X Factor 2012
Surely Carolynne & Ella have to be in the live shows they are the best this year and have real talent, & maybe Lucy. Don't like any of the guys this year - this surely has to be the weakest category Only decent group is MK1

X Factor 2012
This week is the first time i've watched since the first of the auditions shows. I boycotted them for only showing 5 complete auditions in a one hour show. All those back stories bore me to death. I wish they'd go back to the old system - just the judges & auditionees.

X Factor 2012
Have you chucked your TV out yet - But I agree he's the worst of all the finalists - Another Johnny Robinson or Wagner - at least Louis can't pass him through from judges houses

X Factor 2012

X Factor 2012
Love Carolynne to go all the way & win this year  Beautiful looks & a tremendous voice Apart from her auditioning last year she's no stranger to TV. In June this year she appeared in Emmerdale as Talia Brice girlfriend of Jake's dad & Alicia's ex-husband Justin in the story of Justin trying to have custody of Jake. Fame Academy In 2003, (under her maiden name Good) she appeared in the second series of the BBC's singing competition Fame Academy, in which she reached the final. A song she co-wrote with fellow contestants Alex Parks and James Fox titled "Not Your Average Kind of Girl", was included on Parks' 2003 debut album Introduction, which reached number 5 in the UK Top 40 Album charts and has since been classified double platinum in the UK, and gold in six other countries including Italy, Greece, Germany, and Australia.

X Factor 2012
Not when it was just the judges & auditionees same as American Idol. The show was almost all auditions then.

X Factor 2012
The whole audition shows are now a complete joke. Only 5 complete auditions again last night in a 1 hour show. All these back stories are a complete bore. Who cares about them, what we want to see are auditions. Since they started live auditions it is rubbish. :( I for one will not be watching until the bootcamp shows. No wonder the ratings have gone down the pan.

X Factor 2012
This is a first for X Factor in 9 years. Last night's auditionee Lucy Spraggan has hit the chart at #70 with that song - LAST NIGHT Really Impressive - That's just from the audition.

X Factor 2012
I agree - too much about their lives and not enough of the auditions (Boooooooring!!!) Who cares about somebody being a chimney sweep or the sob stories. Same with the conversations with Dermot O'Dreary outside. Then there are the countless & extra long ad breaks with all the trailers. I think there were only about 6 auditions broadcast on the whole show - then they wonder why they are losing viewers. That girl Lucy Spraggan from Sheffield who sang 'Last Night' was really the best of the night for me - so different. Song reminded me a bit of Victoria Wood's type of thing.

X Factor 2012
So did all those fans of his band Westlife over the years - at least we've see the last of this rubbish

X Factor 2012
Mel B is absolutely the pits. She's the Spice Girl I always disliked was the least talented and I dislike her even more now. There's a way of putting people down and her's deffo isn't it. Glad she didn't get the job full time. Not usually into sob stories but Ella was the star of the auditions on Saturday.

Geoffrey Hughes dies aged 68
Coronation Street and Keeping Up Appearances actor Geoffrey Hughes has died aged 68, his agent said. The star, famed for his role as Coronation Street binman Eddie Yates, died last night "peacefully in his sleep" after a "long courageous battle" with prostate cancer, according to his family. Hughes also played Vernon Scripps in Heartbeat, Twiggy in TV comedy The Royle Family and Onslow in Keeping Up Appearances. His last major TV role was playing Uncle Keith in Skins back in 2009. Born in Wallasey Hughes often portrayed cheery, larger than life characters. He had undergone a course of radiotherapy in 2010 after collapsing at his home on the Isle of Wight. Ricky Tomlinson, who appeared alongside Hughes's Twiggy character in the Manchester-based Royle Family, was one of the first to pay tribute. "Geoff wasn't just an actor," he said. "He was my mate. I used to call him every few weeks but hadn't spoken to him in about a fortnight. It's such a loss." Geoff appeared on the famous cobbles from 1974 to 1983, reappearing in 1987. His famous rows with Hilda Ogden went down in Weatherfield history. A spokesman for Coronation Street said: "We are very sad to hear of the death of Geoffrey Hughes. He created a legendary and iconic character in Eddie Yates who will always be part of Coronation Street. Everyone connected with the programme sends our sincerest condolences to his family and friends." R.I.P. Geoffrey http://www.worldcharts.co.uk/images/other/hughes.jpg

PREDICT: Of Monsters and Men - Little Talks
Where do you think this should chart - Already been massive in the US, Germany, Austria, Belgium (Flanders), Belgium (Walloon), Canada, Holland, Switzerland & now climbing in France. They are the biggest band to come out of Iceland since Sugarcubes back in the 80s & deserves to be a big hit in the UK Of Monsters & Men - Little Talks ghb6eDopW8I

Tyler & Lopez quit American Idol
On July 12, 2012, Tyler announced that he would be leaving American Idol after two seasons, released a statement saying, "After some long ... hard ... thoughts ... I've decided it’s time for me to let go of my mistress 'American Idol' before she boils my rabbit. Jennifer Lopez has also quit stating "I honestly feel like the time has come that I have to get back to doing the other things that I do that I've put kind of on hold," she said on Friday. Lopez spent two seasons as a judge on the US talent search, whose viewing figures have slumped in recent years. The programme's 12th season is due to commence in the autumn. "I just don't feel like I can be there every single day all the time like I have been for the past two years," Lopez said in a phone call to Idol host Ryan Seacrest's radio show. The 42-year-old had earlier said it would be "hard" to continue on the show without Tyler on the judging panel.

Lykke Li - I Follow Rivers
Lykke Li - I Follow Rivers is massive all over Europe (#1 in Germany this week) and brilliant. Given airplay it should be a big success here. Where should it peak in UK There is an acoustic version by Belgium rockband Triggerfinger (#1 in Belgium & Holland) but it's not a patch on the original. Born Li Lykke Timotej Svensson Zachrisson; 18 March 1986 in Ystad), is a Swedish singer-songwriter. Her music often blends elements of pop, indie rock and electronic; various instruments can also be found in her songs, including violins, synthesizers, tambourines, trumpets, saxophones and cellos.
