  1. Gwen Duh!
  2. Well okay . . . but it feels a bit like cheating as I haven't actually heard the album! I never was one for the lying!

Can you merge this thread with the one in the Culture Box? cus there are posts being made in that one too.
  4. Ooh, it won't let me vote cus I don't know any albums - which is probably a bit of a travesty really - and it doesn't let me vote for just an episode and a single :( The whole series cracks me up. Song for Europe is emblazoned on my mind forever, and didn't the Divine Comedy actually write the song about the horse, or have I made that up? Which is the slightly dodgy episode with all the Third Reich references, cus that one crease me too.

  6. Thanks for taking the time to make such a thoughtful, balanced post ICR. For me, that was a privilege to read.

Well done Teresa, an accomplished and well-deserved win I'm really not sure if I'm going to bother with this again. The majority of people couldn't even spare me one measly point! I take it that I'm too 'out there' to make it 'in here' -_-
  8. Peaches Geldof says Madonna is irrelevant? Well, she should know -_-
  9. A voice in the wilderness  Thanks for your help. I had a look but couldn't find anything.
  10. True Colours, as it has been on my list the longest but closely followed by Time after Time, the beautiful World is Stone (and the amazing You Have to Learn to Live Alone B-side), That's What I Think and never forgetting Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. I love most of the rest of the too.

    It's all good then :P
  16. It could be because the late 80s was more of a transitional period. A lot of artists and groups from the early 80s are still fondly remembered. Don't forget that without a slightly dodgy transition period from the late 80s to the 90s we wouldn't have some of the acts we have today. Surely it's a spectrum . . .

So you stay on your side and I stay on mine? :( Ah, the great North / South divide. We're called The Midlands for a reason you know :P
  18. Where else can you get lyrics like ". . . Mommas in the kitchen, cookin' fried chicken, wishin that I hadn't done wrong"
  19. Right I've decided. Love Gwen and am sure the whole Sweet Escape album will be around in my regular playlist for years to come . . . but right how I'm giving it The Gossip cus atm, when I play it in the car with the window down it makes me feel like the absolute dogs b******* even though I only drive a cr@ppy old corsa :yahoo:
  20. I'm still back-to-back playing both and trying to decide. If I could hit all the beats with The Gossip I'd give it to them, but I'm not as young as I used to be -_-

Top 40 WITHOUT whoring -_- . . . although I would like to think I have something to do with Matt's new peaking
  22. You've been busy lol

  25. I wasn't sure where to ask this as none of the other threads seemed suitable, so I have made my own. I've recently got the Sweet Escape CD. I love the live Harajuku Lovers version of Wind it Up  Does anyone know if this exists as a studio as opposed to live version. Is it on the physical single? I have searched for it on the net but can't find it.
