Does this need 3-4 years? Also he was back st some time. Maybe the issue is also mental?

Westlife
This is a happy update, with sad details and sad colours… i dont get it and i wonder why the issues with mark are so mysterious for the last 3-4 years…

A few of them sound like they are high

Westlife
Unfortunately we dont have any info on those albums. I would guess they are at around 200k for spectrum and maybe 120k for Wild dreams

Westlife
IF I LET YOU GO becomes their 8th Platinum single! What's more interesting is that they only had 2 platinum singles during their breakup! That means it overcame the 3 below songs: Based on March 2021 sales, it sold a further 142k in almost 4 years. Average around 3k per month. March 2021: 7. MARIAH CAREY FT WESTLIFE -- AGAINST ALL ODDS :: 490k [averaging a bit over 2k per month ] Est: 585k 8. WESTLIFE -- WHAT MAKES A MAN :: 470k 9. WESTLIFE -- WHAT ABOUT NOW :: 459k [averaging almost 2k per month] Est: 540k 10. WESTLIFE -- IF I LET YOU GO :: 458k I wonder if those stream sales change the record of the artists in terms of sales / records or something that makes sense.

Streaming Services Chart Discussion
Will we ever get any stats of streams per country? Like total streams but also split by country..

Is there a week in chart history you would like to relive?
There was nothing funny for a cartoon to break the amazing streak of Westlife. As for them i doubt they were cocky, they took a huge risk by releasing a completely irrelevant song, post the album, to compete for the xmas #1. They could have released it few weeks later and their streak would reach double digits. Well done to Westlife. #14

Ridiculous Collaborations
One of the most successful singers of the 90s with the most successful pop band of the 00s. Westlife welcomed Mariah into this era and handed her a UK #1, they would anyway have had without her. Westlife on the other hand had no gain from this collaboration.

Biggest flop single ever?
Westlife - Lighthouse. With majority of their singles being #1 and all of them in the Top 10 for like 13 years, this one which was considered their last ever single, peaked at around #32 I think, and that was before streaming took over.

The UK charts are broken
there are no UK charts without Westlife Robbie Williams etc

Classic Christmas charts: 2000
I think the story would be different if Westlife made the No1 with what makes a man, the same way it would be different if Fool Again missed the no1 too. If WMAM went to #1 they would have like debut/consecutive 11 #1 singles, which would have been extremely crazy…

UK Singles: Chart Runs and Sales
Jay can you explain when MTV is disclosing any sales? And if that is, are they somewhere posted where I can go and observe anything? You know why I am talking about, I keep huge records, any information would be really really appreciated.. ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️

UK Singles: Chart Runs and Sales
Honestly whats the point of OCC keeping any song’s total sales for themselves? It doesnt male sense does it?
-
If streaming was around in the late 90s/early 2000s
Westlife could have gone to #1 with their physical sales on some occasions. 14.
-
If streaming was around in the late 90s/early 2000s
Thats correct, but they would have sold twice as many. Westlife forever
-
#1 Sales Less Than 40K
Pretty sure the date of this week’s #1 is wrong 😇

2024 BPI Certifications
The change should be different to maintain the consistency with previous eras… either the streams should be downweighted when someone returns and replays the song either constantly or even after years, or downweight them when a song is old enough… for example whats the point of forever crediting all i want for xmas millions of streams every year when most of them are the same people Returning to it…

New UK award for artists with a billion career streams
I wonder if legendary band Westlife crossed the billion streams, or if they are close to it…. Their top 10 streamed songs were played more than 20m times, with their 3 biggests been streamed around 50-60 million times.. but their catalog is huge and there should be many songs with a few million plays there…

Boy Bands - BPI Certifications (Singles & Albums) [including duos, non-pop acts]
I think take that got a new certification last week.

What one song would you like to see in the Top 40 right now?
It is indeed a classic of their 2.0 era… great song for me, it’s missing the addiction their older tunes from the 00 had…. I hope it will be certified at some point in the future…
