whats the point of releasing the audio weeks before the video? Westlife did it twice, i didnt get it, in both times the song chart very low or not at all, and their video never really had any stream success....

Guys a few clarifications... How can we find the total streams of a certain song? I guess all versions of the song (live,official audio, official video, acoustic etc) are counted right? Also I know spotify and youtube disclose the total streams of each song, do the rest of the streaming platforms show those numbers? Which are the rest official platforms? Lastly, any platform or tool differentiate streams per country?

Looks like Swear It Again is certified PLATINUM last week (600.000 units) [last update in March 2021 - WESTLIFE -- SWEAR IT AGAIN :: 516k] 2.5 years later adds an extra 84k, which averages 2.8k per month, 600-700 units per week. Also they are enjoying an amazing tour in China at the moment selling out stadiums.

They released 2 albums in the last 4 years. If the fans did not make it a huge commercial success, what are you asking for? To pay for their own music? Its almost impossible for 90’s boybands to be sustainable today and Westlife did more than almost every other artist under the same category. I was a proud fan 20 years ago and still am. Thats how the business runs its not their fault everybody consumes ed sheeran and taylor swift

I wonder how is it possible for Westlife’s Uptown Girl not being certified 2x platinum yet…. It needed 86k 18 months ago and that year it was shifting ~7k every month… since then they released an album and went on a long UK tour including Wembley and xmas concerts…
