I really think some perspective is needed here : The market isn’t what it was when 25 released so anybody expecting a repeat of that .. well, was always going to be disappointed. Her whole album is top 12 on Spotify .. and her lowest song has been streamed 419,000 times - if a SINGLE by another artist managed those number we’d all be calling it a success.. and these are album tracks. So I’m really unable to understand the people calling any of this a disappointment. We’ve had one of the biggest bands and 2 of the biggest solo starts of our generation all managing roughly the same ish.. - they’re not underperforming - they’re performing very well for the current climate. Because it has changed. End of. IMO Also - she’s had her peak era. So has Ed .. people generally have that peak in their career - they can’t keep performing the same forever

I’ve spent the past however many years stanning her… it’s changed alot over the past year or so with the lack of output.. so I havnt at all been interested by this ‘re-release’ .. 2 songs and a new cover, just doesn’t seem right.. but I’ve just listened to ‘If I can’t have you’ and I think it’s so beautiful. Re-ignited my love for her !

‘Can I get It’ & ‘Hold On’ are early favourites from me. But right now ‘To Be Loved’ is the absolute stand-out for me… just listening to it is making me so emosh! And I really like ‘I Drink Wine’ now I’ve heard the studio version. On first listen, it’s not up there with 21 or 25 for me. They were just so instant, there’s some real crackers on here.. but some that i need to listen to a few more times

She’s just performed ‘to be loved’ on Instagram. I’m actually crying. Blown away I feel like this and ‘Hold On’ are going to be such MOMENTS for me

I’ve just quickly watched the 3 new ones - and they’re all fantastic. I love her lyrics. She’s a story teller.. a story teller of heartbreak hahahah. Even more excited to have that album on Friday now 🥰

I’m so surprised by how well ‘Red’ streamed on day 1! I wonder how much of a drop in sales there will be for Abba.. potential for Taylor to be #1? I’m even more surprised I was able to actually find the streaming numbers from yesterday in this messy ridiculous post/thread. (Yep, that’s me throwing shade at a lot of you above ^ .. give it all a rest now.

& this is the thing. His sales are still extremely good in the current climate. If he was another artist people would most likely be impressed. Can’t say I’m not surprised it isn’t doing more this week though. I was expecting him to clear 250k with ease.. But like you say, he is always a consistent seller and I can’t envisage this era being any different, so he will sell and stream plenty in the end I’m sure

I’ve got to be honest .. the hypocrisy doesn’t sit right with me here.. Times have moved on, but as mentioned above - The Hollyoaks calenders. & let’s be really honest here, it’s a show that has historically used sex as a selling point. So this whole thing doesn’t seem right. I do get the argument about it being a show with a young audience.. but it’s only a year ago that certain cast members were accused of being racially insensitive and yet didn’t publicly receive any kind of ‘punishment’ ( for want of a better word) So yeah.. none of this sits right with me.. especially as it’s her body and her choice..

We have the new song… so the pre-order is for songs we already have and 1 new song which is a cover. Very disappointing.. and I usually stan her with everything.. New song is okay.. but obviously not in the same class as ‘One More Sleep’

I just can’t get over or stop watching that trailer.. the setting on that concert.. and her voice.. and how incredible she looks..! Honestly, the whole thing looks perfection! Even with Oprah.. 👀🤭🤣 She’s got that star power like no other in my lifetime

I probably haven't got a massively high opinion of her with regards to all the other stuff happening. But I really don’t think there’s anything actually wrong with saying there’s no bad blood from her side. She can’t speak on behalf of the other girls.. and saying there’s no bad blood at all would probably just be a down right lie.. and it’s a good way of answering the question so that she doesn’t have to go into any further detail - which I think is the right thing to do. We’re all such haters.. and it’s all just so sad. As much as I don’t think ‘Boyz’ is good in any way.. I feel like we would all still be supporting her more like we have with the other 3 and the also terrible L(SL) - if we weren't all so focused on this feud. It’s all just a massive shame.

Leona has been announced as a judge on the upcoming Paramount+ series ‘Queen of the Universe’ starts in December. She’s judging alongside Michelle Visage and a couple of others. Graham Norton hosts. I’m assuming Paramount+ is a US thing? Does anybody know how we’ll be able to watch this in the UK?

Well, congrats to them.. they ended it very well I thought. And I really loved the credits. Infact, the credits were my favourite part of the episode .. Fantastic series and I’ll miss it

I’ve gone 450.. with the way the current climate is - I really don’t think 800,000 is achievable again.. but as the same time, this is Adele .. her popularity and the curiosity of people is pretty immense.. and, if anybody could surprise us with the sales/volume of streams - I think it’s her. Never underestimate the icon that is Adele ! ;-)

I get that Coldplay might not be the music of choice for a lot of the people of this forum. But seriously, they’ve been a long-time popular, high-selling, highly attended band.. the numbers are higher than I expected .. but no way is it that much of a stretch or surprise and the singles feel like they have been much better received than when compared with the previous era. There absolutely was buzz, and it’s been there all year. The music is still good imo, the reviews are not terrible .. and they’re bossing it this week

70,000 is fantastic. Can we use this to project for the rest of the week? And am I right in thinking that if she beats 226,000 (which I’m assuming she won’t do) .. she’ll have the best selling singles week since Hello back in 2015?
