I've just found out that BBC2 are running a series of short films about the NHS, and each one has been created using a different Coldplay track as the theme! I haven't seen them yet, but someone I know has the first one on tape. This is uncanny timing, but may bode well :)

Kinda scary though too, that level of mass propaganda - like something out of Animal Farm or 1984 :o

The Eurovision has ALWAYS been political, countries still obviously vote for their allies and blatantly ignore the best entry if it's from a country they've had any kind of clash with. And Terry Wogan doing his crazy commentary and trying to be diplomatic about it :lol: This is a really good thread. It's the first time I have EVER seen an interesting and informed discussion as a result of an article in The Sun! :lol: oh, and GO MIKA! :cheer:

:wub: Particularly liking that you have Tori in there (personal goddess) and Edie Brickell, although Shooting Rubberbands at the Stars was never quite the same for me after Emma Bunton got her little baby mits on What I Am. I'd probably pay around a tenner for it - nice handy compilation for the car, though I'd have to swerve to avoid Nine Million Bicycles. It would probably depend on the marketing as it would need to get my attention before I read the full track listing. I'd like to see what the cover looked like . . .

Only 2 top 20 entries from 'Back in the Day' . . . it's hardly ultimate, is it? Did they do a more complete top 75 or something, I would be interested to know what other tracks were in the running and where they came.

Doesn't the guitar riff in Baby Fratelli sound like a Fratellied version of Smells Like Teen Spirit though? Maybe that's why it's so catchy/familiar? Go on . . . go and listen to them both together! :lol:

Well my brother's just called to tell me my mom's asked for the old Kaiser Chiefs album cus she's recently bought the new one and she loves it! My mom is so cool. She is 61 this year!!! And there's me thinking of getting her 'X' Ray's rat-pack album :lol:
