  1. Just what is wrong with the public & the judges. Seems Nicole hasn't a clue what talent really is. No wonder she got kicked off the US show. All the good ones are dropping like flies. A good singer has gone out every week so far and yet the likes of rubbish Rylan, & Christopher are still there. If either of them win they will be another Steve Brookstein. As for screaming Jahmene - he's over hyped and that snigger of his just gets on my nerves. There are now only 2 good ones left - Ella & James - is it either of these going next week? :o Just how could the judges say Union J were better than Jade. She was absolute brilliance in the sing off, although she shouldn't have been in the bottom 2 in the first place. I don't like boybands much but if anything it should have been District 3 not Union J in the bottom 2. D3 have been a mess every week. Next week's #1s week - Ryland doing Shaddap Your Face or Mr. Blobby :w00t: My ratings now: 1. Ella 2. James 3. Lucy 4. Kye 5. Union J 6. Christopher 7. Jahmene 8. District 3 9. Rylan I won't give any ratings next week - I'm done watching this series apart from the final maybe (if Ella's still in it). - No wonder the show is losing viewers.
  2. Did anyone realise that the 2002 classic We've Got Tonight by Ronan Keating (original by Bob Seger) was recorded with different girls for release in different countries. Lulu in UK, Ireland, Australia & Canada 3p5Egq7dZGc Jeanette in Germany, Austria & Switzerland _mm8cpVJMC8 Trijntje Oosterhuis in Holland & Belgium rblUcRLsACI Kyla in Phillipines, Indonesia & Thailand f-b90AyrcSI Giorgia in Italy QxAjVVSVrjc
  3. Rylan Clarke - Monster Mash

Yorkshire accents :o - not all i'm afraid Kerry, Amy & Val are all Geordies, Debbie is from Bury, Katie - Bolton, Nicola - Burnley, Zak - Bury, Andy - Oldham, Marlon - Bolton, Charity - Morecambe,Pearl - Manchester, Rhona - Manchester, Bob - Manchester, Cain - Manchester - Betty - Manchester, Jai - Manchester (all Lancashire/Greater Manchester) Declan - London, Cameron - London, Rodney - Oxford, What about all those appalling London accents in Eastenders - I'd rather watch Emmerdale than Eastenders anyday

I'm not a happy bunny as Carolynne was my #1 and Melanie #4 These are my rankings now: 1. Ella Henderson 2. Jade Ellis 3. MK1 4. Lucy Spraggen 5. Union J 6. James Arthur 7. Christopher Maloney 8. Kye Sones 9. District 3 10. Jahmene Douglas 11. Rylan Clark
  8. District 3 sang rubbish in the sing-off - At the beginning you couldn't even tell what the blonde one in the middle was trying to sing. They should definatley have gone - one boyband is enough and Union J are not as bad as these. Talking of screaming - Jahmene does his share of that & even sounds like a girl, also his snigger gets on my nerves.
  9. I am in total agreement with you - 2 brilliant singers gone in 2 weeks - if Ella & Jade go out in the next 2 weeks there will only be rubbish left apart from the half decent MK1. E & J are the only brilliant singers left - even Lucy (though good) is a one trick pony. - Rylan, apart from being a rubbish singer he's a total nutcase & saying he is entertaining - he just makes me want to throw up. :puke2: :puke2: This show is becoming a total joke. No wonder the ratings have plumetted. Rebecca's performance was brilliant and Taylor Swift was amazing - about time we had some good country music back in the UK charts. We need Carrie Underwood to chart next.
  10. Hope either District 3 or Union J are bottom 2 but I still want Rylan out

For Emmerdale's 40th anniversary there are going to be 2 weddings (Katie & Chas), 2 births (one to Debbie & one to Jenny) and 1 death Who's going to die? Any ideas
  12. Here's an idea for a theme that should show who the real singer are: A NIGHT AT THE OPERA
  13. But she did come 3rd - the late Barry Gibb (who was a judge) actually put her first. I think it was more a case of her being expected to be safe so people just didn't bother voting. Her sing off song Faith Hill's - There You'll Be was brilliant. Also it is a song that is very dear to me.
  14. Along with Ella & Jade she should have been Top 3 not bottom. Only decent group this year is MK1 - all the lads are rubbish apart from Chris in the overs As for Ryland he's just a joke :puke2: :puke2:
  15. I fully agree with you - Carolynne is a brilliant singer. She was just as good when she was on Fame Academy 9 years ago. Will she be back to Emmerdale I wonder? I just can't understand how that cry baby nutcase survived - shows Nicole & Louis have no taste. Louis says he's entertaining - well he's not what I would call entertainment. The sooner he goes the better :puke2: :puke2:

What do you predict - great comeback single For me she still sound miles better than Shitney and she's still a lot sexier too. 6cfCgLgiFDM
  17. Hopefully flop
  18. Loved their early stuff such as Pictures Of Matchstick Men - Ice In The Sun - Black Veils Of Meloncholy - Technicolour Dream - Make Me Stay A Bit Longer - Are You Growing Tired of My Love - Price Of Love - Down The Dustpipe - In My Chair. All their stuff up till late 1973 - I even like their music in the previous incarnations as Traffic Jam and Spectres. Later than 1971 the music was boring apart from the odd hit such as In The Army Now.

That's because the pirates had no such thing as an official playlist. Well at least Radio Caroline, Radio London, Radio City and Radio 270 didn't.

That was the BBC chart which was not the official chart at that time. The BBC only used the official chart from February 1969 So in fact we are both correct. The BBC chart was compiled as an average from all the magazine charts such as: Melody Maker, NME, Disc & Music Echo etc. The official chart was only published in Record Retailer (now Music Week) and Record Mirror it's non-trade sister magazine.

On Sunday 30 September Radio 1 is 45 years old. Originally a BBC replacement for the pirate radio stations, although not as good as at this time it was subject to needle time and records were only aloud to be played for a certain time each day. The pirates broadcast records 24hours a day. Even now with the playlists it's still way behind what the pirates used to do. Their DJs had complete freedom as to what they played within their genres. You can see the Top 50 singles chart of that week - HERE You can listen to the launch of Radio 1 J13qNjP__CU
  24. Bad move Lewis - what have Mercedes achieved on track - one win in 3 years. Who do you think will take the now vacant Souber seat. I think it will be Guttierez as he's currently their reserve driver. I then think British GP2 driver James Collado should then become their reserve driver. I would have thought about Max Chilton but he's now Marrussia's reserve driver. What happens to Schumacher now - permanent retirement hopefully :w00t:

My favourite memories: When we first got MTV in 1993 the first VJ I saw was gorgeous Marijne van der Vlugt. She was also singer in a band called Salad. I even remember the first video I saw was All That She Wants by Ace Of Base. This was long before it had a UK release. My favourite VJ was Simone Angel, she used to present Party Zone on Friday nights. Show was full of European techno & dance music plus interviews. I remember I always recorded it to watch during the week. Used to love the pants of her.   In 2005 she married former Newcastle Utd. footballer Andy Hunt. They now live on Aruba and have two children together, named Lucas and Aidan http://www.worldcharts.co.uk/images/other/simone.jpg Here's a list of VJ's I remember & the shows they presented: Simone Angel - Party Zone, MTV Dance, Dance Floor Paul King - MTV News, Morning Mix, Hitlist UK, MTV's Greatest Hits. Ray Cokes - Most Wanted, X-Ray Vision, The Big Picture Pip Dann - Dial MTV, MTV at the Movies Rebecca de Ruvo - MTV Prime Eden - Euro Top 40, MTV Select, Dance Floor Chart Kristiane Backer - MTV's Coca-Cola Report, European Top 40, Awake on the Wild Side Steve Blame - MTV News Vanessa Warwick - Headbangers Ball (Rock show) Marijne van der Vlugt - The Pulse With Swatch, Post Modern Ingo - Morning Mix Carolyn Lilipaly - MTV News, MTV News at Night, Hitlist UK Lisa I'anson - MTV News, The Soul of MTV, Hitlist UK Downtown Julie Brown - Club MTV (broadcast from MTV USA) Enrico - Hangin' Out, Select MTV, Afternoon Mix And then there was Beavis & Butthead  Used to love they way they played, not just UK & US videos but videos from all over Europe. Those were the days - MTV at its very best. It went absolute crap when they split it up.
