Šarka Members : Kristina Ivanova (blonde), Gintare Valaityte (ginger), Ieva Stasiulevičiute (brunette) Active years : 2012-2013 I wanted to start this topic with the introduction of Big 4, but found amazing song from 2012 year, which didn't know before. Šarka was a short lived Lithuanian girl group, which was created by three members from YVA 3.0 line-up. This song was recorded for Mother's Day. Suprisingly it's very good song with a nice melody and lyrics. I'm a big fan of YVA and Kristina, but all other Šarka songs were weak. Wf1XYXOS7Uw But possibly you will like "Heyo" more :

Possibly it's my least favourite Buzzjack compilation so far. Two OK Eurovision songs on French from CD4. Liene Candy's cover version of O-Zone hit was # 1 in my chart for 3 weeks. 0YU-1NQOCms Also I love LaFee tribute to Falco (Rock Me Amadeus). 4v1c4Gh4k3c

Firstly I bought a piracy version and only some months after got a legal album on a cassette. Still have first two albums only on a cassettes (and "Passion" on CD).

Possibly I'm the biggest and most dedicated fan of Lithuanian pop scene in the world, especially from 2000s decade. As I said many times before on different forums Lithuania is the music paradise for girl groups' fans. It is hard to imagine, but the country with only 3 million population have FOUR (!!!) top and many other (short-lived, a little less popular e.t.c.) girl groups. Three groups from "Big 4" did a comeback in some last years and all three ladies from the first YVA line-up still in the music. Do you have any interest in this introduction thread for Lithuanian girl groups and their music ?

Girl groups fans can pay attention on Lithuanian music scene, if the language is not very important for you, because their girl groups prefer to sing on a native Lithuanian. Really must start the introduction thread for everybody who wish to deep into a wonderful world of Lithuanian girl groups.

5th February 2005 is very important date in music for me, so this additional post is not related to UK chart. :cheer: Almost 20 years ago my all-time # 1 act girl group YVA performed "Barbie" in Lithuanian national pre-selection for Eurovision. It was impossible to imagine a long music career for all three original YVA members. In 2005 year YVA girls were newcomers in pop music, in the next years they released 4 albums and greatest hits collection, all three members significantly improved their vocal skills and continue to be in music after YVA split. In 2024 year Natalija have a strong solo career, Goda is a part of very popular girl group 69 Danguje, even Kristina sometimes recorded new songs with her group Kristal and have small music performances. Time is so fast. :cry: :cry: "Schizophonic" was the first album, which I bought. There are not any albums, which I heard more times from start to finish than "Schizophonic" and "Scream If You Wanna Go Faster". :heart:

Arja won in my Melodifestivalen 1987 ranking with all-time classic "Högt Över Havet". Why Sweden selected Lotta Engberg for Eurovision 1987 ? I don't understand this choice.

45. Pay TV - Trendy Discotheque (2004) Rate - 7/10 05DzNYLdjUs Cool memorable performance. "Trendy Discotheque" lyrics with a small portion of irony is not very far from some main YVA hits. In a parallel universe YVA easily could release a cover version of PayTV hit somewhere in 2008-2009.

OK, I can join to voting for 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s songs and maybe 50s too. 60s is not my thing.

"Lover", "Galvanize", "Colossal Insight" are awful, all three songs were a strong contenders for 0/10. But after it I heard very strange "E Talking" thing. Maybe the next week will bring more positive emotions.
