Competition for what, the No.36 spot?!? :P Only kidding, will probably do alright but third release from album is unlikely to chart that high.

More to the point.....what song is Peter Kay gonna pop up with, putting the "official" song to shame?

Oh dear....I sense "Walk This Way" level of sales....... If you're gonna go down the cheesy cover route, at least choose a cheesy song to cover.

At the end of the day, these "consecutive run" records will continue to appear but most of them will have footnotes or exceptions, ie *excluding album tracks or *excluding unofficial singles or, in Girls Aloud's case, *excluding one single which we don't count because it didn't make Top 10 :wacko: As I have said before, artists charting album tracks or unofficial singles are probably proud of the fact that they are popular enough to do so and don't give a damn about "records". It is just the obssessive fans (you know who you are!) who care.

Whose song do you count it as then?? :P

I think it is quite a compliment to Peter Kay's charitable output that you assume all his releases are for charity......

Thanks for the intelligent response. News is news whatever it happens to be about whether its about war, politics or the music charts, I would argue that the point is the same. To not want an update because it might be "boring" is ridiculous. If you don't like then do as the majority of people say and don't read it, in the same way you wouldn't buy a newspaper.

I couldn't agree less. Do you think we should only publish newspapers twice a week because too much news is boring?!?! :wacko:
