  1. Thanks for posting Hasso , sounds great ! I wish I was there . :yahoo:
  2. Gareth is performing today, he should just about be finishing his set at 5pm , so maybe we'll have news soon :cheer:
  3. Thanks Lesley :)
  4. I enjoyed the programme last night , I used to enjoy Swapshop at the time, but it looked a bit tame looking back at it. I also liked Tiswas :yahoo:
  5. It was great to see Gareth back on TV for the documentary , but I was disappointed they showed such a tiny part of the gig . Those ballady songs are really good, and show Gareth has a great voice , but I don't know why they didn't show any of the rockier stuff with the guitars , much more my cup of tea , the songs we did hear were the only ballads we heard at the gig , the rest were much stronger . I hope we get to see the gig or at least the other tracks during Gareth's promotion <_<
  6. Sugababes :)
  7. Thanks for the info that Gareth's Documentary is being shown Sat 23rd December 7.30 ITV1 . I'm really looking forward to it, and hope they show plenty of Gareth's new songs from the album :cheer:

There are so many tribute acts around now , I don't like them. They should do their own music. I saw a really c**p Robbie Williams :puke2:
  9. Thanks Hasso, Gareth is looking good , and he always has times for his fans . I haven't heard when the documentary is being shown yet, but it should be soon :D
  10. I went last night . I went as a guest of a ticket winner . Gareth was very surprising, All the songs were great. His voice sounded very different , it was very strong , his performance was more mature than when I last saw him perform. The gig was held in a private club , his fans were ranged mainly 18 to 30's both sexes . That album is going to be a winner ! :cheer: I saw both Simon Fuller and Nicky Chapman at the gig.

Was reading they have reissued George's Living In The Material World :) Must-have reissue GEORGE HARRISON: Living in the Material World (Apple/Parlophone) George Harrison’s first post-Beatles album, All Things Must Pass, had a job to do: to prove that there were three brilliant songwriters in that band, not just two. That done, he was then free to pursue the life he wanted — moving ever further from fame, the charts and all that nonsense. His next album, Living in the Material World, was therefore lighter on production and hits — although both it and the pretty Give Me Love reached No 1. Harrison will always be too preachy for some, but if you can cope with a rich man telling you that you don’t need money, there’s plenty here to enjoy. His slide-guitar work is wonderful, and songs such as Try Some, Buy Some, The Day the World Gets ’Round and Don’t Let Me Wait Too Long reach gorgeous peaks. ME

This was in the local Bradford Paper :D Bradford singing sensation Gareth Gates is to hit the limelight again in a documentary to be screened this autumn. The pop idol star is baring his soul to the cameras five years after he shot to fame at the tender age of 17. Gareth 22, is taking part in a documentary about his life and music that he hopes will help re-launch his career. It has been created by award-winning Century Films and will be broadcast later this year. The programme is being billed as "an intimate portrayal" of Gareth, told in his own words. The makers say it will chart his rollercoaster career from chart topper to celebrity under pressure in the competitive music industry. Gareth said "To sell over a million singles at just 17 is so many people's dream and it happened to me, With all the advice and support in the world nothing prepares you for the pressures and personal development that comes with that. The past 5 years have been a real rollercoaster and i hope this show gives people the chance to see the real me." Gareth has sold more than 3 million singles in the UK, including the second best selling single of 2002, Unchained Melody. The documentary showcases some of his new music as he prepares to re-launch his pop career. Gareth was brought up in Bradford and is a keen Bradford Bulls supporter. He was head chorister at Bradford Cathedral by the age of 11 and achieved Grade 8 in piano, classical guitar and singing. He gained a place at the Royal Northern Collage of Music before entering Pop Idol. Gareth was runner-up on the first series and signed to record label BMG. His first single, a cover version of Unchained Melody, knocked Will Young's Evergreen off the top of the chart. It was voted 2002's Record of the Year by ITV viewers. Gareth was at the height of his popularity in 2002, with Smash Hits magazine declaring November 7th International Gareth Day. He has since had a part in the film Seeing Double and increased his charity work, promoting AIDS awareness through a charity concert to 50,000 people in Indonesia. While working on his comeback album in April this year, Gareth parted company with his record label. (Reporter Jenny Loweth)

In the 60's I loved Jimmy Saville who I met a few times . 70's my favs were Johnny Walker, Kenny Everet and Ed Stewart. 80's Steve Wright 90's Chris Evans 00's my local radio presenters ( Pulse Radio ) worst are Sara Cox, Zoe Ball, Noel Edmonds and Mike Reid .
  23. Thanks Lesley, I have only just read this as I have been away for a while x ' I've just looked at my answers and noticed i put STOP for No.4. I've no idea why as i knew that song.' I've done that before now
  24. I am really looking forward to Gareth's return to the music scene, I hope we don't have too much longer to wait . I have every confidence that Gareth will have taken time out to produce an excellent album , especially as he is playing his drums and guitar (I heard that from more a credible source than Joe Mott ). We know that Gareth has been helping fellow stammers and instructed his own course, which is great, but I think the documentary will be very interesting , and not just about how he has overcome his stammer . :D
