Jay can you tell us the total sales of Hello My Love as of today, 26th April. It had a minor push after Mr Brown.... It must be around 185-190k, not sure how close to silver we are...

feels like the same recording but with different instruments... thats the way its supposed to be for acoustic versions? :P

I would say (almost) the same thing even if a woman was doing a similar video... But yes if that makes a point, I find it strange for a man to pretend like a lady, and adding all those strange stuff in a video which is supposed to be watched by everyone. It's ok to be gay there is no need to provoke.

no offence here, Will young looks like an interesting person and his new song is a good pop modern song, but the music video is terrible and sucks....

Take That comeback was in different terms. They had a really good and strong song, but it was pushed by media and x factor a lot and was released in an era that not only streaming was out of the picture but even downloads weren't having that much of impact. Also they came in to compete with some acts who were in the scene for years, westlife, leona, robbie williams, eminem.. The rest of the US imported artists didn't have any power with no streaming. Consider also that Take That are british while WL are irish, so the push and the attention is totally different, the same way Westlife are superior in Ireland and I assum North Ireland.

Total sales of Better Man (including streams) at 20.000... Challenging Lighthouse for least successful single of the band... On the other side Hello My Love reached 178k units in the UK :)

unfortunately their debut album under-performed in charts and stopped at #2, otherwise we would be talking for 4 decades now....

ANyone can do this if they had a #1 album in 2009 and one in 2010, so...

Why? is it a big achievement to have no.1 albums in 2 different decades? :unsure:

It's not so simple, it's the culture now, even the acts are urging their fans to stream... You can't change the culture of the whole country... To reach the top only with sales, it only happened during xmas week last year, but it was xmas week.. Take that are bigger than Westlife currently in the UK, probably due to the fact they are english, or due to media backing, so even if TT reached the no.1, a top 5 for Westlife, which would be deserved and justified, (no1 in physicals, no2 in sales 2nd highest new entry). That would even give motivation to th
