So happy she got the US #1 album and reached the milestone tenth #1 album there! She's the only female act to have at least ten #1 singles and albums both here in the UK and in the USA (Taylors the only female to have ten US #1 singles and albums besides Madonna too). This eras been such a triumph and it goes to show you that regardless of age when the material is actually strong people will support you!

I feel like Zoe should’ve probably been recast years ago and she might’ve been a much more successful character if that had been the case. Michelle turned down many opportunities to return and you can only imagine that she turned down genuinely great stories too. I don’t know if it’s Michelle herself or the stories she had since coming back but it’s just all been really awful. I won’t miss the character but I imagine it’s a shortsighted decision and the death will be some sort of random stunt / accident (well not a long running issue based death story at any rate). Jessie will probably be fuming though ☠️

England related songs all likely to get a big increase 😅. Can they find a way to get something good tied to the game somehow get Cheryl’s Fight for This Love to become our new anthem with a performance at the next game 😉

So I have a ranking of the main 6 albums and some thoughts! I just wanna say firstly that all 6 albums are strong in their own way and that there’s 5 brilliant albums here and one almost brilliant album! (I also enjoy Xscape but don’t count it here and the first 4 albums may as well be the same album and I don’t think really contain anything iconic or majorly what we know of MJ in his king of pop era) Bad - all killer, no filler. One of the best pop albums ever. Maybe my fave male artist album of all time. It really is that good. If I was to ever get anyone who’s never heard a MJ album to play one of his albums this is the one I’d choose every time. Dangerous a brilliant follow up album! Love pretty every song on this too and the later half of the album especially slaps. I always used to have mixed feelings on Heal The World which led to me Always saying Bad was my favourite above that but even that songs grew on me a lot and I think MJ was ahead of time on the whole climate love songs in that era. Off The Wall - I think this has more of a hunger to Thriller. This is an artist wanting to show us all what they’re capable of. Love the vocals on this album and how it’s to the point but actually varied for a short album. I think there’s a timelessness to this album too. Thriller - Definitely iconic but for me not his best! I can see why it was so huge but I think there’s a slight feeling of him ever so slightly holding back on this album. Invincible - An album what probably contains the least iconic songs but i do prefer it to HIstory as i don’t think there’s any skips on here. There’s elements of hiphop on the album what I think are ahead of time for when it was released and I think there’s an overall stronger theme on this to what there was on HIstory too where it doesn’t feel as pretentious. Lyrically this touches upon his extreme fame and media struggles more than other albums what made it a powerful listen. HIstory - An album what has some high-highs and passionate and powerful vocals. I think there’s a great 10/11 track album here but there’s just a few too many tracks on the album for me and the covers don’t add anything to the album for me. His only album I’d argue that there could’ve been some cuts made.

#7 on the UK streaming album chart for Confessions II. Very good result id say. For comparative sake Kylies DISCO, Tension and Tension II peaked at numbers 14, (DISCO) 11 (Tension) and 58 (Tension II) on this chart. I think a second week top 40 feels almost certain and I think she could even land another week top 20. I think this could outlast Madame Xs 5 weeks top 100.

It’s definitely been a stable hit but i think 2024 seemed like a much more competitive year for releases compared to 2026 so far!

Amy did well with Karim but I do agree with you that JB and Lauren had better chemistry. Now you’ve mentioned Lauren she could work well with him after her unjust early exit last year!

I think the Live from Mexico album will end up eventually getting a UK top 10 peak the next time Dua is in album mode (or tour mode) but it’s hanging on decently and is likely now a chart staple for her! Smart move making into a greatest hits esque album on streaming!

3 chart weeks from matching what My Everything spent on the UK chart in terms of top 100 weeks. I imagine it should achieve this as I think it’ll get boosted with petal release and London promo?! Imagine if this actually becomes her longest runner on the top 100 and overtakes Dangerous Woman too!

I don’t even think it’s close to the best song on the album too. I think Bizarre sounds like a hit to me (I mean it has potential!!) but I can see why this has had the reaction it’s had and the “everybody get up and dance” line could definitely go viral.

Streaming party for DWAS?! typical of it does go onto ACR just as Bruno’s tours about to come here. Can England fans somehow use it for the game and get it to go viral that way 😆

Some more variants have now been added to the store (the US Store that is) but hopefully the UK get access to the store too! 3 weeks to go for the release. EDIT: so the new cover is on the UK store but the edition with the 32 page booklet isn’t as of yet. There’s 9 variations of the album on the UK store at the moment a mix of different covers, CD, digital download, cassette. And HMV also have a different cover as well unique to them too. At the moment I have two editions ordered but I always do a digital download from iTunes too so that’ll be 3 sales off of me!

Madonna is still the only female artist to have double digit total of both albums and singles chart UK #1s with 13 (of each).

Taylor is the only female with more #1 albums for anyone (like me who was wondering who the other 3 were) The other artists are The Beatles and Jimmy Barnes.

Ordered the 3x CD for now! Wonder how high this will manage to get. The other releases had a longer pre order period didn’t they? But given this is the fan favourite album I wouldn’t be surprised if this snuck a week in the top 40. Number one album in Australia!! And Number 2 in New Zealand (behind Olivia Rodrigo). The UK chart wait is gonna feel like agony (I mean I know It wasn’t even close in the mids but you never know if a last minute 20k is just gonna appear out of nowhere). Also re the download sales I do think they’re counted and It was possibly that they’re just that low (or maybe there was a delay In digital sales) intrigued to see the digital sales as they’re released later today. Roll on 6pm!

There could be some songs released earlier than this but the one what always comes to mind straight away is That's Not My Name by the Ting Tings 😅

I think the album could do really well overall and I do agree you perhaps need to sit with it. I think she’s the sort of artist who has appeal to all ages too because she has that vocalist vibe and a vintage feel to her (a bit like Olivia Dean). I genuinely think she has it all in her favour to transcend and be huge i think she needs that one hit to be her “Man I Need” but it’s all going good for her so far. She’d have likely gotten the number one album if she released it another week and her team done a push but her sales are pretty decent regardless! And I think longevity will be manageable with having a few songs what attracted decent streams here. I kinda slept on the album with being in Madonna mode but this proved a welcome break and I already want to hear it again which is a good sign.
