  1. Sneaky! Beautiful Trauma got my vote here but it was actually pretty difficult. I just based it upon every other album as a whole having a bit more to offer for me though. Beautiful Trauma has some definite major stand outs and it is actually a good album in its own way it’s also an era i actually went too for the tour as well (although it kind of merged with Hurts 2B Human) but just think it’s kind of the safest option available. See M!ssundaztood was her breakthrough moment as a music mainstay and a real coming of age moment in 00s pop, Try This has aged brilliantly has bags of personality and some real experimentation (an album I’ve come to love) I’m Not dead has many cultural moments and signature stuff on there but again brilliant writing, Funhouse was when I first seen her live but I loved that albums theme, TTAL is my favourite overall which feels unpopular on here but there’s just something about that album I adore and I’ve never stanned as hard for her as I did that era. Beautiful Trauma come along and was lovely but definitely verging on safe. I think with Hurts 2B Human we had more of a varied album there with some experimentation there and left field collabs too but it felt like she was quite creative on that album and TRUSTFALL again i think offered a bit more for me and had some more interesting moments i also seen her live for this era too but as an album itself I think there’s more elements to the P!nk of the 00s. Definitely an interesting thread though as the real fans of P!nk don’t really see the debut as actually being the real her.
  2. I don’t think Simon will ever produce a major chart star again. The charts just work too differently now and I don’t think he’s anywhere near as respected as he was previously. I can’t so much see it being much of a thing didn’t he do something like this on ITV where a girlband I believe won but what happened to them? Yeah. I think there’s less interest re Simon these days. At some point I think we will see a major boyband and a major girl band break through some point this decade perhaps but it’s not gonna be with the aid of a talent show like this.
  3. Ends up at #47 this week in the UK. Would be nice if it climbed back into the top 40 but I think it should at least manage to remain inside the top 75/100 for the duration of the tour. I still have a hunch the London week might be the week we see it’s highest position of the 2024 chart run.
  4. After a pretty poor series I have to say I’m very happy and shocked at the public actually voting for a talented winner on this show at long last. I did see she was favourite but the way the British vote on this show I really was suspecting another male winner. Sydnie is genuinely one of the best reality tv contestants vocally in a long while. Gorgeous vocal and I’m still not fully over her My Way performance yet. Definitely a deserving winner I’d say and I haven’t championed a winner on this show since Tokio! Also so bizarre but not surprising we have to wait 17 series to get a sole female act winning  Yeah Sydnie is easily top 5 winners of this when I’ve looked at past winners.
  5. Bumping this. Keep voting -_-
  6. I really hope they can somehow get aware of the chart success and try and do some plugging for it even just on socials. Imagine if they’d actually pressed some new physicals for this like a new vinyl / CD or cassette etc it could’ve actually reached a new peak. Seeing it back inside the top 40 is nice to see though. I think it *could* perhaps manage top 20 maybes during London week but I’m just happy they’re back inside the top 40 again. The albums chart run initially was quite short and the Ten tour didn’t seem to have as much impact as this tour is having but this tours had quite substantial publicity and streamings now a factor in the charts where as before it was all down to paid sales and those attending likely bought it already.
  7. I attended Saturdays Newcastle show and absolutely loved it. It was actually better than I imagined and in already had big expectations. It was my second time seeing them the first being the Ten tour but this time around I went with my friends and they were like the girl band of our era. A packed setlist! So many camp moments, gorgeous outfits but some lovely heartfelt moments too. It really felt like Sarah was there and I love how included she was several tracks still kept Sarah’s vocals and her presence was very much there and felt and she was celebrated throughout the show in some beautiful ways. The girls looked so happy and engaged and it was lovely seeing Cheryl on home soil too! Setlist wise I had no complaints. The Loving Kind is one I’d have liked to have heard but I know the girls aren’t too keen on that one and as much as I’ve always liked See The Day I knew that was never happening. A great setlist though and Untouchable opening really worked actually seeing it. I really hope we get some more engagements from them as a girl I know they said no new music but I’d love them to continue in some way. A dream to actually see them again though as for many years particularly between 2014-2020 I didn’t imagine it ever happening. Really hope we get a professional DVD or recording of this in some capacity. Also re their hits so many of their tracks actually sound fresh now. Obviously some tracks are very 00s but so many of their tracks haven’t actually aged for me (maybe it’s bias) but they always broke the mould with the formula of their tracks and many not necessarily having the traditional structure. You’re really reminded again on this tour of how many recognisable tracks they had and how today they still have that uniqueness to them.
  8. @1796478077666783584 17 years! These anniversaries are flying by now. The album what fully cemented her icon status 🖤
  9. The Weeknd is my absolute favourite male and I’d love to see how their vocals would work together. I do remember a rumour before regarding them potentially having a song together although it wasn’t clear who’s album it was for but Prince is a icon / inspiration to both of them and they both do dark pop songs and imagery very well. I’d also love Miley females wise and I really think their vocals on paper would work perfectly. However sometimes those that you’d imagine are a perfect match don’t translate and those that look like a left field choice can work perfectly (like I don’t imagine many would’ve suspected Shallow would’ve become what it did). I don’t see Beyoncé on this with but I do potentially see Gaga on Beyonces next album.
  10. I’ve went for Talk that Talk this time around. It has some high highs on there but also some of the poorest album tracks and singles across her whole career (always felt a bit meh on the title track). I definitely remember feeling this was quite the step down from Good Girl Gone Bad, Rated R and Loud as a whole package.
  11. Hey all and happy bank holiday weekend! Round 4 is now open for the updated survivor. Round 3 seen 17 of you vote and Unapologetic has now left the survivor with 8 of you (47.06%) ranking it as your least favourite last round. Unapologetic is currently Rihanna’s most recent UK number one and it did win a Grammy as well as being her first ever US number one album. It become another 2X platinum album from her here in the UK and spawned major hits such as Diamonds and Stay. It is however quite divisive on here with people feeling strongly each way about it. I did suspect it may have left when it did for me personally however I do prefer it some of the albums left. Unapologetic definitely has odd track listing though and I think had the tracks been in a different order it may have felt more cohesive. Diamonds especially feels oddly placed on the album. This was her also (up to now) her album to be released within a quick succession too (it would be the fourth year in a row with a new Rih studio album but over three years until her next album ANTI and obviously from that point musics not been a focal point of her career). Get voting for round 4! Results so far 8th Place: Round 1: Music of The Sun (15/21 votes) 7th Place: Round 2: A Girl Like Me (12/19 votes) 6th Place: Round 3: Unapologetic (8/17 votes)
  12. Musically speaking (and as this is a music / chart forum after all) I’ve went with Mel C. I think she’s the best vocalist of the group and she’s definitely my favourite in terms of their musical solo careers. I adore Mel Cs vocal though (especially on a ballad  ).
  13. Oh no. The shows pretty much dying anyways (I mean possibly dramatic but it’s far less popular than it once was and it’s just a lot more contrived and fake / scripted. Mixed with the fact that the talent standard is much lower as well because we’ve pretty much seen everything. I think the show could’ve done with a break rather than an even longer series. We’ll see what does happen but I think extending the shows run might do a lot more damage overall. I think like X Factor did this shows kind of just become a real shell of its former self though. The golden buzzers have absolutely no value these days now and there’s a try too hard feeling I get from all the judges too. It’s hard to believe this was once must watch TV. I think a major rethink is needed and perhaps a modernisation.
  14. I’m so here for a whole new Gaga era!! I don’t know if it’s just because my socials filled with many Gaga fan pages and I follow many fans but hype is really there so hopefully there’s a single release coming fairly soon. I wonder if the snippet is actually the lead as well?! Hard to tell what direction it’s going in. I did get POP from it though and her dress sense from the last week has been quite reminiscent of Fame Monster era Gaga to me. I’m so ready for her to really come along and bring a whole new era though! We’ve almost made it through the Gaga drought. What a competitive year that she’s released in though! But, I do think she can pull off a pretty big comeback this time around and her star power is gonna be big this year with the Joker movie too! An exciting time for sure.
  15. What is it with Judas that’s made it become quite the streaming smash? It does consistently bigger numbers daily than songs that were way bigger hits at the time. Not complaining obviously but it is one of her bigger streamers these days.
  16. As per sales thread Tens total sales stand at: 361,920 It’s also top 40 again this week :cheer:
  17. Going off Wikipedia this is a new peak! It says the 2012 peak was #17. Quite a fitting new peak position for it now.

I don’t think they’re necessarily dead. Manufactured reality tv esque groups as in Little Mix, 1D, Girls Aloud (as in finding fame that way I don’t think we’ll see have high successes again) but I think there’ll be some form of boost where we’ll see more bands finding success (maybe ala social media this time around).
  19. Yes! So glad to see it manage to sneak in. I think it could actually climb this week as this well but very happy to see it get back in the top 40. I’d predicted that the tour would see this go top 40 again late last year in the predictions thread. Ten deserved more first time around though. Is this largely down to streaming as well?
  20. Obviously happy that this means more fans are able to go but for the people like me who panic bought on release day it does feel like a kick in the teeth to see people go for a fraction of what you paid  I guess it’s the same with any gig though.
  21. For me it was more the chart was quite dull to follow at that year. It seemed like a really slow year. 2017 was worse musically though I’d agree on that! 2015-2017 in general were quite brutal on solo females though. Like so many hits what didn’t scrape top ten. The top ends of the chart were very male heavy in those years and a lot of similar sounding tracks smashing yet not necessarily standing test of time in the end.
  22. I’m here for new chart changes. One thing I’ve enjoyed more lately is that physical formats in CDs are more of a thing (again) and cassettes etc obviously they’re more of a short term boost but I do like that there’s still little incentives for a physical. The chart is a bit more interesting to follow now than it was from 2016-2019 though (2016 especially was definitely a struggle like others have said) I think the 2020s decade and lockdown in a way made the charts a bit more exciting again. In terms of the UK I think it’s actually the album chart what needs looking at more than the singles chart (I’m definitely one of those who agrees with ACR on the whole and definitely in terms of the the tracks per artist rule)
  23. 8 years!!! Those years have just absolutely flown by. I completely stanned this album at the time of its release. I do think she’s topped it since but this is still a really enjoyable album from start to finish and I think it’s the album that made me realise that she really was a main pop icon from that point forward.
  24. Showing at #53 in the UK midweeks this week. Tour impact kicking in. Would love to see this return to the top 40.
  25. Billie could get the #1 at some point if she throws out some cassettes / CDs as she has a pretty dedicated fanbase. Still for her to debut this high when the whole album dropped at the same time is impressive in itself.
