I was just wondering if anyone on here collects each No.1 single, and how big your collection is. I try to, but then again I started very late, some time in 2004 actually! although I have bought some obvious classics earlier just because I liked the song. But since 2004 I have tried to buy the No.1 song each week, discounting all the Elvis ones, (I really didn't feel the need! <_< plus they were just part of a money making ploy, and not the REAL most popular song that week!) Akon - Smack That, McFly - Star Girl & Babys Coming Back, Stereophonics - Dakota (don't know why as I like the song??) The Katie Melua 'Tesco' one AND Leon Jackson! (off the top of my head!) other than them few I have managed to get hold of all the other No.1's since around Oct 2004....yes a bit obsessive, but it is an addiction! anyway I have no doubt at all my collection will be beaten by someone on here! so lets hear from yeh!

I have purchased both tracks, and paid for both, VH is availible as a single on Itunes, were as VLV is the only pre-release track from the album availible to download. This interview is in this weeks NME, (which I bought for the 7''!) I did wonder when I read it If he says no one buy albums anymore, a stunt like that isn't going to help?! :wacko:

HOW many more "08'" re-hashes/mixes/covers/releases does there need to be this year!!! please stop it now! the music scene the last few years needs to be kicked into touck BIG style!

I'm not a fan of the song, plus Cheryl's part sounds over the top, desperate and....abit weak!!

British pop music has always been on top, and of course we are going to favour our own artists than others.....why rely on imports when we've got all the talent we need on our doorstep??? You only have to look at the Eurovison and ask yourself, why do all those European acts sing in english?????? -_- back to topic, what about 'The Maccarana'?? :lol:

NO it certainly isn't! and theres no need to be so offencive about it! making broad comments like that is just plain ignorant!! English language songs are more well recieved here in the UK, because believe it or not, people like to listen to songs that are sung in the language they speak and understand....!

Completely agree, they are not availible, so obviously they're not going to be selling!

I don't think anyones cares! which is sad! I care, but they've made it so hard now to buy them anywere! so we are just forced to stop buying! TBH the singles I have bought this year have all been off HMV.co.uk, I hope they don't stop that would be it! BUT think about it, what if in a few years time a mega-virus wipes everyones PC of everything!! would we all be refunded for all the non-existant singles we've purchased?? hmmm just a thought! :lol:

As much as I dislike Westlife and the likes, i do feel that is unfair that thier fans will not be able to access their music anymore, ,(especialy the older generation that don't, and never will feel the need to download music) it's all well and good saying "I'm glad Westlife/McFly..etc won't be as sucsessfull" but is that a fair chart then?!?

Question? will Madonna's new song be credited at 'Madonna featuring...' or just 'Madonna'?? IMO it should be 'Justin Timberlake & Timbaland..featuring Madonna' but thats a diffrent story! :rolleyes:
