I’m perhaps thinking single 2 could do better out of the gate. It’s not uncommon for Gaga to have a lead single that does well enough but a second single that does far far better (Joanne and Chromatica both had higher selling follow ups to the lead). I actually can see Disease doing decently though (I mean I hope it does) but I really think that the more awareness it gets the better it’ll do and I think it might end up being a track that charts for a long time within the lower regions of the top 40/75. Chart success aside though I do really think this is a decent enough song. It’s hard to say as a lead if it’s a good lead without knowing what else is on the album but it is very Gaga, it’s dark enough to be a Halloween staple, she’s not sounded this way vocally before on a Gaga pop album and production wise it’s nothing like anything she’s done since at least 2013. I’m keeping faith that from the rest of this week / next week (providing Halloween has the video) that this will stabilise and be successful of sorts. At the least we should hold UK top 10! But I do have a feeling too there could be a longer term approach for this and once Die With A Smile peaks in the US there’ll be a bigger approach for this in terms of physicals which may be a big thing for this especially as a Gaga lead.

How is Gaga doing re playlisting on Spotify? Hopefully come today and through the week it at least stabilises and then possibly climbs once the video drops / once the general public are more aware of its release. It’s doing quite well on Apple so that’s something at least. I think it’s also been rising on Amazon too.

I think it’s coming on Halloween itself which i wouldn’t mind too much! But yeah that is good to see! I was actually thinking back to previous videos and I remember how eventful it was whenever we had a video premiere. I do think a video could help the song in a sense to grow more but what’s more important than anything is streaming support as it’s kinda rare now for a music video to really help sell anything without cheques to streaming sites.

This is a sign we need some sort of physical push for Gaga but I do feel like streaming will begin to pick up as the week progresses. I’m hopeful it’s at least entering top 10 now we’re at #1 at this stage and there’s an ACR clearout with many tracks ahead on streaming.

Not too sad at the drop just because it was to be expected in a sense. I think we might see stability / perhaps increases from Monday though and other platforms such as Apple and Amazon are showing stability / increases. I think the goal here could be more long term and not throwing everything towards a huge debut. Top 10 debut I’d be pleased with :wub:

The battle of the 31 scorers tonight! Guess we’ll see some vote tests tonight as Chris will get by on the public vote. Shayne for me was definitely underscore and Wynne again overscored. Could see a pretty unjust result tonight though idk why but I have a bad hunch Shayne could well be leaving.

Wouldn’t actually mind APT going to #1 from the non ACR tracks! Gaga would be first pick obviously but I’m just hoping that it stabilises and adds to her top ten tally. DWAS for compare sake debuted a lot lower than this and that turned out to be huge so debut may not mean everything. If she drops the video midweek that’s bound to help (also hope we get a physical too!). But yeah hopefully it’s a sign Gagas heading for a solo top 10!

I’m ok with #9! Would love it to go higher and I’m gonna remain optimistic it could as this is purely just day one but to still be able to debut that highly is pretty good in contention with some of her peers. And with ACR too for chart purposes she may well be higher with some tracks that are ahead. Hoping figures are close too! Intrigued to see how the week goes now but yeah not too bad for a debut really (we also had 5 hours less for UK didn’t we due to its release). Keep streaming now and ensure we get that strong official charts debut!

I’m torn on what to expect but possibly UK being higher than US this time around do we think? The reaction to this has definitely been stronger than it was for Stupid Love so I think this could perform better overall. We shall soon see. Come through Monsters!

With Die With A Smile getting that 10th week top ten Gaga has now spent 100 weeks in the UK singles chart top 10 across her 15 top ten singles! Ready to see how much more the LG7 era can add to that tally :wub:

Awful eviction result for me tonight. Usually I’d kind of root for the quieter housemate leaving and I’ve wanted it many times but based on who was up tonight I really don’t think tonight was the night for that to actually happen. Izaaz was probably my favourite of all the males in there :cry:

I think Rain on Me had one day at #1 (I wanna say Chromatica release day) But it was mainly #2 on Spotify I think! I want to say the day it was at #1 it was like (4-5 sales) it was a tiny lead but a win nonetheless! But I think Disease is looking very promising just going off Apple!

10th #1 album :wub: :wub: :wub: Genuinely so impressive how since 2018 she’s doubled her UK #1 albums tally. From Golden she’s really racked them up in quite a quick succession too!

Hopefully the music video is coming during release week too as that could really help with Gaga being quite the visionary.

Gahhh #1 would be an absolute dream and it’s been released at a time where it’s not like “impossible” let’s say if things go right. I’ve cautiously went for top 5 though but very intrigued at streaming numbers. My TL is full of people streaming already but that may well be because I’m a stan and follow many other stans :lol:

I’m quite sold on first listen! But I’m feeling so many thoughts/ emotions at once. When I seen the lyrics in my head I was working out what the melody would sound like and yeah it threw me as it’s quite unexpected but this really sounds like the most pure Gaga lead since at least Applause?! Love her vocals as well (and the ahh ahh) throughout really kinda add to the overall vibe of the song. I absolutely need the video now as I’m trying to picture the visuals to this but I think this is really very much like an older sister to Fame Monster / Born This Way era Gaga.

What did Stupid Love do sales wise for the #5 debut? I’d say I’m gonna look at Stupid Love as the one to perhaps more closely compare it to with it being her most recent lead.

I’m honestly the same! It’s definitely lodged in my head. I just wish I hadn’t seen that Ting Tings tweet :lol: :lol: because I do see that comparison and they’re amongst my worst acts of all time but this is like an example of when fun music can really work!

Really hoping this can somehow avoid ACR! It may be tight. If it does I think we could actually get the #1 next week but then with her lead coming I’m hoping we can get a strong debut for that!
