I know exactly how you feel. I moved from Hungary to Germany when I was 35 although not just because of the political situation of the country, but it had an influence on my choice. I moved 10 years ago to Germany and moved because of a work opportunity 4 years ago to Switzerland so I have to say I could reach in western Europe much more with hard work then in my home country I could ever reach... and this is a shame...
