Rihanna - US Number One Singles Survivor 2025 - Round 4
Keep votes coming and I’ll close this at the weekend possibly :)

Least favourite Lady Gaga 3rd single ● ROUND 1
G.U.Y with ease for me! I’ve always loved Joanne the song although the album version in its more raw form actually hits more. Looking at the tracks though this is actually hard! Some career bests and they’re all pretty much amongst the best tracks from their respective eras too.

eternal sunshine • 7th album
61 weeks now inside UK top 100! It’ll match sweetener if it’s at #100 or higher on Friday (and it should be with ease!). Can see it outlasting Sweetener by quite a few weeks tbf! Dangerous Woman is her longest runner by weeks inside the top 100 here in the UK, although thank u, next had more weeks at #1, top 10 and top 40 than any of her eras to date and My Everything currently leads on overall sales 😆. One thing about Ari is she’s had pretty consistent success since the My Everything era and even Yours Truly did alright over the years as she gained more exposure.

Mayhem ● 7th album
Hoping the actual sales are still at a similar level! Hoping this isn’t a sign of it being soon to exit the top 100 though 🫠

f - Lady Gaga General Discussion (Part 2)
It does feel frustrating. She’s been super busy and she’s actively promoted this era a lot too! I can see that she may have been too busy to film a music video but these days they don’t make a difference. Her team just need to put something on playlists and get a lyric video out there or push something to radio! The chart units are so tight that a few hundred extra sales could push her up about 15 positions on the chart! Insiders (if they’re to be trusted) did say June so I guess we wait! I guess her focus on this era so far after Coachella was on doing things for fans who’ve waited like a decade if not longer to see her, in a way she’s always fed the UK and she’s coming here in October too (prays her team somehow manage to get a “audience with” esque show filmed whilst she’s here tour - I think something like that could be great promotion.

Miley Cyrus - Something Beautiful
UK #76 for week 2!
-
MARINA - PRINCESS OF POWER
I’d also say that #7 is a good result for her. A shame the last era ruined her top 10 streak but this is definitely stronger than that was for me. Everybody Knows I’m Sad I think being my overall favourite.

Lady Gaga - UK Chart Runs & Sales
Gaga crosses the 400 weeks mark in the UK Top 75 albums chart! Both The Fame and MAYHEM are there this week. Not too sure how many females have this accolade but a it’s a new stat at least! EDIT: Also this isnt including A Star Is Born as annoyingly that doesn’t show up on her chart history as it charted under Motion Picture Cast Recording!

f - Lady Gaga General Discussion (Part 2)
So it’s looking like the GMA thing was just a re-run! Still nothing concrete on what’s next for the era besides the tour. Seeing some “insiders” say Zombieboy music video in August and that’s the next single whilst others are saying How Bad Do U Want Me is a radio single in some territories. Nothing for the UK though typically on that front!

f - Lady Gaga General Discussion (Part 2)
Is there any news on what may be getting discussed on GMA tomorrow? I hope it's single news or a performance.
-
Sabrina Carpenter - Man’s Best Friend
It's getting a little bashing across socials but I actually like the album cover! I think this will keep her firmly in the pop princess of the moment title as well. Good move to not take ages to follow up what's been one hell of a breakthrough era for her. I do hope the rest of the album offers something slightly different. I'm here for her ballad moment now!

Mayhem ● 7th album
Near enough where it was on Monday last week! But a -3 drop at this stage with a lot of new entries this week (a busier week than last week right plus tour boosts from Sam Fender and Beyoncé! I think again it could climb come Friday and then whatever’s announced on Friday could boost it come next week! I just hope it stays ahead of The Fame for as long as possible 😆

Miley Cyrus - Something Beautiful
Honestly her team were ridiculous for not premiering the movie / the visuals at the same time as the album and by not having that as a second disc with the physical CD itself too!
-
Miley Cyrus - Something Beautiful
#49 in midweeks for week 2! Oh Miley! Really hope that this can be one of those albums where overtime it does well and certain tracks get a cult status ala Angels Like You. I really feel like there’s something really special about this project but it’s been handled in not the best way!
-
Abracadabra ● 3rd single
Hope it can return to the UK top 100 at some point even just in the lower regions but it’s now doing pretty well in the US and showing great longevity over there. It’s definitely been a hit though!

Rihanna - US Number One Singles Survivor 2025 - Round 4
Rude Boy and What’s My Name had my votes this time.

f - Lady Gaga General Discussion (Part 2)
Zombieboy is coming to smash but we have summer to get through first and I want to see something else get its moment before Wednesday! Come through Godga!
-
Rita Ora - Heat
The thing with Rita I’ve found lately is she’s not really artistically progressed through her career and obviously not everything has to be high art and sometimes the general public want a fun bop especially with summer looming but she’s still releasing music she could’ve put out a decade ago.

Mayhem ● chart topic
#52 in the UK this week! Just ahead of The Fame which was at #53! Hoping The Fame doesn’t overtake it this soon!
-
Miley Cyrus - Something Beautiful
#3 debut in the UK!
-
Rita Ora - Heat
From a commercial perspective everything seemed to to go downhill following that Birthday party of hers didn’t it!
-
Addison Rae - Addison
This really is strong isn’t it! It does feel very nostalgic but not in a dated way at all. Parts of it really remind me of the first time I ever delved into Madonna’s Music album as a whole album - the production really takes me back to that at times! Really also get a MARINA influence on this and shades of Britney throughout Britney and In The Zone eras. She’s really struck with this! What a strong debut too this feels like the sort of album someone would make like 3/4 albums in so excited to see where she heads off to next and what’s in store in the future. Main pop girlie energy for sure. Only thing for me id love some sort of extended version of the album in terms of track lengths! But even then nothing felt too abrupt and the album flowed perfectly too.

Rita Ora - Heat
Having heard it it’s not too eventful not necessarily bad but nothing we haven’t heard from her before (and done better previously).
-
Christina Aguilera - Bionic
At the time it unjustly had the biggest drop from #1 ever didn't it and I think it also had the lowest weekly sales of the 21st century for a #1 debut at the time of release as well🤣! In 2025 those sales and that week 2 for an artist on their 4th main era 10+ years into their career it wouldn't look too shabby! Promotion (or lack of) is what completely led to the album just not recovering though (but unfortunately with Xtina outside the US her last three eras all had the same fate of lack of actual knowledge across the GP there was an album out). I don't know the full details but there was rumours / hearsay on the album we got not being the original album and the release date was pushed back by quite a while too! Then obviously the tour was shelved and she moved onto Burlesque very quickly which after 4 years without a studio album felt like the era was just abandoned after the reception / sales. There's so many highlights on this album for me though and I really do feel parts of it actually are ahead of it's time! I always commend Xtina because from her debut to Stripped to Back to Basics to Bionic she always completely revitalised her image and sound and in that aspect I don't think she was credited enough.

Ed Sheeran - Sapphire
Ed by numbers esque but catchy enough. I much preferred the sound of his last two albums what felt a bit more of an authentic sound. Can see this next era for him doing decently though.
