A real shock result - I'm also glad the judges used their save. I can't understand why Joshua Ledet & Phillip Phillips are still their. Joshua can only scream & Philllip just OTT and the faces he makes just make me cringe. The only guy any good is Colton.

Officially it is the first single from an album even if it is months between the releases of the single & album Sometimes you get 2 singles released before an album - but it is the first that is the lead

    Which UK channel broadcasts it?
  15. A schedule clash between BBC talent show The Voice and Britain’s Got Talent on ITV is all but 'inevitable'. The broadcasters are already embroiled in a bitter war for Saturday nights - despite the fact their rival entertainment shows have yet to air. Britain’s Got Talent star Alesha Dixon confirmed the ITV show will start on Saturday March 24 – the same day as the corporation’s new show launches. Now BBC insiders have conceded a clash between the two programmes is likely. Schedules have yet to be finalised but BBC1 is aiming to broadcast the first episode between 7 and 7.30pm. An ITV insider admitted it plans to schedule Britain’s Got Talent between 7.45 and 8pm on the same night. As the opening episode of The Voice will be at least 75 minutes long – this means there will be an overlap between the two. There is also set to be a fashion battle as Miss Dixon, 33, and fellow BGT judge Amanda Holden, 41, try and outshine 23-year-old singer Jessie J who is a coach on The Voice. Which you you be watching? Personally I will watch The Voice - BGT is crap now with only a couple of decent acts in a series. Also especially since Simon went and they brought in the boring Hoff
  16. Jimmy Ellis, lead singer of 70s disco outfit the Trammps—the Philadelphia band that helped fuel the disco revolution with their classic anthem "Disco Inferno"—died Thursday in a South Carolina nursing home. He was 74. Led by Ellis' booming baritone, the Trammps had their first chart success with 1972's cover version of Judy Garland's "Zing! Went the Strings of My Heart," but it wasn't until the release of the 1973 single "Love Epidemic" that they became identified with the new dance craze erupting out of New York and Philadelphia clubs. The outfit caught the disco wave of the mid-'70s but didn't become a household name until dropping what turned out to be their most memorable dance hit, 1976's "Disco Inferno," with its funky festive sound and catchy chorus of "burn, baby, burn." Source New York Times states the cause of death was complications of Alzheimer's disease. The Trammps had 5 UK hits in the 70s #29 in 1974 -- Zing Went The Strings Of My Heart UHSOxEvoDK0 #40 in 1975 -- Sixty Minute Man #5 in 1975 -- Hold Back the Night X49doPwp0bc #35 in 1976 -- That's Where The Happy People Go #42 in 1976 -- Soul Searchin' Time #16 in 1977 -- Disco Inferno -- used in the soundtrack of Saturday Night Fever A_sY2rjxq6M R.I.P. My 2 fave girls: Jessica & Hollie followed by Erika My 2 fave guys: Colton & Jemaine followed by Heejun Of the Wild Cards I only like Erika (she should have been Top 10 instead of Elise who tried copying Brooke White) - Jeremy is just bland and DeAndre Brackensick sounds sick screaming like a girl & a perm to match

On the first live show - none of the guys stood out for me except Colton & Jermaine. The gentle giant deserves to be back. The ones most overrated by the judges for me were Adam Brock & Phil Phillips

  22. Davy was the English one, born in Leamington Street, Openshaw but lived in Denton, Manchester and my favourite of the band. The Monkees were one of the original boybands, brought together for the TV series. They were so popular in the late 60s that they had 4 US#1 albums (2 of which were UK#1s, a #2 & a #5) in a year. Davy also played Colin Lomax (Ena Sharples grandson) in Corrie in 1961 His mother died when he was 14 and on leaving school trained as a jockey But of couse it was as a memeber of The Monkees where he became internationally famous He also released a solo single whilst being a member of The Monkees R.I.P.
