United Kingdom 2013
Yet another disaster for the UK - with another old has been. - Bottom 5 again I fear. A piece of trivia - what's the connection between Bonnie Tyler and 2000 entrant Nicki French (and she didn't do well either coming 16th) Both have had hits with Total Eclipse Of The Heart - Tyler's version was #1 30 years ago this week

American Idol Season 12
Nicki Minaj throwing a tantrum last night. She's so irritating and so talentless compared with Keih & Mariah. Sooner they get rid of her the better. Bring back Kara

American Idol Season 12
Mariah was brilliant but Nicki Minaj ARGGGH! All she seemed to do was mess about and she looked a right tramp. If I had been Mariah I would have clocked her one. I felt sorry for Keith having to sit between them. Come on Randy take control. Also for a 2 hour show there wasn't many auditions shown. First half hour was all Nicki Minaj messing around and then we had the same old uninteresting life stories. What people want from auditions shows are auditions. I might skip it now till the Hollywood shows.

US X Factor Season 3
After the announcement that L.A. Reid has left US X-Factor now it has been announced that Britney Spears has also left (no bad thing). She is said to be concentrating on new material but it is known that she has faced a lot of criticism for her performance on the show.

Alex's Favourites from UK Singles Chart (1970-2001)
They were a completely different line-up then back in 1969/70 with United We Stand. This original line-up on this track & the 2 follow-ups (Where Are You Going To My Love - #22 and Reach Out Your Hand) were Tony Burrows, Roger Greenaway, John Goodison, Sue Glover and Sunny Leslie. Much better singers than the Eurovision line-up. This is them: http://www.worldcharts.co.uk/images/other/bom70.jpg Sunny had a solo #7 hit in 1974 with Doctors Orders.

X Factor 2013 - Judging Panel
Out with Nicole and bring in Mel C or bring CC back. I'd also like to see Simon back. That won't happen as the US show is far superior and with a much superior format. Also out with the dreadful Dermot O'Leary and bring in Reggie Yeats & Ferne Cotton or anyone else except Ant & Dec or Phillip Schofield

American Idol Season 12
The new season of American Idol starts off with 3 new judges. After the departure of Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez after 2 seasons the judging panel goes back up to 4. Joining Randy Jackson will be Keith Urban, Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj. What do you think of the judging panel. I think much better now they've got rid of Jennifer (screechy voice) Lopez. In the UK it is no longer on ITV2 - it is now on 5* which is a channel associated with Channel 5 - not sure if 5* is on Freeview or not.

US X Factor 2012
Wrong act won - it should have been: 1. Carly 2. 5th Harmony 3. Tate Stevens One thing though, there wasn't 3 crap acts in the final like in the UK.

Sports Personality 2012
Which sports personality (NON-FOOTBALLER) should have been on the shortlist that isn't? For me it should have been Laura Trott and Alistair Brownlee.

X Factor UK or USA
And just who choses the talent on the UK shows - the UK Mentors. The UK show has lost 1/3 of the viewers in the last 2 years and if they don't do something about it they will lose another 1/3 next year. I stopped watching myself after Ella went because the rest were rubbish.

X Factor UK or USA

X Factor UK or USA
This year I prefer the US version. Simon has got the US show bang up to date. Reasons: Presenters UK - crap (Dermot O'Dreary too childish) USA great Mentors: UK 2 good - 2 crap (good Gary & Tulisa - crap Louis & Nicole) USA 2 good 2 crap (good Simon & Demi - crap LA & Shitney her squeally voice goes right through me) Acts UK final 12 -- 3 good -9 crap -- all 3 finalists are crap US finall 12 -- 10 good 2 crap -- one of these has now gone Adios Vino!! Format UK crap USA great
