Layton gave huge hypocrite vibes there given how much of a point they made about people being awful to them online during last years Strictly. Classic definition of someone who can dish out criticism but can’t take any themselves.

I have to agree that timing wasn’t right! Or maybe CBB but in another country could’ve been better as her Love Island series was pretty big and she’s been the last “impactful” islander. Well I’d even say shes one of the few islanders across the entire UK run who’s known to people who don’t even watch the show her and Molly Mae id have said we’re the biggest ones to come from the show. I’m sure this will soon blow over but yeah. I’ve sent her a little message in the hope she may see it with some encouraging words on there. I really don’t think she’s done anything wrong though.

Anyone heard this in full? I’ll be listening tomorrow and rather excited. JTs pretty consistent with me a stellar discography as a solo artist. How are we expecting this to do? I mean sales wise he could debut at #1 possibly? I know his popularity has seen a bit of a downfall lately but studio album wise he has a top 2 streak here in the UK so could he maintain this? I’ve seen pretty muted reviews but what I’ve heard from the album I’ve personally really enjoyed. I guess we’ll soon see but intrigued to hear people’s thoughts on this -_-

I honestly don’t see what Ekin has done wrong. I think I’ve been watching a very different show here. If anyone’s got an attitude against women it’s Fern (young attractive women at least). I won’t even say what i really want to say. But yeah I don’t think she’s warranted the level of tweets she’s had at all. This series has been pretty tame to some C5 series for example like we seen some real villains on there - Ekin really hasn’t done anything in my opinion. Obviously she come across differently on Love Island but the aim of that show was different. I don’t think she’s anywhere near as confident as you’d perhaps assume and she was out of her depth on a show like this (I think maybe she did this show a series too soon personally). Hoping she has some support over the next few weeks :heart:

Album holds pretty well #6 in the UK this week so just down one place but we have two new entries at #1 and #2. I hope the O2 show can add some sales I’d seen she was signing on her story for the show. I’m definitely here for this really taking off amongst the GP now. The BRITs has really made the public more aware of her I think which is a great thing. I can see her and this album having a big 2024. Would love to it sneak a week at #1 at some point which I still think could be possible.

She comes across like a jealous mare to me. She has a deep chat with her on night one and has disregarded her since. I don’t think she’s quite as nice she claims to be very phoney like to me. Ekin I think is pretty raw and real she’s not had the greatest edit but I can see where she’s coming from. I think she may do better in this than Dancing on Ice as I think CBB and Love Island have a similar audience. Dancing on Ice isn’t as popular with that audience I don’t think.

Amazing news! Someone else may confirm this but I *think* it’s just Madonna and Taylor who’ve managed 5 consecutive studio albums in a row to get to the UK albums #1 amongst females. I had a look earlier at the females with the most number one albums and I think Ari has joined that trio who’ve done five in a row :wub:

Hoping it’s Fern and Levi. I think it’ll be Levi and I can’t quite call the second evictee but Ekin Su got all my votes. Fern is pretty awful in regards to her (and given her Meghan comments as well) I don’t think she’s quite as timid and mother like as some on socials make her out to be.

#35 in the UK! So it did make the top 40 in the end :heart: Pretty good result I’d say!

I think Dua is definitely becoming more confident in the performing stakes. She’s still got a lot of room to grow as well and she seems the sort who’s open to ideas and trying things out. I think she’ll be a pretty decent headliner. We’ve seen Coldplay do it many times already and we’ve also had many similar male bands / acts headline who to me aren’t exactly known for putting on a show. Dua’s a perfect choice, the biggest British female of the streaming generation, a lot of hits under her belt and she’s pretty decent vocally as well. In terms of the “her tracks sound the same” critique I think there’s other headliners who’ve done it who offer a lot less variety but that’s just me :lol:

I’m going to be optimistic towards Ariana here and go for her here! I don’t actually think it’s *that* unlikely that she could do it as well she just needs some form of push from somewhere. Arianators get streaming - we can do this for her.

Hoping Ariana gets some physicals for next week. She does have a strings version and an acapella version on iTunes at the moment so hopefully those also go to streaming sites. It’s too good for it to just miss out on #1!

Not what I was expecting artwork wise but it does catch your eye. I’m definitely intrigued at the whole album sound but here for a new era. One thing we know about Dua is that she puts in the work and sustains proper album campaigns. I’ll have a order at some point these days I try and wait as long as possible or get one after the release just incase another artwork what’s preferable pops up :lol: I do like that there’s no features too. (I kind of hope it stays that way as the re release of Future Nostalgia felt very much just for streaming purposes and didn’t feel connected to the original albums theme)

I’m kind of glad that I chose the exclusive edition 2 now (I did initially opt for 4 but then changed it with 2 now being seen as the main cover on streaming sites and it hugely growing on me. I’m quite glad now as that booklet does look the nicest :heart: I may well get another edition as well just to have both booklets (I am a bit of a collector geek with things like that). Hoping to get my physical copy soon it typically arrived with a very noticeable crack and I had no cases to replace it with so off it went :lol: Artwork wise aesthetically I like 4 the most, 3 I feel suits the album the most and 2 I feel is the most “artistic”. I’ve kind of really appreciated the different covers now. I’m definitely thankful that what I feel was possibly the original artwork (that “yes and?” close up) has seemingly taken a back seat. I do think she seen the fan reactions there and had a creative think!

I’d been debating actually saying this but is this possibly as a whole piece her best album? I’m so impressed by the whole thing and I was quite nervous given yes, and? didn’t hit me (even in context now of it being on the album I’d say it’s the odd one out but it does stand out on the album production wise and I do like it slightly more now even if it’s my personal least favourite) I think as an album listen it flows so well. Tracklisting order is perfect. I think this is kind of like looking at the best moments across her albums discography and creating an album off that but there’s so much to these songs, those little flourishes and extra touches. The vocals as well the diction! I really don’t think this is just a first week hype talk as i didn’t feel this strongly in regards to positions or even thank u, next but I think Sweetener really now has a rival for the magnum opus of her career :heart:

I think this is perhaps her most relatable song she’s ever done? She’s been a real hit maker but I think lyrically speaking this is something what’s so easy to connect with in some form or other and the video really tells a story as well. I think it’s connecting outside of her usual audience too. I’m so here for this smashing! Future UK #1 please :heart:

She’s won the Academy Award for this as well! 2X Oscar Winner and officially the youngest 2X winner in history. Absolutely deserved :heart: what an insane accomplishment to get! From the minute I first heard this song I’ve fallen in love with it and felt this was going to happen for her. Stunning it now just needs that top ten peak in the US.

I bought Billies What was I Made For? On cassette the week it was pushing for UK #1 I think? Before that though I honestly can’t think! The price tag for that one really pushed me to do it and the fact I really wanted it to snatch that #1.

I really want a physical copy of the CD of this but I’m still holding off on the hope of the Forever edition getting a release at some point. Is that likely at all?

If the rumours are true re Glastonbury I wonder if the album release may coincide with that?? Maybes release a third single first and have the album in June? Beyoncé’s 4 album was released to coincide with Glastonbury too wasn’t it? It may be a good way of releasing and a brilliant promo slot? I do think we’ll soon see but that’s perhaps what I’m starting to think.

Anyone who has the 4 editions from her store? Are all of the editions different in terms of the album booklet as well or is it just the cover that’s different? I’ve had to send my order from her store back as it arrived damaged :lol:

Is it too late to extend this series Gah I feel like it’s just so short and so much is happening and has potential to happen. I’ve really missed this show so much I know it’s not for everyone but you’d just never get this type of drama on I’m A Celeb for example :lol: I think this has probably had a stronger start to what the last civilian series had as well. Gary was no real loss for me im pleased he did actually leave tonight though, he may have gone further on I’m A Celebrity possibly as I think older audiences might’ve liked him more but I don’t think many core CBB viewers are fond of the royal family in fairness :lol:

hopefully there’s a we can’t be friends CD coming at some point. It’s just too good to not at the least go top ten! I do think Spotify is more her platform than what Apple is though and that the track could perhaps peak in weeks to come? We’ve had a bit of a different approach this time around with Ari but I think this era may well be more of a campaign :heart:

Sales position this week of #13 but officially #87. I wonder if Red Nose Day could sneak it back into the top 100 as she has the single for that doesn’t she? I think this may be its last week top 100 though without a re release or a big promo slot. It may well stick around on sales chart it’s just streaming but 3 weeks top 100 is still better than what some sales oriented acts get.
