I’ve really liked both Drown and Selfish so far. Also a UK tour was announced today. I’d really like to nab some tickets but pretty much everything has happened within this paymonth with still one week before payday :lol:

Officially debuts at #2! Her third #2 debut but keeping that top ten streak in tact. Come to think of it she’s had pretty strong longevity considered she debuted in 2009 and for a British female to still score a top 2 debut 15 years into their career is pretty good going. A shame it couldn’t snag a week at #1 though ^_^

I really like that album cover! Can’t say I’m that excited for the album itself though I think any anticipation I had dwindled a long while ago now. But I’m glad she’s able to finally put out a body of work. To think she first teased this in 2018 now wasn’t it?! I wonder just how much material has been scraped since then and how different this album will be from whatever she was recording back then

Holding at #2 in midweeks. I think she’ll likely manage to stay at #2 for its official debut. Some midweek sales info from the Friday predictions thread. Looks like IDLES have it in the bag but I don’t think Noah will quite catch up to Paloma for this week. 1. #2 in the midweeks! Almost a 7k lead on the #3 so I think she should be safe to at least stay top 3 if Noah Kahan does overtake. Pity it wasn’t enough for a #1 debut but she’s maintained sales pretty well from the last album and there’s not many British females who’ve had the success she’s had across the albums chart in terms of consistency. An easy 6th top ten at worst! 11,495 sales sold so far. I’ve also ordered a copy now. There are some signings later in the week but am I right in thinking that those sales may already be counted or do you buy the album at the signing itself?

The actor who plays Liam suddenly turning into one of the best actors on the show? Obviously Mason is miscast because he clearly is about 5 year older than Dylan and Liam but after being barely shown for years now the Liam actor is completely smashing this bullying story and playing the part so well. The rest of the show is still generally pretty rubbish though. I really think the hour episodes being permanent was a terrible decision especially when the show is at it is now.

Great set of episodes across the last week. Colin Salmon really works in this role and that storyline was very interesting but well acted. I liked seeing another side to Gina as well and I think both Gina and Anna actresses had their best performances so far last week. Also enjoying the six story (well the five as Sharon isn’t there :lol: ).

I can definitely see why this Beyoncé track is catching on. Not usually huge on her actual material itself but i instantly liked this so if it was to be her first number one since 2010 I wouldn’t be too mad!

I don't necessarily love any of these artworks if im honest but I think ill be purchasing the final one which was revealed today as I think thats my personal favourite although its hard to tell which one fits the album theme the most. I’m definitely excited to hear a new Ariana solo album in full though and not long to go at all! I do think with all these multi formats we could be in for a decent enough debut.

I’m going to purchase one of the deluxe CDs but I’m holding off pre ordering and just going to grab one on release week I think on the *off* chance there’s signed copies or there’s a preferred artwork coming. I’m hoping that we see the deluxe tracks on streaming at some point.

Pretty solid album on first listen! Divorce and Cry on the Dancefloor stood out the most on first listen. It’s a pretty strong album though. She’s very consistent for me though. I’m quite inclined to get some tour tickets for her Newcastle show :wub: EDIT: Paloma is on the Jonathan Ross show tonight. Hopefully it does something for her in terms of album sales if she’s performing but she has had some gigs across the weekend and there’s some signings across the week too. Would be nice to see her score another #1 but she should easily maintain her top ten streak across studio albums at worst I’d think!

Id say a low top ten peak for this would be seen as a success. Its probably at best going to do how Rita Oras third album did which I’d say is a likely guess as to how this may do (although it could also perform how Emeli Sandes two most recent albums did as well). In a way I’m surprised the albums actually seeing the light of day but yeah there’s pretty much no hype for this it seems.

I enjoyed the half time show too although it would’ve probably had more impact a decade ago. He does still have the ability to put on a strong show. Would’ve been nice if the new album had managed to do better in its debut week here in the UK.

If it’s close it could depend on whose team are the most savvy. Does Beyoncé really care re the UK singles chart these days? It would be something but even just her getting as high as top ten is impressive in itself for someone who’s had two decades in the industry. Team Benson and Dua might be more pushy in terms of actively wanting the #1 more. I think right now I might say Benson but I wouldn’t be shocked at any of Beyoncé or Dua doing it as well. Dua has an advantage this time around of not having a monster hit around this time around and not needing huge numbers to do it but as we’ve seen with Dua her hits are more long running smashes than gigantic first week type tracks.

This kind of sounds like a AI style mashup. On paper you’d think Ariana x Mariah would really work but this just wasn’t the song for it. If they ever do something like this again hopefully it’ll be on a ballad which will draw out their strengths more and they’d be able to compliment one another a lot more.

I still don’t think the sound difference is that drastic from Future Nostalgia era. She’s found her stride now with the sort of artist she is and that’s fine but it’s not like she’s went from a Like a Prayer to Erotica or American Life to Confessions on a Dancefloor style sound overhaul. I think on first listen Houdini was more for me but I will give this another chance. Should easily be another hit for her we’ve seen since her debut now that her singles always end up having huge staying power but I’m still waiting for the huge wow moment from DL3 that both her debut and Future Nostalgia had plenty of.

It may well peak higher because of it not being a Q4 release but I feel like she’s likely now gonna struggle because of streams as she always relied more on high physical sales. Really excited to hear this though. I think she could potentially challenge for a #1 with this there’s been quite a while for the pre order and she usually does decently enough in her opening weeks (and I think she’ll be promoting well too).

I might hold off pre ordering and opt for a release week purchase just incase there’s another variant / bonus coming! I do hope all the bonus tracks make it to streaming eventually. I am really hoping this album is more in the vein of folklore / evermore. It’s hard to really tell but just going off the images of the covers it doesn’t necessarily scream “pop” album.

The character of Ruby is so high camp and I think I’m going to bed obsessed with her :lol:

Ushers album was selling for just £3.99 on iTunes and he has Super Bowl as promo should be looking at a good debut id say. I do think Noah might manage to get a #1 with the new edition of his album plus he has tour impact with UK shows doesn’t he?

Combined sales :lol: (although it didn’t actually do too shabby on paid sales either). 39 weeks on the sales chart (which is actually more than Starboy and Dawn FM).

I’m so here but I really need a good months pay packet before any tour announcements after purchasing Adele tickets. (Although hopefully that’s coming later on than this month). The magic potions take time makes me think it’s not necessarily imminent but she is definitely working on something! I could possibly see her dropping the album around the time Born This Way / Chromatica were released.

So there’s now a deluxe version of this with 18 additional tracks (which include some of the Idol soundtrack hits and tracks from Dawn FM era which came out after the original version of this). So this should keep in the charts for *even* longer. It would be something if it could sneak a week at #1 but even with the additional streams I think it would take a new physical CD / vinyl to really push it but I imagine this will give it another year of healthy sales.

I always liked Karen so I will miss her and did I quite like seeing her return again. It was pretty in character for Karen to come back and quite realistic (as far as realism can go in this story) that in person she’d make a return to look for her boy. The only thing it lacked mainly is Sharon being there and her absence or more the timing feels quite off. But yeah, enjoying the show still. The character of George’s dad is definitely one to watch as well he’s very well acted but also very unsettling :( Kellie Bright and Diane Parish are the stars of the show right now. Kellie Bright is just so good with the scenes where Linda turns to alcohol and Diane Parish really is seemingly getting her well deserved praise and attention right now.
