I personally don't know why they held on to her after X-Factor, shes just another 'airhead blonde'...an c'mon we already have Pixie Lott to fill that void!
  2. For all the followers of this latest campaign, can you fill me in on one thing....why?
  3. The point has been proven last year by a (massive) bunch of self rightous morons...lets move on this now please..

Rumer doesn't have a chance of breaking the top ten, now 'Rumour featuring Tinie Tempah' would probably have shot up there, which is sad but probably true..although things could change??

I'm gonna buy Em/Ri now due to this fact! :naughty:
  9. As already mentioned, our charts are based on sales, have always been and should continue to be...regardless of whether records take a month to climb to the top or sell 1m copies one week then drop like a brick the next! thats what make the UK charts THE best in the world! ^_^

I think its probably worth that..... :naughty:
  11. Id like to see this but vs 2006 sales *shudders*
  12. I would have my doubts though with 'Five', pretty risky territory when it comes to 'popular' TV shows! ^_^
  13. New 'Top of the Pops' on Five? Friday, July 23 2010, 13:58 BST By Morgan Jeffery Richard Desmond has reportedly revealed that he wants to revive music show Top of the Pops. The Daily Express owner is currently in talks to buy and revamp TV channel Five. The Guardian now reports that if Desmond is successful, he hopes to produce a new version of the axed BBC series. He reportedly told colleagues that he wants "to create a series of landmark shows in peak time and believes a live music programme would win a big audience". The BBC cancelled the long-running programme in 2006, though a number of Christmas and New Year specials have aired since. The rights to the Top of the Pops format currently reside with BBC Worldwide. Desmond is reported to have placed a £100 million bid for Five. (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/news/a249039/new-top-of-the-pops-on-five.html) This may just be yet another 'TOTP' rumour. But if not, would the show have the same impact nowdays??
  14. Top 10..terrible! I will be pushed to remember any of those songs in 12 months time, let alone 10 years..and in a way, i'm glad :D Makes me sad to think of this time ten years ago! much happier (chart ^_^ ) times...imo

While we're on this subject...why 'URBAN'??? why does this word (that in a simple definition means 'opposite to rural') have anything to do with most artists that seem to fall under it's umbrella??

It's been said before, and i'll say it again! it's the lack of shows such as TOTP/CD UK, that is to blame for the current state of the UK charts. <_<

I'd rather see B.O.B at the top again over D.Rascal, can't stick anything he's ever done! 'Nothin' on you' just carries a touch more..class, when compared to a song with the lyric "drink till we can't stand up, and vomit" (Rascal, 2010)....nuff said.

Can all these 'Glee' people not see, they are just exploiting easily influenced people to make MONEY!!!?? , you want 'Bad Romance'?? go download Lady Gaga, same goes for EVERY other cover version this show is rolling out, like some demonic production line..... Simon Cowell must be gutted he didn't see the idea first!

Where have all the the BIG established acts gone??? just way too many one hit wonders, and songs that are popular because they feature on adverts :puke2: (the marketing execs definetly caught on to that one! <_< ) With the exception of the odd 'Lady Gaga's/BEP style' success story - NO ONE is releasing decent enough albums atm!

Well I disagree, it's thanks to the likes of Stock, Aitken and Watermen, that people think pop music can only be some idiots dancing about, miming to a backing track! The term is far too focused on that image nowadays!

SFG are pop, pure and simple. Theres nothing INDIE about them, other than the fact their kid fans may think they're indie!
