It's an interesting subject but I don't really have the knowledge in this context. But I remember hearing about research into a 'cancer gene', so some people who smoke all their lives but don't have the cancer gene don't get cancer. I still think most things in life are both nature and nurture. I saw a programme once where identical twins were separated at birth and when they were re-united their lives had been like a mirror of one another. We're just complex beings . . . and all the better for it ^_^

It is a sad fact that as human beings often what we fear in ourselves, whatever that may be, we project outwards, make separate, detached and 'other' and then demonise it.

Without getting into the whole debate, we already know there are such things as recessive genes that produce different eye colour, hair colour etc. in offspring

I am in my 30s and don't have any children yet because the circumstances have never felt right. I would like to think I could leave my options open but there will be a point , taking a variety of factors into considersation, at which it will no longer be an option. . . . and lol, parents can still die before their children reach adulthood, no matter what age they have them :cry:
