I see what you mean here! As a Gaga Stan I probably wouldn’t have delved into jazz music as much as I do now but she brought that kind of music to me and I appreciate it with others now (I mean with her the majority of her jazz music has actually been covers) but similar mindsets!

Dermots had 2. #1 albums here so he does have the fan base (or released on quieter weeks). RAYE will likely get it though I’d say especially with goodwill around her and I think her team will push if sales are close. It could actually be Harry who’s her main competitor depending on how he holds (but this will be his week 4).

I’m also here for more top tier status males actually experimenting! On first listen I actually really like this. I predicted in the 2026 predictions thread he’d have a bigger follow up single to whatever was the lead commercially so I could see that happening but this will still be huge!

King Faraaz to win! I’m in the minority here clearly but Stephen to me is insufferable (reminds me a lot of someone who used to be in my life so mild PTSD there 😅) but he constantly looks so guilty going bright red all the time and the worried look of panic on his face. Rachel’s preferable but I still don’t root for her. I wouldn’t mind a faithfuls win if faraaz and Jade were among them but he’s suspicious of her 🫠 ! I still don’t think any result will be as bad as last years winners though.

Now we’re in 2026 and the tour is THIS year and with Ariana supposedly having the setlist all set. What are peoples dream setlist for Ariana’s upcoming tour? I’m currently devising mine based on what’s realistic as many of my faves from the past Ariana has outright said she doesn’t particularly like. Having a think but will be posting mine soon!

I’ve always loved Dermots voice! I don’t normally listen to males in his genre but there’s always been something about his vocal / the way in which he delivers tracks especially on ballads that I’ve always loved! So I’m here for another album from him!

Gaga is nominated at the 2026 BRITS in the International Artist category! They’ve also nominated Die With A Smile for Song (international song) I mean by Brits rules I thought this would’ve been for last years But I’ll take it!

It’s been shared online from the BRITs site I believe! Voting for song could be interesting depending on who it is that’s up for the award! I’m still 50/50 on fan voted for awards at big ceremonies but it does make things a bit exciting.

I hope Gaga somehow gets nominated in the category she’s eligible for but I’m not expecting anything. I’d love it if she was to return to the BRITS stage it’ll be 16 years since she last performed there! Still feel like Sam Fender will get the top award but I suspect Olivia Dean will also do well. It’s more interesting predicting with no male / female categories and a tougher fight for the awards.

The tracks on this album what I like I really like and then Pose and Higher are skips! Love On The Brain is one of my very favourites and I love how much it’s kinda become her signature ballad despite never charting in the UK! It’s still such a unique album in her discography I really remember the whole album taking its time to make an impression on me but I’d now put it around 4th on her discography! Keep ratings incoming!

I think the point that Sour Candy was making was more 2024 seen some gigantic hits and songs like Espresso, BIRDS OF A FEATHER and Beautiful Things for example (just within the UK) felt bigger? Shallow UK wise does feel bigger than Die With A Smile but both were / are massive UK hits though!

This is now on 92 weeks on the top 100 in the UK! One week away from tying what thank u, next spent on the top 100!

Wow! It’s been huge in the UK. Robbed of a week at #1 but I think the impacts undeniable. This is Bruno and Gaga’s third longest runner on the UK singles top 100 so far. It needs two more weeks to tie with Just The Way You Are to be his joint second (and three to overtake). Uptown Funk is his longest runner on 76 weeks. Shallow is still way ahead for Gaga here with 116 weeks top. 100, then Poker face has 84 (but in terms of just the top 40 Die With A Smile is actually on more weeks than both of those!).

Gaga now needs one more week in the singles top 75 to get to 700 weeks! She also now has 401 weeks with the top 40 with Die With A Smile returning to the top 40 this week.

So happy to see it back! I don’t think I’ll ever really tire of this song it’s one of the best examples of two icons coming together and it just working 🥰. In the age of faceless collabs these days and the digital world where the artists don’t even meet this just feels timeless and classic! I hope it gets a few more weeks top 40 before Bruno’s album bomb but even then could this end up still racking up more weeks after that like it’s never went anywhere globally 😅
