If we’re getting an orchestral album - I’m completely here for it! The first 2 albums were stellar. ‘Love Goes’ was such a disappointment for me though. After Dancing with, How feel & TDF, I was hooked on the sound.. but something went wrong after that for me :-)

She’s not over in any way, shape or form :lol: But I do think she may have to add new tracks in order to achieve many more sales.. either that or release and properly promote ‘To be loved’

She did. I assume (maybe wrongly) it’s because she felt uncomfortable because of the vegas thing.. altho, I don’t know why anyone who never had tickets are that fussed. I was much more bothered when my final night at Wembley was cancelled!

For me .. I only really like the album from ‘Oh my god’ onwards… (apart from easy on me - I love it) The other songs I really wish she hadn’t put on the album :-/

I really think some perspective is needed here : The market isn’t what it was when 25 released so anybody expecting a repeat of that .. well, was always going to be disappointed. Her whole album is top 12 on Spotify .. and her lowest song has been streamed 419,000 times - if a SINGLE by another artist managed those number we’d all be calling it a success.. and these are album tracks. So I’m really unable to understand the people calling any of this a disappointment. We’ve had one of the biggest bands and 2 of the biggest solo starts of our generation all managing roughly the same ish.. - they’re not underperforming - they’re performing very well for the current climate. Because it has changed. End of. IMO Also - she’s had her peak era. So has Ed .. people generally have that peak in their career - they can’t keep performing the same forever

I’ve spent the past however many years stanning her… it’s changed alot over the past year or so with the lack of output.. so I havnt at all been interested by this ‘re-release’ .. 2 songs and a new cover, just doesn’t seem right.. but I’ve just listened to ‘If I can’t have you’ and I think it’s so beautiful. Re-ignited my love for her !

‘Can I get It’ & ‘Hold On’ are early favourites from me. But right now ‘To Be Loved’ is the absolute stand-out for me… just listening to it is making me so emosh! And I really like ‘I Drink Wine’ now I’ve heard the studio version. On first listen, it’s not up there with 21 or 25 for me. They were just so instant, there’s some real crackers on here.. but some that i need to listen to a few more times

She’s just performed ‘to be loved’ on Instagram. I’m actually crying. Blown away I feel like this and ‘Hold On’ are going to be such MOMENTS for me

I’ve just quickly watched the 3 new ones - and they’re all fantastic. I love her lyrics. She’s a story teller.. a story teller of heartbreak hahahah. Even more excited to have that album on Friday now 🥰

I’m so surprised by how well ‘Red’ streamed on day 1! I wonder how much of a drop in sales there will be for Abba.. potential for Taylor to be #1? I’m even more surprised I was able to actually find the streaming numbers from yesterday in this messy ridiculous post/thread. & this is the thing. His sales are still extremely good in the current climate. If he was another artist people would most likely be impressed. Can’t say I’m not surprised it isn’t doing more this week though. I was expecting him to clear 250k with ease.. But like you say, he is always a consistent seller and I can’t envisage this era being any different, so he will sell and stream plenty in the end I’m sure

I’ve got to be honest .. the hypocrisy doesn’t sit right with me here.. Times have moved on, but as mentioned above - The Hollyoaks calenders. & let’s be really honest here, it’s a show that has historically used sex as a selling point. So this whole thing doesn’t seem right. I do get the argument about it being a show with a young audience.. but it’s only a year ago that certain cast members were accused of being racially insensitive and yet didn’t publicly receive any kind of ‘punishment’ ( for want of a better word) So yeah.. none of this sits right with me.. especially as it’s her body and her choice..
