Nice to see "the second life" for Remember Monday.

Firstly I wanted to select female singer (she is Dutch Youtuber), but it's predictable "bloodbath". Group (and Male too) category looks more welcomed for low-known acts.

"Can't Speak French" and "No Good Advice" also were fantastic choices, But both were praised so much in my countdowns that's why I didn't any comment here. Also I wish to refresh "All-time top 100 girl groups songs" and do "upgraded 2.0" version in the end of 2025. The previous version was compiled in 2020 year. Based on those things which I did in last 5 years possibly you will see even more low-known groups than in already obscure previous countdown.

John, possibly you will be suprised, but for Streisand "Promises" (flopped US single) was almost on the same level with "Woman In Love" in my chart. Anita Dobson deserved that # 1. She already had # 2 and # 3 hits. So full top 3 mission was completed. Sandie didn't release many singles in GD days, her most successful song is "Frederick" (1986) (# 93 in UK, but 4 weeks at # 1 in my chart).

11th March 2000 : Madonna - American Pie (1 week at # 1) Rating : 8 / 10 UK chartrun : 1-2-5-8-11-17-27-34 In my chart "American Pie" debuted at # 7, climbed to the second place and was stopped by "Bag It Up". I don't know how much # 1 singles (especially in 80s) Madonna had before, but the original "American Pie" also was # 1 in this cycle. "Sitting Down Here" spent 5 weeks at # 1, but in "Imaginary UK version" I always will confirm the first place, if the winner was a hit in Gražios Dainos". From all singles my main favourite is super cute "My Sweet Rosalie". BoM have a good chances join to a small club of acts, who had 10 or more # 1 hits in "GD". On the first looking only 8 acts did it (ABBA, Madonna, Twiggy, YVA, Britney, Blondie, Brotherhood of Man, Kim Wilde).

Yes, that site is a treasure, but blocked in my country. Possibly it's a main reason, because I didn't start any "GD" charts for this beautiful decade. Based on my music preferences 70s is almost as good as 2000s, but many my favourites had flopped singles. Based on a quality of music my rate is possibly : 2000s = 1970s > 1980s > 1990s. But 90s charts are easiest for compiling and 1970s are the hardest one. New Seekers is the next act in my Singles discography rankings (after Girls Aloud) so I will listen / re-listen them more attentive.

Whigfield possibly will reach the top in 1996 year with "Sexy Eyes". Olivia is a strong contender for the next # 1. I love cheesiest version of "Saturday Night" performed by Sindy. (# 70 in UK chart in 1996 year).
