  1. Let me guess, each of those songs includes a rapper and/or is predominantly urban sounding. :P
  2. Boooo at Celine, Boyzone, B*witched, Billie and Aqua missing out :( :( +15 Steps ‘Heartbeat/Tragedy’ (awesome chart run; not my favourite Steps song but I’m a huge fan so its going at #1 :cheer:) +12 Blondie ‘Maria’ My ‘Mario 64’ song :o +10 Boyzone ‘When The Going Gets Tough’ (despite keeping Steps from #1 () +8 Britney Spears ‘Baby One More Time’ +6 S Club 7 ‘Bring It All Back’ +5 Ricky Martin ‘Livin’ La Vida Loca’ (again, despite keeping Steps from #1 :() +4 Ronan Keating ‘When You Say Nothing At All’ +3 Christina Aguleria ‘Genie In A Bottle’ +2 Five ‘Keep On Movin’ +1 Geri Halliwell ‘Lift Me Up’ -2 911 ‘A Little Bit More’ Steps ain't gonna qualify this time :( But what a great year for #1’s!!! Loved most of them; this was really hard.
  3. That's right. Knew he was on a Burke single! Too many rappers! :feint:
  4. Wasn't he also featured on Start Without You?
  5. I'm still on the fence with JCGE. I really like Fergie's bits, especially the ways she pronounces some of the words (e.g. in the American Idol performance) but not sure about the rest. I think I need to hear it some more as it probably just hasn't clicked. On The Floor, on the other hand, I've had on repeat the last 2 days (the J-Lo only version Regina kindly linked me too). Its easily my second favourite song of the year, behind Jessie's Price Tag. Hope it gets #1, even if only for a week, as it is too good IMO to miss out.
  6. +15 Boyzone ‘No Matter What’ +12 Celine Dion ‘My Heart Will Go On (Theme From “Titanic”)' +10 Baddiel Skinner and Lightining Seeds ‘Three Lions ‘98’ (as much as I cannot stand the Eng-er-lund footie team :puke:, this was a great song) +8 Cher ‘Believe’ +6 Billie Piper ‘Because We Want To' +5 B*Witched ‘C’est La Vie’ +4 All Saints ‘Never Ever’ +3 Spice Girls ‘Goodbye’ +2 Aqua ‘Doctor Jones’ +1 Spice Girls ‘Viva Forever’ -2 Robbie Williams ‘Millennium’
  7. Wonder if Glee could FINALLY knock Adeles RITD out the top 10?
  8. SECTION A 35 Cee Lo Green – Bright Lights Bigger City 76+ Chris Brown ft. Benny Benassi – Beautiful People 65 Chris Brown ft. 9. 01. Adele - SLY 02. Nicole - DHYB 03. Wanted - GF 04. Jessie - PT 05. Wiz - B&Y 06. Rihanna - S&M 07. BEP - JCGE 08. Adele - RITD 09. Dr. Dre - INAD 10. Snoop Dogg - Sweat #1 Jessie J - DILAD #2 5 #3 The Strokes Not brave enough to put Kay and Boyle in, I'll end up regretting that!
  10. Don't get too close then :P
  11. JCGE millimetres away from entering the top 10 and knocking GaGa out :o :o Nicole's album version of DHYB in @ #92 and not having any significant effect on the main version @ #2 yet. Album version should peak at approximately #20 based on current performance which will be neck and neck with Adele's BRITs version. Could be an interesting race for the #1 spot this week then between Adele, Nicole and Peter Kay.
  12. That's actually one of my favourite parts. Who could forget the dry humping of the bass speaker on just about every live performance.
  13. She Wolf is one of my favourite tracks of last year.
  14. Do you mean you thought there was 11 years in a decade?! :P ;) (e.g. 2000-2009, plus 2010)
  15. Which song spliced Shakira's chart run?
  16. I agree, in that respect, a sale is a sale.
  17. As chart wizard says, its not physicals per se [i.e. CD singles] - its a DVD which is an entirely different kettle of fish.
  18. Agree 100%.
  19. 3rd (and more likely possibility) = Peter Kay / Comic Relief @ #1.
  20. I agree with that actually. I can't call it - there are so many variables:- 1. Nicole should now start to see her weekend effect reduction fade, which should boost her back up; 2. Nicole's album version is out, which typically impacts on the performance of the single version; 3. Adele's SLY used to suffer from the weekend effect, now I'm not so sure - it probably benefits to some extent; 4. Adele's CR effect will be lost quickly over the course of the next couple of days 5. Adele currently has the iTunes #1 so will be benefiting from that (although this is her 2nd/3rd run at iTunes #1 therefore the boost will be diluted). Effect on popularity bars:- 1. Nicole 2. Nicole 3. Adele 4. Adele 5. Adele Only one thing is for certain, The Unwanted are going to plummet away from both Nicole and Adele :cheer:
  21. Its 100% not stupid Jonjo; I've not done any of the results this year so far, so have an 11 or 12 week catch up when I finally get around to it. A combination of work and helping my g/f do her honours psychology essays/reports/dissertations has meant I've just not had the time to devote to it; I've been struggling even to post the weekly prediction list. Many thanks to everyone who has continued playing in the absence of the results, as that is half the fun - I'll endeavour to get the results compiled from next Monday.
  22. Spiidey's Chart Singles Prediction Game Chart Sunday 27th March 2011 :cheer: :yahoo:  :cheer: WEEK 12 IN 2011!!! The predictions are broken down into two sections:- SECTION A In this section, you will predict where 14 songs are going to be in the following Sunday's Top 75 chart. In this section, you should predict for each song a position between 1 and 75 based on where you think that song will chart within the Top 75. If you think the song will chart outside the top 75 (i.e. position 76 or lower) you should use the notation "75+". The point scoring for these 14 songs is:- 10 pts if spot on with your prediction (therefore a maximum of 140 points to play for in this section);9 pts if your prediction is out by 1 position, 8 pts if your prediction is out by 2 positions, down to 1 pt if your prediction is out by 9 positions and zero points if your prediction is out by 10 or more positions; If you think a song will not make the Top 75, you can predict that song to be 75+ (i.e. any position outwith the top 75). If this is correct, you will get 5 points; If a song charts in a position between 76-84 (e.g. 77), and you have predicted that song to chart at a position between 67-75 (e.g. 70), you will still score the "normal" points - in the example given, you would score 3 pts;If a new single is pulled from release or non-chart eligible then everyone's prediction for that question will be void and everyone will be awarded 5 points;Due to physical singles sales declining I have scrapped the old rule of awarding points should the physical release be postponed so long as the download release goes ahead as scheduled.+ SECTION B In this section, you will predict the answer to THREE bonus questions (by answering i., ii., iii. or iv. for question 1, and "Yes" or "No" for questions 2 and 3). Each bonus question is worth 20 Pts (therefore giving a maximum of 60 points from this section). Therefore there will be a maximum of 200 Points [140 points in Section A, and 60 points in Section B] to gain. ============================================================ THE PREDICTIONS:- Sales Period: Sunday 20th March – Saturday 26th March SECTION A Cee Lo Green – Bright Lights Bigger City Chris Brown ft. Any other [does not need to be specified] Bonus #2: Will Snoop Dogg & David Guetta – Sweat be higher than The Black Eyed Peas – Just Can’t Get Enough in the chart? Each Game counts towards the Overall Leaderboard (The Best 48 Games). Whilst I will maintain the last 6 weeks Leaderboard for newer players If you have never played in previous years, then here is a great opportunity to join in the fun! :cheer:
  23. :o You must be a student?! :P
  24. Clearly your sense of humour hasn't matured. Anyway, its hardly accusing them of anything derogatory. Furthermore, the reason I was making the post is simply because their CR effect should now have dropped out of their 48 hour pop bar, so its odd that they're still #1 on iTunes. Whether I like them or not (and quite clearly I don't; but I certainly don't dislike them so much as to hate them) is irrelevant.
  25. How the feck is GF still #1 on iTunes? It musn't have updated .... :S
