Then thats exactly what I am saying, but thats not the case… songs of today get the same certification awards, no1’s have the same meaning, official singles chart have the same meaning but its not…. Also how about artists existing in both eras (like the legendary Westlife)?!? They are either killed or revived. The inconsistency is there and it doesnt look like this will be settled in any way.

that's how i explained it.... whats the point if 80% of the people streaming Last Christmas are the same people every year? does this represent sales? If we want to have a sales chart then that's not what it is.... Let's create a streaming chart and let go of all ACR rules etc..... And how does this compare to older eras, and legendary artists like The Beatles and Westlife?

this is not literally ACR cause 3 month songs have the same ration with 30 year old songs.

in this sense i think older songs should have less sale per stream ratio since the same people stream the same song over and over again...

I doubt Westlife are trying to avoid anyone by postponing the album for 3 months.. Apparently its a scheduling issue or something else... They had a big seller album in 2021 and didnt even try avoiding Adele, released one week later and missed another deserved No.1

Mark's story is a sad one and reminds us again that nothing is for granted in this world but also do as much as you are still strong and healthy. I wish he will be a winner out of all this and see them again as a four piece performing at some point cause the possibility of never happening again is there..
