Top 100 Singles/Albums + Compilations
About time Icona Pop charted - It's been in the German Top 100 for 32 weeks now and in the US Hot 100 for 21 weeks. Just why has it taken their record company so long to release it in the UK. I predicted a big hit 6 months ago for this Swedish duo

The Voice (UK) - Season 2
It shows even this week: 3 weeks for Leah in the chart with I Will Survive peaking at #8 and is still at #15 Also she's at #36 with Killing Me Softly With His Song and new at #85 with I'll Always Love You after just 1 day's sales. Andrea is at #75 with My Immortal Even Mike Ward is higher than Andrea with 2 singles: When I Was Your Man at #60 - Picking Up The Pieces at #72

The Voice (UK) - Season 2
Matt going first was definitely the right choice. I just don't know what Jessie saw in him. She really had the weakest team with Matt & screaming Ash. Andrea only won through getting the sympathy vote because she's partially blind. She does have a beautiful voice but she would send me to sleep. Leah is so unique - I would say that Leah will still have the more successful career. It's been reported that Will is going to whisk Leah to New York this week in a bid to get Leah's career started. Also it's been reported that after Saturday's result that Will may not be on the show next year.

The Voice (UK) - Season 2
My rankings would be: 1 - Leah 2 - Andrea (her voice sounds a bit like Maite of the Kelly Family) ------- Mighty Gap --------- 3. Mike 4. Matt (definite No-No but better than Ash who I couldn't stand from the start)

Emmerdale's Alan Turner dies aged 81
Actor Richard Thorp, who played much-loved character Alan Turner for over 30 years, has passed at the age of 81. Richard was an accomplished actor of film and television, having starred as Squadron Leader Henry Maudslay in the iconic 1955 feature film The Dam Busters. He made his first appearance on Emmerdale on 23 March 1982, having made him the longest-serving cast member on the show. Speaking to Series Producer Kate Oates regarding Richard's passing, "Richard's death is a sad loss to Emmerdale, of which he was at the heart for so many wonderful years. Richard had a brilliant sense of humour and he will be missed by every single member of our production whose lives he touched." On behalf of the cast, crew and production team at Emmerdale, we are extremely sad to hear of Richard's death. A pillar of the show, He will be greatly missed around the Emmerdale studios but will forever live on in all the wonderful memories we all have of him. Richard was a true professional and a complete gentleman. His charm, wit and effortless grace will be sorely missed. A previous major TV role was as Dr. John Rennie in Emergency – Ward 10 (1957–67). American Idol Season 12
Wrong one won again. Although it was a nice change to have a girl win it was the wrong girl who won. This was my top 5 in order of the girls. 1. Angie Miller 2. Amber Holcomb 3. Kree Harrison 4. Janelle Arthur 5. Candice Glover Though I've not bother to watch the last 2 weeks since Angie was voted off.

The Voice (UK) - Season 2
I can't understand why Alice didn't get stolen. Just why Jessie sole Matt is beyond belief - he can't sing. As for Danny picking Connor - he's just trying to be an Ed Sheeran clone

American Idol Season 12
It's been reported that Randy (Yo) Jackson is leaving American Idol. That only leave Ryan Seacrest left as original. The show has been losing viewers by about 22% this year and people are tuning in to The Voice - The Voice is broadcast on NBC at the same time as A.I. on Fox. It's also been reported that they will have a complete new set of judges next year as there has been cat-fighting between Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey. I'm not surprised that many viewers have been complaining about Nicki Minaj - her weird looks and equally weird croaky voice - She gets on my nerves as well. Since David Cook won 5 years ago there hasn't been a decent winner.

Emmerdale
Anyone know what has happened to Diane Sugden (Woolpack landlady) in Emmerdale? Elizabeth Estensen who plays Diane hasn't been seen onscreen since last summer. There is nothing on the Emmerdale website or Wikipedia.

This is a great track which is big in mainland Europe (including #1 in Germany this week) and currently climbing the iTunes chart. It has also entered the US Hot 100 this week I think that this Californian duo should be big here What do you think? 47dtFZ8CFo8

Summer Anthems of 2013?
I have been raving on about this Swedish single for about 4 months now. Its massive in mainland Europe and even at #9 in the US this week. If it hadn't have been a hit in the US I doubt it would even get a UK release. :( But now it has :yahoo:

Daft Punk a new band
I have not heard them being called a new band either but some people have never heard of their music before and think that way. Probably because most of there hits were made 10 to 15 years ago.

Daft Punk a new band
This weeks #1 if by Daft Punk - some people see them as a new band but they are definitely not. Daft Punk is an electronic music duo consisting of French musicians Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo (born 8 February 1974) and Thomas Bangalter (born 3 January 1975). Daft Punk reached significant popularity in the late 1990s house movement in France and met with continued success in the years following, combining elements of house with synthpop. The duo is credited with producing songs that are considered essential in the French house scene. The group was managed from 1996 to 2008 by Pedro Winter (Busy P), the head of Ed Banger Records. Early in the group's career, the band members were strongly influenced by groups such as The Beach Boys and The Rolling Stones. Bangalter and de Homem-Christo were originally in a band called Darlin', which disbanded after a short period of time, leaving the two to experiment musically on their own. The duo became Daft Punk, releasing its critically acclaimed debut album Homework in 1997. The 2001 release of Discovery was even more successful, driven by the club singles "One More Time", "Digital Love", and "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger". In March 2005, the duo released the album Human After All to mixed reviews. However, the singles "Robot Rock" and "Technologic" achieved success in the United Kingdom. Daft Punk toured throughout 2006 and 2007 and released the live album Alive 2007, which won a Grammy Award for Best Electronic/Dance Album. The duo composed the score of the film Tron: Legacy and in 2010 released the soundtrack album of the film. In January 2013, Daft Punk left EMI Records for Sony Music Entertainment's subsidiary label Columbia to release its next album, Random Access Memories, on 21 May 2013. Daft Punk is noted for its elaborate live shows, in which visual elements and effects are incorporated with the music. The group is known for its emphasis on visual and story components associated with their musical productions. Daft Punk is also known for its use of disguises, particularly the ornate robot costumes, while in public and/or performing. Here's their previous big UK hits.
