Capital FM short edits
Heart FM do this quite a bit as well even after the hourly news when there's sufficient time to play the whole song.

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 18th December 2015
Like I said before, the NHS choir only has to outpace JB by 3000 for yesterday, today and tomorrow to win and unless his streams have held up, it's very doable IMO.

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 18th December 2015
If they continue to increase at their current rate, it's pretty much a dead cert unless JB's streams are miraculously high.

Actually the gap is 0.398. Once again chart manipulation wins the day

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 18th December 2015
I feel your pain, my friend :( All they have to do is catch him by just 3,000 for today and the next 2 days; that's very doable IMO

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 18th December 2015
Like I said, unless his streams are at a record high, it most probably is. Those of us who dismissed the NHS Choir (including myself) were sorely mistaken.

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 18th December 2015
Looks like the status quo of X-Factor, charity and campaign singles topping the Christmas chart is set to continue unless JB's streams are at a record high.

I think it's because they were on Gareth Malone's BBC2 show "Siing While You Work" so that makes sense.
-
iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 18th December 2015
"Love Yourself" now down to 0.5068 combined as of the lastest update. Unless JB's streaming numbers are holding up, I can see the NHS Choir just pipping him to the post at the rate they're increasing. edit: beaten.

I believe it was 2003 when Michael Andrews and Gary Jules were No. 1 with "Mad World".

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 7th April 2013
Looks like DDTWID has run out of steam for real this time.
-
iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 7th April 2013
I asked that same question earlier and the response I got is that it's a pro-Thatcher track so I guess it is the opposite of DDTWID. edit: got beaten to it.

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 7th April 2013
Looks like the surge for DDTWID that I thought wouldn't happen is actually materialising. BTW is "I'm in Love with Margeret Thatcher" supposed to be a pro-Thatcher track or is it supposed to be a satirical dig at her?

How high will Judy Garland chart this week?
Yeah, I think its chance to be #1 has now passed now that I think about it.

How high will Judy Garland chart this week?
Considering it's still 12,000 sales behind Duke Dumont according to the Friday Midweek Update, I think #2 is the best it can hope to get this week (although there might be a surge next Wednesday).
-
iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 7th April 2013
Duke Dumont's top version now up to 86.5% behind DDTWID. Definitely guaranteed a second week at #1 now IMO unless there is a MASSIVE surge for DDTWID.
-
iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 7th April 2013
DDTWID's lead is now 85% compared to 80% this morning. Looks like it's running out of steam already.
-
iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 7th April 2013
DDTWID is starting to decrease so I'd say that #2 is the best it can hope for this week considering that Duke Dumont has a 14,000 sales lead over it.
-
iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 7th April 2013
DDTWID starting to fall already... edit: Please disregard my last sentence as DDTWID has climbed again.

Here is the post from that topic's creator clarifying what he's posted:

From the looks of things, according to a thread on Digital Spy, "Ding Dong! The Witch is Dead" will not be counted towards the official chart on Sunday due to the song being purchased on the grounds of political views.

Wasn't it 2009 when Rage Against the Machine got the Christmas No.1?

I can't think of any off of the top of my head. If there has been any I must've missed it/them.

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 24th March 2013
Pink's lead is now 31% combined. With "Mirrors" about to take No.1 from PJ&D on iTunes, it sure looks like that this might just be enough for her to claim her 4th No.1 single.
-
iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 24th March 2013
It will be close but at this stage, with Pink nearing a 30% combined lead over PJ&D it all depends on how many more singles Pink is selling ahead of PJ&D and whether that'll be enough to overturn the 10k deficit that it faces.
