  1. Winner : Client - Pornography K3bx4tZ0pvQ 7.5 : Client - Pornography 6.5 : Pop! - Serious 6 : Thirteen Senses - Thru The Glass 5 : Rooster - Staring At The Sun 5 : Darius - Live Twice 4 : Pink Grease - Strip 4 : Manic Street Preachers - Empty Souls 4 : Longview - Coming Down 4 : Killers - Somebody Told Me 3 : Jamie Scott - Searching 3 : Kings Of Leon - Four Kicks 3 : Music - Breakin' 3 : Narcotic Thrust - When The Dawn Breaks 2 : Roni Size, Beverley Knight, Dynamite MC - No More 2 : Soul Central and Kathy Brown - Strings Of Life (Stronger On My Own) Average rate : 4.1 / 10 In the second selection we have three songs with good rates. The most successful Client single "Pornography" (# 22 in UK chart) easily won on this week. It's a serious contender for top 3 in "Gražios Dainos", when I will reach 2005 year in retrospective charts. British group Pop! released three singles in 2004-2005 years. On my music scale they are near Scooch level. Worse than allSTARS* and Steps, but higher than S Club 7, Hearsay and miles better than Liberty X. Jade McGuire (blonde lady) was on "X Factor UK" audition in 2015 year. "Thru The Glass" became a pleasant surprise, never heard anything from this band before. A little lower we have "wannabe 70s glam act" Pink Grease with his first UK top 40 single (unofficial 4.5/10). Killers big hit is a little annoying, Kings Of Leon song is even worse. In the selected year there were many indie and rock singles in 30s places region of UK chart (due low sales level), which I didn't hear before. So I listened each unknown song three times.
  2. Found it on UKMix in Danish Chart Archive topic. 1 week in chart on 19th place. After it they released the second single, a cover version of 1982 hit The Flirts - Jukebox (Don't Put Another Dime). UfNdyjtNGSA
  3. 52. Pay TV - Refrain, Refrain (2005) Rate - 7/10 fAwofyMH1w8
  4. 53. Excellence - Last To Know (2002) Rate - 7/10 gcpJlUfl3PA I prefer their single "Lose It All", which peaked at # 5 in my retro chart.
  5. What about retro matches ?

  8. I'm a big fan of Bjorn Again (ABBA tribute band) version of Erasure hit "A Little Respect" _k07RAnHZoc Speaking about the scores, with 4 weeks on the top of my chart, it's 8.5 / 10. For Erasure original - 7 / 10.
  9. Possibly I was in a bad mood due awful 2020 Eurovision lineup, when listened Melfest. But after the relistening in 2024 year I found three good songs from Melodifestivalen 2020 instead only one in past. There are over 20 songs on Swedish language in top 60.
  10. I like Girls Aloud version of "With Every Heartbeat".
  11. 54. Katrina and the Nameless - As If Tomorrow Will Never Come (2005) Rate - 7/10 XUMlhebMg7I Before some Swedish Eurovision participants we meet Katrina Leskanich, who brought the last win for United Kingdom almost 30 years ago. Possibly it's a big surprise, if you are not very familiar with 2000s Melodifestivalen history.
  12. 55. Gunilla Persson - I Won't Shake (La La Gunilla) (2024) Rate - 7/10 b5FmEqguhd0 The highlight of Melodifestivalen 2024 !!! Based on Youtube views (1,2 million) "I Won't Shake (La La Gunilla)" is 4th in this year, only behind M&M, Medina, Froken Snusk. Why she didn't wear something in a cowboy style ? But the performance was cool, even without it.
  13. 56. Therese - The Arrival (2007) Rate - 7/10 i1TpN5xF_ec
  14. My favourite is UK # 56 flop from Clash and Ellen Foley - Hitsville U.K. tv3vms9m9DU
  15. As always I am the opposite to Buzzjack opinion and dislike 'Vienna' very much.
  16. Just watched Wikipedia, it's from 1980, which is the next year in my cycle.
  17. Winner : Steve Brookstein - Against All Odds uLY7jbrIBpc 5 : Steve Brookstein - Against All Odds 5 : Kasabian - Cutt Off 5 : Interpol - Evil 4 : Seagulls Ska - Tom Hark (We Want Falmer!) 4 : Dana Rayne - Object Of My Desire 4 : Erasure - Breathe 3 : Jet - Get Me Outta Here 3 : Secret Machines - Sad And Lonely 1 : Scissor Sisters - Filthy / Gorgeous 1 : Lethal Bizzle - Pow! (Forward) Average rate : 3.5 / 10 Three songs got the same score, but only because I use 0.5 step only for higher marks. "Against All Odds" is more like virtual 5.5 / 10, so Steve Brookstein was declared as the first (predictable) winner here. His version of "Against All Odds" is my third favourite X-Factor winner's single (behind "Cannonball" and "The Climb"). I don't remember the original (heard it only once), so mostly familiar with Mariah and Westlife cover (7/10). Almost everybody on Buzzjack hate Westlife, but not me. Football songs are easy target for hate, but I don't have anything against them. Some from the them became big hits in my chart. Related to FC Celtic "The Bhoys Are Back In Town" (UK # 44 in 2003) from Dance To Tipperary was peaked at # 2 and had strong chartrun (2-2-5-6-7-9-11-14-17-18-20). Dana Rayne's single have some good parts and cute cartoon video, but in summary is too dance for me. In a bottom there are first two songs for my yearly "Worst list". I strongly dislike a vocals of male member in Scissor Sisters, so it was predictable place in the end. Scissor Sisters had one hit in my chart (Kiss You Off), but it's mostly like Ana's solo song. It was normal start, but how soon will we see the first positive score (6 or more) ?
  18. Possibly 2005 year is not so SAFE choice, as I thought.
  19. Even not in top 100 in sales chart. :(
  20. Her most well-known song, but not the best. 7/10 from me.
  21. 57. Ellen Benediktson and Simon Peyron - Surface (2020) Rate - 7/10 En_UQaYcPaQ "Last minute" entry in top 60, because I upgraded the song rate from the original 6/10 in 2020 year. It's the first from seven female / male duets in this countdown.
  22. The rules are the same for all years. I will rate five years from five different decades (from 1970s to 2010s). I prefer to say "Not Rated", because don't have any interest in listening and the ranking of instrumental tracks.
  23. 58. Calaisa - If I Could (2008) Rate - 7/10 LH-4nglbK-A
  24. 59. Cookies 'N' Beans - What If (2009) Rate - 7/10 RWlvBAbDCrg Wonderful Lithuanian music scene changed my vision on other girl groups, so I became more stricter when try to rate their music material.
