Simon Cowell has vowed to save TOTP, by buying it from the BBC! this article just added to Digital Spy! Simon Cowell has made an offer to the BBC for the Top Of The Pops format. Following the news that the broadcaster has axed its annual TOTP Christmas special, the X Factor producer has voiced his desire to revive the flagship music show. He told The Sun: "I've got a suggestion for them. If they don’t want it, I'll take it. I'm serious. They can give it to me or I will give them a bit of money. Why end the tradition? It's like not having Christmas pudding. I don't believe in breaking with tradition. "This year has been phenomenal for British music and we should celebrate by making Top Of The Pops at Christmas a fantastic event. I've made them an offer and let's see if they accept." Former TOTP presenter Scott Mills said that the decision to pull the show has "ruined Christmas". He added: "It'll be weird not having it there. It's like one less present to open. I can see how it's less popular now, with MTV and YouTube, but I always thought it would stay. I really want it back. It's not too late for the BBC to change their minds. It would be brilliant."

It can be done, there are some new turntables out there that plug straight into your PC via USB and it can convert songs to MP3 as you play. But these are quite expensive.

I don't really understand what you are asking of me, but I'm sure you understand singles have been in many formats over the years, CD, Vinyl, Cassette, MD and now downloads. I simply mean what I say, it is a 7 INCH 'VINYL' SINGLE (containing 1 track on both it's A & B sides), to be played at 45 rotations per minute on a turntable or record player....hope this helps ^_^

No, I assume it's a 7'' vinyl picture disk, although I've not actually checked, but 'picture disks' are normally in vinyl format.

I'm glad they've added another live performance on the picture disk, which by the way is not an 'LP' (long player) it's a 7" single! ^_^

It used to be done all the time, but more recently artists decide to just have a single out and just rush the album the following week, I'd like to see artists release more than 1 single before the album is out GA used to stick to this routine, but aren't this year!
