How are (and when did) the Goo Goo Dolls back up to #24?!
  5. Yep, they used to do a performance at the end of every show - the only reason I tuned in!
  6. There's not a chance in hell she's gonna be #8 IMO - in fac I think the highest shell be is #10 but I genuinely think she's gonna end up at #11 and continue her "#1 or not top 10" streak

The gap was as close as 0.005 at 6pm ish as there is now another version of MLJ on the rise and that coupled with the weekend effect wear off was causing the top version to fall at a faster rate than Charlene even though she'd lost the top 10 effect. Looks like MLJ will stay top 10 now as the gap is over 0.02

I think with the weekend effect they'll move back ahead of LMFAO, Charlene and Gusher and will be @ #6 on iTunes when all the new entries hit the top 10 - so its gonna need 5 new entries in the top 10 this coming Sunday to push it out.

Lets not forget though that Stomp managed to stop that god-awful "Who Let The Dogs Out" from getting #1.

I was thinking the same - given sales at the top of the chart have increased by (what?) 100% over the last 5 years, its a bit silly to use an average of the last 5 years as its a constant moving target - surely it would be better if the author has access to iTunes sales data to gross up to actual sales (as posted by music week), say, the iTunes sales for the top 10 from last week (or the last 5 weeks) and apply that "% gross up from iTunes sales -> actual sales" to the iTunes sales data from Monday-Friday that the author has access to.
  16. Delighted with a narrow win to maintain the lead at the top!

  19. See the 4th word of ur post.
  20. Yeah, that was my understanding, but like u I find it strange to believe that the X Factor final is 10th/11th December as that would be 2 weeks before Xmas The only way I could see the XF producers going with 10th/11th December for the final, knowing Xmas chart was the chart announced on 25th, was if they were determined to have the final at Wembley but could only get it the weekend of the 10th/11th.
  21. I asked this exact question on D'S as I thought the chart would be the 25th but that didn't align with the proposed date of the X Factor final and I was told that Wembley (for the X Factor Final) is booked on the 11th/12th December only (some other act has it booked the following weekend) and that the Xmas chart is announced on the 18th.
  22. Scissor Sisters top of this?!

Hope Jessie J can hang onto the top spot through to the end of the year, but its gonna be close - Adele will probably overtake sometime late Novemeber/early December :(
