the winner this year is a male it’s definitely him or Kelvin.

     

    Not only does have a journey element to him but there’s an emotion story there too whats genuine and not just Saffron’s nana crying on queue (she actually looked all over for her tissues this week when the camera panned on her lol).

     

    Plus Will is likeable and is genuinely improving and you can see how much this genuinely means to him.

     

    He’s definitely one of the ones more likely to win although the odds probably go off people who are thinking the judges faves / constant high scorers are the ones who will win it hasn’t worked out that way in ages.

     

    I’m guessing Ashley was probably the favourite to win last year at this point?
