Leonas been a dream contestant for me for so long! I had a hunch the other day we might see a Saturdays member on this new series.

I was delighted for Ellie but wouldn’t have been too mad at a Bobby win but I think Nigel was Ellie’s biggest threat when it came to just the vote alone. Ellie’s been a real favourite of mine though right from the start and I’d voted for her several times across the series so she firmly had my support. Seeing some speculation that people think Craig could be be leaving the show?! I wouldn’t actually be too mad at a judging panel revival but Craig is probably the most unbiased and fair judge they have so he wouldn’t have been who I’d want to lose. I could see Shirley perhaps leaving for the states show as well. For me I’d quite like the idea of having a little switch around though I don’t think the scoring / critique is quite what it was when Len and Darcy were judges.

Public votes wise Nigel was probably her main challenger. I’m still convinced Annabel was second by the public last week too. She could’ve still been 2nd by public with a combined score of 4 and been in the dance off.

A few what come to mind for me! Dido - White Flag (genuinely amongst my all-time favourites) Lady Gaga - The Edge of Glory (not quite a #2 but a stunning song but the release schedule of all Born This Way singles affected their peak). This could’ve easily went top 3 if held back but it was still huge. Ariana Grande - no tears left to cry - (typical for this to be held off by One Kiss!) Adele- Rolling In The Deep I’d also mention The Weeknd - Save Your Tears and Girls Alouds - Call The Shots.

I wonder how close it would’ve been had Tony went in on the first day. He could’ve really come closer to securing a win! I miss the days of seeing the full series stats :(

Seeing across X/Twitter that there’s a naughty version of this being tagged to the end of the Christmas & Chill EP! This may just give it that push to go top 10 both here and US?! Could it also help the EP itself to chart on albums as well I wonder or will it still be too short?

I’d say Kylie would do more as she has a bigger stan fanbase and has promo too! I’m expecting top ten for Kylie (in terms of the UK at least we’re Kylies biggest market after all).

I’m pretty sure this is how the results went now! Layton- 4 (judges points) + 1 (public point) = 5 SAFE Ellie- 3 (judges points) + 4 (public points) = 7 SAFE Bobby- 2 (judges points) + 2 (public points) = 4 DO Annabel- 1 (judges point) + 3 (public points) = 4 DO Bobby cant have beaten Annabel and Annabel can’t have topped is what I’ve come to realise (surely there can’t be any instance you can top a public vote and still go). Ellie should get the win with ease next week now! I’m a bit gutted for Annabel but it was evident they wanted her out and she has the tour to look forward too at least. EDIT: So Bobby may have beaten Annabel but I don’t think Annabel would’ve been last by public or Layton as high as second!

I still think there’s an Amazon physicals lack too! It could’ve perhaps been higher had those been there. I actually tried looking for it in HMV yesterday and couldn’t see it in the store but I can see it’s available online (but I was looking for the deluxe is that just download / streaming only?).

Almost at the end of an another year now without this album. 2024 to finally be the year?!

I bought the tour deluxe yesterday! I usually always buy on release day too but perhaps it’s worked out nicely to try and help its chart performance this week. The albums done pretty well though and will probably re-appear in the charts again when the tour returns to the UK in 2024.

Track 9 supremacy! They really are all strong and highlights amongst their albums. I went with the title track of Can’t Take Me Home though.

I’d prefer Tony but think it’ll be Sam. It’s probably gonna be closer between 2nd and third though I can see Sam getting around 60-65% of the vote between the three of them and when the vote becomes just the two it’ll turn to around a 80% margin :lol:

A semi final dance off I don’t really like. I know it’s the rules and has been for many series but for example Layton could get 1 off the public which is 5 as a total score right as he was top tonight. But Annabel would need to top the public vote to not be in the dance off? It makes it very hard to not be in it if you’re the judges least favourite basically. Even if she’s second top with public her score will only be four because there were no ties. Keep the dance off until the quarter finals would be my ideal scenario. Bobby had a great night tonight for me. Layton I’m indifferent towards but I won’t go into that B-) Ellie’s been my favourite overall I’d say so I’ll be voting for her in the final I think. (Which I imagine she’ll make with ease I think she’s likely topping the vote now). Annabel definitely the biggest journey contestant not just this series but in some time I’d say! I’d have never had her down as a semi finalist (and she’d have been a finalist in another series as there usually is four in the final).

This is #96 in the UK this week! It did hang on in there. 18 weeks now inside the top 100 but I definitely imagine when the tour begins next year there’ll be a lot of attention and it’ll return there but it’s great to see it’s been top 100 the last two weeks ;) Next year should possibly be their best streaming year yet?!

Her Newcastle show tonight did indeed go ahead. She was definitely unwell (she opened the show very apologetic saying how she was feeling unwell but she wanted to put on a show tonight. The atmosphere was intimate but lovely and cosy and even with sickness she still has a beautiful voice. She was really lovely plenty of crowd involvement and crowd interactions and she looked beautiful as well some lovely outfits. I’ve always really went hard for Leona though when she’s good in the vocal stakes she’s *really* good! Really here for some new non Christmas related material from her now but what a nice last minute treat it turned out to be. Also we really need One More Sleep to continue being a staple. Would love to see it take off worldwide but she’s definitely (for me at least) the British festive queen.

Ten is at #70 on today’s chart update. I think it should still place another week inside the top 100 come Friday?

Thats true on Spotify! I use Apple Music though and she’s top ten on there and actually higher than Ariana! I’m glad it’s still become somewhat of a UK staple throughout December regardless. With any luck I’ll be seeing her live tomorrow as well if her tour does indeed resume for the Newcastle show :)

One More Sleep is at 30 on today’s update! Should re-enter on Friday. Wonder how high it can get. I’d love it to sneak another week inside the top 10 again this year (it usually peaks like the final chart week of the year doesn’t it as it’s a Christmas Eve themed track) but maybe top 20 could be more realistic?

Frankie or Nick would be my guess! I’m now thinking Tony will finish a lot higher than I initially thought. Can actually potentially see him make the final now with the edit he’s had he’s come across so much better than I thought!

Before the show begun I’d have predicted a Layton 40 tonight following the dance off last week. Don’t get me wrong he’s good but every dance feels like a show dance and not necessarily the dance that they’re supposedly doing -_-
